Fantastic experience: Fantastic spa! I loved the Fire & Ice Room which I've never experienced. Beautiful spa experience. Very relaxing. Full spa garden with sauna as well. Beautiful club that's well maintained.

Positive experience: I would like to raise my concerns about sauna facilities on behalf of many visitors. In the recent weeks the Hydro pool outside has not been warm, this has been addressed many times and no change. The staff at this site says that it’s cold because temperature outside is cold, which does not make sense. When I signed up for this membership, there was not information that at winter time the pool can not be used, opposite it was sold to us that it’s great to be in this warm pool in winter. So, I would like to request clarification and explanation about this. Secondly, the jacuzzi inside the spa is over chlorinated… I spoke to other people and everyone struggles with the smell when laying in it. There is no appropriate ventilation? I need to lie with closed eyes so it won’t hurt it… could this be resolved? Is it safe to be the room where the smell of chlorine is soo strong? Overall, I enjoy the gym/classes, staff is great. I hope this feedback can be raised and the customers of David Lloyd’s heard. Thanks

Fantastic experience: The showaround by the sales rep allissha was very welcoming and informative. Facillities were class. Came on a trial and am now a platinum member. Cant wait to use them with my family in the future.

Negative experience: Second rate gym, terrible pool for lap swimming and scam contract practices. Very overpriced for what they provide for people who actually want to exercise and when you move away expect you pay their overpriced prices for 3 months. There are better gyms in the area at a far better price.

Fantastic experience: We are new members to DL Teesside. We had a visit and tour on Friday followed by a taster day today as part of the wellness weekend, so we could trial before we joined which was exactly what we needed. We had great service from Nikki and loved the Spirit class by Julie. Really looking forward to getting started!

Fantastic experience: I had a great experience at David Lloyd Teesside and it was all thanks to Molly. She was super helpful from the moment I walked in, gave me a quick tour and made the whole process of signing up so easy and stress-free. I had tons of questions (sorry), and she answered every single one and shared some great tips - really showing her in-depth knowledge of the club and spa. I’m so excited to start making the most of everything the club has to offer, the gym, swimming pool, and definitely unwinding in the spa. Molly is a real credit to the team - thanks so much again!

Negative experience: So disappointed! Upon calling this David Lloyd, the sales manager Alisha, someone lacking life experience, manners and was extremely rude to me regarding a potential membership I was inquiring about. I then made an official complaint, and that was basically ignored, by the general manager Mr Sylvester, that took a clear stance with his staff member, over the customer and as manager, you are meant to remain neutral at all times. Instead of making the negative situation better, they did quite the opposite! Very disappointed with David Lloyd with these type of standards. All I can say is, they put money and sales before customer service! So if you want quality, you won't find that here, especially with what you pay.

Our daughter loves all the "squads" had made friends and ran off her energy. I come on my days off and make the use of the heated pools and spa! Highly recommended.

Fantastic experience: Amazing food, I had a bacon cheese burger, it was perfect, apparently cooked buy a chef called Sean, all the staff were nice and helpful recommended perfect sides to go with my food ( mozzarella dippers) emily on the spa was amazing and the spa was second to none ams i was a member at rudding park, worth every penny

Negative experience: Cancelled membership after a week. Poor maintenance and cleaning.

Negative experience: Rubbish. Usual toddlers bedroom with equipment scattered everywhere and people just leaving stuff at their rear end rather than respect others by tiding up after themself. EDIT - reply says they’ll pass info on to club manager for action but this has been the case at DL for 6y or more. A platitudinous and non commital response. Unlikely to ever change.

Fantastic experience: I visted today and the customer service was outstanding. The reception staff were so helpful, and the girl that showed me and my friend around gave an exceptional service! I used the outdoor swimming pool and the amazing new spa facilities. It was exceptional.

Fantastic experience: Only went in for a meeting but it had alchy free beer on tap. Buzzin. No gym was used tho. No one wants to see me sweating on heavy machinery.

Negative experience: So not waste your money here. Got given a guest pass (thankfully not my own money). Went to the gym which was fine but then wanted to go for a swim after. Two lanes were given for lessons and 1 lane for general swimming. The lane was only big enough for one swimmer so waited 15mins for the person to leave. I swam one length and was told I couldn’t use the lane as there was another lesson on. Which means there were 0 lanes to swim in as the rest of the pool was open for kids to play in. Imagine paying all that money to be told you can’t swim. How does that work? Asked if I could go outside and was told no because it was dark. Are they dense? There’s lights in the outdoor pool and was completely free (this is at 6pm). So you spend all your money hoping to swim and you can’t because they overbook lessons and don’t let you swim outside, joke.

Negative experience: Barry Winter left a review that I totally agree with, David Lloyd have gotten greedy. There used to be a steam room, sauna and a really nice jacuzzi right next to the pool. Now you have to pay extra for these facilities. Such a bad decision by David Lloyd. Please reinstate the facilities that you removed.

Fantastic experience: The facilities at David Lloyd’s Teesside are perfect, there is something for everyone. Being a very active family it has something for us all and it has such a positive atmosphere. Big thank you to Nikki she was truly amazing. Nikki was very welcoming and professional when showing us the club facilities, she was able to answer all our questions, great personality. Our joining experience was a smooth process and we can’t wait to start new activities as a family.
