Fantastic experience: Anita was awesome. She took me for a tour and i loved the vibe!
Fantastic experience: I love how this gym makes me wanna go to the gym everytime. Happy to rejoin again Staffs are amazing!! Anita was very helpful and understanding, loved the woman
Fantastic experience: I love Gymbox Ealing! 10/10 trainers especially Boxing and Muay Thai. I’ve been a member for the last 4years and the staff is so warm and welcoming. Anita in particular was really nice helping me with the locker the other day. The changing rooms are always clean and all equipment is dust free. I’d recommend this gym to anyone.
Fantastic experience: I have been coming to Gymbox for quite a while now (since it opened in 2019) and I have always loved it. It has a broad variety of different activities and I can switch between Pilates/Yoga, boxing and functional classes depending on how I feel during the week. I also love that I can relax in the sauna after a tiring session. Particular mention to Anita, her smile and laughter is contagious and always put me in a good mood!
Negative experience: I was a Gymbox member for over a year in the Ealing gym, as well as Farringdon and Holborn. The only reason I stayed with this gym so long was because of convenience. It offers nothing over the cheaper gyms. The Farringdon gym is actually quite good but the Ealing one is way too small. You may be lured into their cool classes but good luck ever getting on one. I would set alarms to make sure I was there on the minute of it opening and still did not get a place. I complained multiple times about certain equipment being missing and it took 4 times of me asking for them to do anything about it. Unfortunately I had a severe ankle injury a few months ago so I immediately froze my membership for a few months. Now I am looking to move to a different area so asked to cancel my membership. They said they would not give me a physical refund for the first month of my ankle injury even though I gave them advance warning and did not enter the gym ("as per their terms and conditions"). I'm appalled that even though I gave letters from my consultant that they made me pay for a month I wasn't there, and the cost of a month is a lot, whilst I'm bed bound! Just shows they don't care about their members. Will not be going back.
Fantastic experience: Perfect gym for me - spacious, clean, with a great sense of inclusivity. Special thanks to the staff, such as Sofia and Ramadul for your very friendly assistance
Fantastic experience: Gymbox ealing provides exactly what you need to maintain fitness and build strength. The equipment and machines are perfect to use and the free classes are so fun and rewarding. I’d recommend this gym to anyone. The staff is extremely welcoming, particularly Sophia who was so kind and helpful in showing me around. 10/10 gym.
Fantastic experience: I tried most gyms in London I found Gymbox is best by far, extremely sophisticated with advance technical machinery. Sophia Abed was a great help, took her time to show me everything around, explain how it all works and answered all my questions. Really am impressed with Gymbox
Fantastic experience: Coolest gym I’ve ever had the pleasure of stepping foot in. From weights to kickboxing classes to live DJs conducting the gymgoers to push harder - it’s difficult to find a gym like this. Special shout out to George who is endless helpful and welcoming.
Fantastic experience: Love the gym! Lots of equipment and friendly staff to help out newcomers. George was super helpful!
Fantastic experience: I always have an amazing time working out here! Definitely recommend using these guys! George is one of my fave staff members!
Fantastic experience: George was really helpful and kind! Showed me around the gym and answered any queries I had
Fantastic experience: One of the staff members, George, is an absolute legend. He’s a credit to the gym. Big up George!
Fantastic experience: Love the space and team! Specially George who is always there to help and support me.
Fantastic experience: Spoke to a gentleman called gabriel . Very helpful and ensured i got the correct information.
Negative experience: Was told that there was a period over 14 days where you can cancel your contract (there was no mention of it from that receptionist that if you visit the gym for a second time after your initial tour that you cannot cancel within the 14 days). I had an episode on my second visit where I nearly fainted in the gym. I went to reception and was told to sit down at an area out of sight from reception, and not checked up on or offered water or any assistance whatsoever, feeling increasingly dizzy. So following this second visit, I've asked to cancel my membership. However, I've been told that I'm locked in until October 2025, having signed up in October 2024 - irrespective of what I've been through at the gym. I'm awaiting a response form gymbox but remain incredibly dissatisfied. I attribute the fainting to very loud music from a DJ which wasn't present on my first visit, and raw harsh lighting within the gym, as well as overcrowding and immense amounts of noise from the boxing ring and punching bags. I'm not visiting this gym again - avoid at all costs; not just because of my experience, but due to insane over crowdedness. I'd be happy to revoke my review if they honour the cancellation that I was misinformed about verbally from their staff.
Fantastic experience: Reception staff are always friendly and the changing rooms and showers are always clean. The towels they provide and hair dryers and GHDs are a nice touch. The gym floor is very minimalist and industrial with lots of concrete. A good range of machines and weight stations and classes. There are a LOT of stairs so not disability friendly. Membership is expensive, but they always have offers for new members.
