Negative experience: They make cancelling your membership difficult and forced to pay several months of gym membership I didn't use.

Negative experience: Not a good gym, too small and not a lot of equipment. Cancelled after 12mths. Have to give a month's notice, but they stop your fob from working so you can't enter until you've resigned a contract. Total joke as not signing a new contract, just cancelling my membership. So you pay a month's fee and cannot access the gym. Don't waste your money, just find a decent gym.

Negative experience: What an absolute joke this club actually is. I cancelled my membership due to moving over 9 months ago and I was told I had to pay for 6 months and provide proof of moving (personal information) just to cancel, are you serious!! I have just been charged £24 late fee as I cancelled the direct debit as I kept getting charged, only to get a rude lady on the phone demanding I pay the 2 months missed £56 then the £24 late fee without any help offered. I will never use this gym again!! (Oh wait I haven’t for over 12 months!!) Please be careful when signing up with a contract with this buisness as you can easily get stung. Ps don’t worry the money has been paid! Just make sure this time you actually cancel the memebership.

Positive experience: I'll start with the things that need improving. The place is a bit on the small side and not enough dumbbells. Also, I've spoken to one of the managers (more than a month ago) about some massive chunks of fiber glass insulation that were left on top of the room where fitness sessions are being held and nothing has been done about it. Surely, fiber glass abandoned in the open is not what you want to have around you especially whilst exercising; breathing heavily. I don't know about you but I like my lungs. Another aspect that needs improving if their fob-entry system. It's too slow. You just want to scan your fob and get in not faf about outside the entrance in the cold. Some positives: Atmosphere is good and I noticed a minimum of weights slamming. I like doing pull ups so I was happy to see that there were quite a few pull up bars. Parking is free and there is a Tesco right next to it. Overall, this little gym has potential but things need improving in order to compete against other similar gyms.

Negative experience: Was a great gym to start, clean, friendly, though quite busy at times and not enough space or equipment (for the price you pay can be frustrating) Though when it comes to cancelling, I've now been charge 4 months membership in 'arrears' though not having access to the gym for those 4 months. Still hounding me for money.

Fantastic experience: Open 24/7 so can work out whenever you feel like it, very clean gym lovely staff, just don't feel comfortable in the weights section, a lot of regular users tend to give people a weird stare at you if you're not buffed up trying to better yourself without the use of steroids.

Negative experience: Anytime Fitness in Leigh is honestly quite over priced for what it is. The gym as a whole is small and given that the company currently ask over £300 a year for membership I really do not think it is worth the price. The quality of equipment available in the gym is good and everything is clean and tidy but it's no better in terms of quality and presentability than PureGym or The Gym which are significantly cheaper while still offering 24 hour access.

Fantastic experience: Excellent gym, with great all round apparatus, being open 24hours is a real benefit, due to my shift work.. I would suggest adjusting the times to 24 hours on this website, this way I can plan when to visit the gym according to how busy you are, as shown on the graph.

Negative experience: Don't dare cancel your Direct Debit here, even over 12 months AFTER your 12 month Membership is expired. You will be hounded with phone calls, emails and texts at LEAST twice a day. Crazy how mental they are for £27.99 a month. Harassment. Had to block all the different numbers which they text from AND their emails. I have notified them in writing TWICE NOW that I wish to cancel my membership, yet they just re send me a link to re-instate my Direct Debit. Awful company. Gym is way too small, cannot get on any equipment during peak times, also cannot get a shower in the morning due to all changing rooms being in use - resulting in being late for work.
