Our comment from FitFit UK about Hybrid Fitness Wimbledon:
Hybrid Fitness Wimbledon is a modern and welcoming gym located in the heart of London. Members appreciate the wide variety of classes available, from Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu to Hot Yoga, alongside functional fitness options that cater to all skill levels. The staff is consistently praised for their friendliness and support, creating a community atmosphere that makes working out enjoyable.
Many users enjoy the recently updated equipment and facilities, particularly the dedicated spaces for Padel and Squash, which add to the unique offerings of this gym. Furthermore, the on-site cafe serves healthy snacks and drinks, enhancing the overall experience for members.
Despite the positives, there are a few areas that need improvement:
- Maintenance Issues: Some users have reported ongoing problems with the squash court and cleanliness, citing the need for better management when it comes to repairs and hygiene.
- Noise Levels: Class sessions can be quite loud, sometimes disrupting those who are trying to work out in communal areas.
- Lack of Equipment: A few members have expressed the need for more variety in equipment, as well as improvements to facilities such as showers and locker rooms.
Overall, Hybrid Fitness Wimbledon is poised to be a great choice for fitness enthusiasts looking for a fun workout environment, with the potential for further enhancement as management addresses member feedback.

Hybrid Fitness Wimbledon: Opinions
Negative experience: Do not join this gym if you’re hoping to play squash. The court is falling apart with exposed concrete on the walls and the ball bouncing off at all angles. I have raised this with management multiple times but keep getting told it’s being looked into, but nothing ever gets done. I didn’t even receive a response to my last email in June. Also, the classes take part in the free weights area and the music is played incredibly loud…so good luck working out whilst a class is on. Also, the gym is underground so no natural light and I’m not sure how often it gets cleaned as I’ve never seen a cleaner in there, but the smell coming from the toilets some days is appalling. Apart from these issues, it’s a fairly nice gym.
Negative experience: Cannot rate higher than 1* due to the fact that facilities that are paid for through membership are damaged: 1. Squash court wall has not been fit for purpose since before i joined the gym and there doesn’t seem to be any urgency to fix it. 2. There are often issues with cleaniness and facilities not working properly such as hot water. 3. There is often a bad smell near the mat area opposite the Padel court. 4. The classes in the morning are super loud and using headphones doesn't block the noise. They also use communal gym space meaning that the number of free weights and squat racks is significantly reduced at peak times. If these are sorted, I may consider rejoining and updating this review.
Negative experience: The worst gym we have ever been a member, but the only option we have close to us at the moment. My husband had his jacket stolen in a locked locker with important belongings there. Used to be more clean, but recently I have found the machines very dirty, no matter what time it is. The yoga mats in the streching area need an urgent replacement as they are terribly damaged - and also would be very helpful if it is added a few more, since there are only 2. Today I planned all my day to go to the gym at 6pm because it says they close at 8pm on Sundays - according to Google and official website. But they were closed when I got there, around 6pm. Gym management needs substantive improvement over all.
Fantastic experience: Played Paddle and squash while there. Paddle facility is good and good fun if you turn up with friends. Squash court needs a bit of TLC on the wall, but good for casual play. Gym, Paddle, Squash are located in basement, while you could find boxing and yoga rooms in ground floor. They do have a Cafe at the ground floor as well, which is convenient.
Negative experience: We pay for facilities like showers other than equipments. However the gym is out of hot water for over a week. How long does it take to call someone and fix it? They say no one’s even came to check it yet. Absolute bad management. Staff says because they need to wait the contractor fix it, just move on do it yourself or change the contracts. Absolute non sense.
Positive experience: Hybrid Fitness is a great gym, with a nice personal touch that fills in a gap in the area that no other gym fits... At a noticeable higher price tag. The closest gym is over 1 km away, enough for closeby neighbours to consider joining. But if they are like me, they'll join and never go, because just running to the gym is a workout of its own. But this is next to the shopping centre and in the middle of a new build and residential area, so for me it's worth paying more and having no excuse to fail to go than pay less and not go. The people are friendly in this gym, both the staff and the crowd, and even in crowded hours it's not overwhelming. I miss some things, however. For one, spinning is my overall most favourite class, but there are a total of three bikes in the gym, of which none are spinning bikes. I miss that. Also, the weight machines are of the type where you load weighs on them rather than the ones you choose a weigh through moving a stopper. That's OK... but it's not user-friendly. Total beginners, people with disabilities and older generations may not have the strength to load and unload those weights. Took one star for the high price, and another for the machines.
Fantastic experience: Blake was very helpful and resourceful. As a PT his session gives immediate results
Negative experience: Scammers
Fantastic experience: The best thing about Hybrid Fitness Wimbledon is the staff. I haven't ever been to a gym where the staff are so approachable and welcoming. I have spoken to all three of the PT guys there and they're so warm and friendly. The gym is strong too.
Fantastic experience: I have joined solely for the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu classes. They are excellent and Stefan is a great instructor. I'm delighted this gym has opened. The staff are very friendly and helpful. We did the Rebalance class to get started, Justyn was great, he went above and beyond to make us feel welcome.
Fantastic experience: PT session with Reuben was totally special. He combines a focused workout, with knowledgeable guidance, plus a big dose of fun. Highly recommended.
Negative experience: I have been a member of this gym since it has opened and have on a few occasions been let down by management with their operating times. First occasion there was zero communication about early closure of the gym and this time they are not following their own reduced time table schedule. The gym was supposed to close at 10pm, I arrived at 8:30pm and the gym was already closed. Feel very let down as a customer by this and it is not difficult to keep customers informed of such simple things. I truly hope they resolve their management issues as this is such an inconvenience and a frustration
Fantastic experience: Great place to play Padel. Shout out to Reuben and Ivan who recovered my phone when I dropped it!
Fantastic experience: Great gym. Brand new equipment of every type you could need and if functional fitness/CrossFit's your thing, this is an especially great option. Padel court and Squash courts are a bonus and often busy and the cafe on the Ground Floor is a great option too. I haven't been to many of the classes but the class size is always small (I think max of 8) which means you get a really tailored experience from your instructor. All in all, this has revolutionised my fitness regime (partly because it's basically next door) and for that I'm very grateful!
Fantastic experience: Good spot, nice atmosphere
Fantastic experience: Quiet gym and new equipment. Highly recommend.
Fantastic experience: Tom was absolutely first class.
Fantastic experience: Good court options, new facilities and friendly staff
Fantastic experience: My favourite gym in London. Great equipment, well laid out, classes are superbly run by great hybrid fitness team, padel /squash hot yoga / BJJ / boxing...couldn't recommend enough - oh and incredibly good value for money.
Fantastic experience: Great vibe! Fantastic energy! You will be motivated to use your membership as oppose to paying for something monthly that you don’t use, like most gym members.
Fantastic experience: I love Hybrid Fitness. There is an array of classes available and the instructors are exceptional. It's like a community with polite and friendly staff but also the members too. Feels like a breathe of fresh air, which is very rare and hard to find. The gym itself is clean and equipped with up to date equipment. Keep up the good work!
Fantastic experience: Really friendly and amazing team. Gym is clean and well equipped. The trainers are encouraging and lovely. They also have yoga classes as well as strength classes, and a boxing space. Fav gym.
Fantastic experience: I absolutely love this gym! The Hot Yoga classes are brilliant, I had never tried them before and now I book one for every week! They’re such a good way to stretch after sitting at a desk all week. The gym itself is wonderful! I did notice some other negative reviews saying there’s a lack of equipment but the gym has always been honest and disclaimed that more equipment was arriving- and it has! Tonight I noticed 3 new leg machines and with more equip on the way there definitely isn’t a lack of equipment :) The staff are really friendly and very approachable to chat too if you need anything. The gym itself is rarely packed so I always feel like I can go and do an efficient workout rather than waiting around for machines. A special mention to Cocoandnut (the cafe upstairs) who do the yummiest protein smoothies
Negative experience: The place is falling apart for months and the management don’t seem to care. The squash court has been unuseable for 6 months, as the middle of the wall has collapsed. Tried speaking to staff and no one knows when it’ll be fixed. Emailed Sean (the manager) but have been ignored. It’s a shame as the place has great potential.
Fantastic experience: Perfect gym. Balanced between, cardio, free weights and classes. Staff are friendly and knowledgable if you need any help. Gym is still growing with more machines/ weights and looking forward to the Wi-Fi!
Fantastic experience: Great new gym, with excellent classes, reasonable pricing and a friendly team. Welcoming to all. An excellent addition to the local area.
Fantastic experience: Hybrid Fitness Wimbledon has been a game-changer for my husband and I. Not only have the classes exceeded our expectations, but they've also had a significant positive impact on our mental health and physical well-being. We've had the pleasure of experiencing classes with several personal trainers at Hybrid Fitness Wimbledon, and each one has been outstanding. Tom's classes, in particular, have been a highlight of our gym experience. His expertise, clear explanations, and motivational style make each session a rewarding and empowering journey. Tom's ability to create a supportive and uplifting environment, as well as help us set achievable goals, has been instrumental in our fitness progress. The staff's friendly and welcoming approach adds to the overall positive atmosphere at the gym. It's evident that they genuinely care about each member's fitness journey and well-being. For anyone looking to improve their fitness, mental health, and overall wellness, Hybrid Fitness Wimbledon is the perfect choice! We would highly recommend!
Fantastic experience: Everything is truly amazing in this place. The staff, the structure, the classes, the padel courts and the cafe. It's all you need in only one place for a reasonable price. The vibe is also fantastic, everyone is respectful and kind at the same time. A place for everyone, from the gym addicted people until the ordinary ones chasing their daily doses of endorphins like me :)
Fantastic experience: Great gym, good choice of classes and fantastic coaches who always encourage you! Combat zone accessable anytime (unless there's a class) which is important for me. Thank you guys! Zane and Ivan
Fantastic experience: Great choice of facilities (combat, yoga, gym, classes, padel & squash)! Super friendly staff too which makes all the difference!
Fantastic experience: Well equiped gym with fantastic and friendly staff!
Fantastic experience: Amazing gym!! Great space, amazing staff and a really welcoming atmosphere which is so useful for building momentum in my fitness routine love it!
Fantastic experience: So glad this gym has come to Wimbledon. Such a win for the area. The staff are really nice and helpful, always give a warm welcome. I did a boxing class with Zane which was great, really pushed us and taught us good technique, coming from a boxing gym previously this was appreciated. The gym floor is good, never feels too busy and even when there is a class going on there is still kit and space as they have a designated area for classes. Padel and squash are a huge added bonus too. Very happy with this gym.
Fantastic experience: I can honestly say this is the best gym I have ever been to. The staff are extremely friendly, and the trainers are extremely proffesional and polite, they will also take the time during their class to teach you about your posture and how to improve. I am so happy I joined before their open day. The gym itself is well-equipped and clean. I have been to many gyms in Wimbledon, and this place beats them all. Dee
Fantastic experience: Clean, nice place to workout. The padel and squash courts are a cool bonus and the receptionist was very helpful at explaining how everything works. Changing rooms nice and clean as well. There’s also a little café with lots of options for people with dietary requirements and the food is really yummy!
Fantastic experience: Staff is experienced and they know what is the best for you. They are passionate, friendly and kind. All the equipment is new and here is everything you need in the gym. As well there is a coffee shop inside. It is called Coco and Nut Coffee. They have amazing desserts and toasties. For gym people, there are protein shakes, smoothies and other protein goods. I am definitely recommending this place.
Fantastic experience: Outstanding gym
Fantastic experience: Great new gym. Would highly recommend!
Fantastic experience: Warm and friendly gym with lots of helpful staff and instructors.
Fantastic experience: Tom is a awesome lad keep up the great work
Fantastic experience: Really great atmosphere, friendly staff and enjoy training here
Fantastic experience: Fantastic facilities, great staff
Fantastic experience: Awesome gym, great facilities, management was really welcoming. Would recommend.
Fantastic experience: Outstanding staff and facilities! Would highly recommend to anyone in the area
Fantastic experience: The gym is fantastic! Top of the line facilities and amazing staff, especially Tom who is friendly and welcoming to new members. Highly recommend joining the Hybrid family
Fantastic experience: Just joined but very happy with the variety of machines and classes. Hot yoga is amazing.
Negative experience: Incomplete gym, I hope it improves over time but it seems to be getting worse. Some of the machines have already broken despite apparently only opening several months ago. There’s no WiFi or cellular reception in the bunker gym basement. The people who use the Padel courts scream and shout all the time which is extremely disruptive to gym users. The door to the men’s locker room is always covered with hand/sweat smears despite the cleaning board saying they were just cleaned. Matte Black painted doors weren’t the best choice. The cleaner also uses a selection of the kettle bells to prop the changing room doors open so use them at your own risk . Members have already started leaving weights all over the place, so disrespectful given it’s not even a busy gym. Gymsharks seem to be the most guilty of this, I thought they'd appreciate the extra pump from racking back the plates they loaded? No one supervises/cleans the gym floor and you can still see construction dust in higher up places. Weight machines are limited so you better know what you’re doing in the squat racks and with free weights. Theres never any hot water in the showers in the evenings, we're always given the same excuse that 'it was only just fixed' or 'I'll let management know'. There's never any hand soap in the sinks since opening and the squash court wall has already failed. Looks like it's just plasterboard which was painted over, slim chance of that ever lasting more than a year. I hope the gym management improves, he doesn't even bother checking the toilet cleaning schedules so slim chance. Apparently asking for his direct phone number is against GDPR rules, no idea how his PT clients manage to contact him then. I used to be a member at another branch. Ignore the fake reviews and reviews by their own personal trainers of their clients on here.
Positive experience: Really enjoying this new gym: 5 min walk from my flat, nice and modern with super friendly staff and hot yoga which is a huge bonus! Getting a place in a class can be tricky as people often book then no-show without cancelling but I know the team are ironing out the kinks - it’s only been open a month so it’s only going to improve
Fantastic experience: Such a cool space, loads of quality strength gear, Padel court is a bonus!
Fantastic experience: AMAZING gym with great equipment (still waiting for more machines to arrive), friendly trainers, open spaces to do your own exercises, challenging classes and coffee shop. The only thing is sticking to timelines - they said the new machines will arrive 2 weeks ago but still no sign.
Negative experience: We were very excited about this gym because of its location and ease of access. The gym has a great modern clean look which my partner and I love and a really cool boxing and yoga area but we are very disappointed at the lack of equipment and the rest of the gym in general. There are way too many squat racks which I feel have just been used as space fillers. There must be like 11-12 squat racks. There’s only 3 treadmills.Only 1 smith machine and 1 leg press. There’s are no benches to do chest presses. Only one lat pull down. There are also none of the following: leg curl &leg extension machines,ab/sit up bench’s, calf machines, abductor and adductor machines, hack squat machine, no matts, no easy barbells, no tricep dip machine and no area to stretch or do a floor workout. I feel like the squash court is a waste of space and could be used to accommodate more equipment. The food bar is really cool but they serve a lot of unhealthy options like doughnuts, cake and croissants, it’s not something I feel should be sold in a gym. The yoga studio is really nice an different but it could also be a waste of space considering it’s not used for yoga often. There’s really not much you can do In this gym and it really has so much potential to be a great gym. I’ve been to many gyms even out of the UK and this is probably the one that I would be most disappointed in. The worst part of it all is that they keep promising in emails that more equipment will be delivered and it still has not arrived. There is also no proper sign-in or access system so anyone can walk in and say they’re a member and they will let them use the gym. I really hope they improve the facilities or I’m afraid they will lose a lot of members. I think that the main problem is financial funding to fully stock this gym and they’re waiting for more members to join before they do. Update 29/08/2023- the gym has still not received any new equipment, there is no cellphone network or wifi, no proper sign-in at reception, aircons are not working properly or on extremely low so it gets extremely hot especially because there’s no ventilation. On the public holiday we went to the gym and we were told we had to leave in 10 minutes because they were closing at 17:00. We had not received any email notification, there was no update on closure times on the website or app. We were told that they put it up on boards outside which is ridiculous and useless for people who don’t live in the area or drive past the gym. We couldn’t even find the boards outside. I’ve been to much cheaper gyms who always sent email notifications for maintenance and closure dates and times as well as updating their app and website. It’s not hard to do. There are cheaper gyms that offer more in their training facilities. This is a very poorly managed gym that doesn’t seem to care about their members.
Fantastic experience: Very good gym Everything is brand new!
Fantastic experience: Brilliant multi fitness venue. Loads of different class options to go along with a squash and padel court (great bonus features). Split floors with a great area to relax/work upstairs. Staff are super friendly and helpful!!
Fantastic experience: Such a great gym and facilities. Especially loved my MIT. class with Mark.
Fantastic experience: very nice and clean gym, super friendly staff, specially the tall Portuguese guy Ivan, definitely recommend
Fantastic experience: I'm at new member here at Hybrid and i honestly don't have a bad word to say. Staff are great and the classes are fun. I participated in the P4P class with Tom and i would highly recommend.
Fantastic experience: One of the best gyms I have been to. The staff are super friendly and helpful, a great variety of classes and brand new equipment. The squash and padel court downstairs look amazing and I love the cafe on the first floor which offers great coffee, some delicious smoothies and drinks, as well as pastries. You can even get vegan pastries and bread!! Highly recommend!
Fantastic experience: Great new gym, friendly staff, big upgrade from my last gym and the price is fair too.