Negative experience: I regret my decision to join GYMBOX. If you’re considering membership, be warned: unless you want to deal with debt collectors chasing you for hundreds of pounds above the amount you have to pay initially after canceling, look elsewhere. I would advise nobody to join this gym. The staff has been uncommunicative and rude when I tried to raise my concerns. I submitted three complaints explaining why I needed to cancel—due to relocating and the gym being so overcrowded that I could never access equipment—but I was completely ignored. I made several attempts to call and email, only to encounter a frustrating “computer says no” mentality. It’s clear that once they have your money, they don’t care about your situation. While the facilities are nice, the lack of customer support when dealing with membership issues is incredibly disappointing. I expected better from a gym of this caliber. Save yourself the hassle and choose a different gym!
Negative experience: THIEVES. They put their greed and desperation for money over the wellbeing of their members. They will throw all sorts of promotions at you and email and market to you hard but once they get your money and your contract then they treat you like trash and become rude and mean. I had Covid and informed them to adjust my membership start date by a few weeks so I had time to fully recover, and was told I should still come in or to get a doctor’s note from the NHS. We all know how it goes with the NHS. I couldn’t and still can’t believe how they treated me. It’s been an absolute nightmare. I ended up never going to use the membership because of the bad experience at the start, and now they are demanding I pay them a ton of money. Again, Thieves who only care about making money and not about the wellness of their members. I’m still a shock they were saying I can still come in. Like huh. It’s Covid. We all know how this goes. Perhaps they wanted me to come in so I can spread it, get people sick and reduce the capacity on their already overloaded equipments & classes. Just ridiculous!
Fantastic experience: Absolutely love the environment and vibe specially the best calisthenics equipment I have seen in a gym
Fantastic experience: Great Gym , if you are looking to join check with Sami (Sam) at Ealing branch ,great guy will give you best deals for you .professional will keep following for any later support ✌
Fantastic experience: Such a great Ealing gym, it's like a second home for me! Great range of equipment and friendly staff. And a special shout-out to Sophia and Rahim and all others in the team who twice a day do a fantastic job tidying up the gym floor. I wish all Gymbox gyms would do this! I also like the way they try to encourage members to put back weights and equipment after finishing with them.
Fantastic experience: Have been a member for a while - great classes especially wod hvy on Friday with Georgia was great
Fantastic experience: Met Sophia today and was excellent with her presentation of the gym Would highly recommend her to show you around
Negative experience: Cannot book classes as too many people overcrowded crammed gym floor and have to wait long times to use equipment
Fantastic experience: Gymbox Ealing is one of the best Gym's I have been to in London - the staff are super attentive, very genuine & friendly. Nice and easy sign up process - great value for what you get! It's a large open space with plenty of areas and doesn't usually get overcrowded in peak times.
Fantastic experience: I recently had the pleasure of visiting GYMBOX and was thoroughly impressed with both the facility and the customer service provided. The gym is well-equipped, clean, and offers a wide range of classes to suit all fitness levels. A special shout-out goes to Sami, who provided exceptional customer service. He was friendly, attentive, and went above and beyond to ensure I had a great experience. His knowledge and professionalism made a huge difference, making my visit to GYMBOX even more enjoyable. Highly recommended!
Fantastic experience: Signed up at Gymbox around 2 months ago with Raheem, answered all the questions I had and was super helpful. Loving it here. The classes are super motivating but fun too :)
Fantastic experience: Only reason I come to Ealing is to go to the Gymbox, staff are always so lovely and they have amazing instructors
Fantastic experience: Great gym, great vibes and even better people. The fitness spot to hit up if you’re in this part of West London!
Fantastic experience: A great gym! Fantastic facilities, amazing staff and a huge range of classes that I have not seen offered at any other gyms. Could not fault the place and so glad I signed up!
Negative experience: Staff here are uncooperative, make sure you don't take out a membership here as it isn't worth it, there are better gyms nearby.
Fantastic experience: Excellent facility, exactly what was expected. Staff were friendly and helpful. I happened to go on the day that England were playing football in a certain final. So there were a lot of people during the off peak hours. I get the feeling that the gym may be a bit cramped having only 4 squat racks and 3 platforms during peak hours in the main gym. If I were looking to buy a membership here, I'd be sure to have the multi gym membership so that if things are very busy in Ealing then Westfield Shepherds Bush would be accessible to me too. Overall, great facility, with all the equipment you could ask for.
Fantastic experience: The space at the Ealing Gym Box is brilliant. Everything you want and more from a gym. Fun and warming people to welcome you and help with any queries or just for a chat. Shout out to Sophia! Wow what can I say, super helpful kind and funny. Such a warm and lovely presence for the gym and to any workplace! Cant wait to spend some more time there!
Fantastic experience: I love Gymbox Ealing! Top notch trainers and management. A special thank you for Ciara Day, a GM, who helped me sorting out my issue immediately and put me in touch with the right team. Your communication is excellent, I really appreciate it. The space is clean and nicely organized, and I feel at home every time I attend the gym. I recommend Gymbox Ealing for everyone, you will be in good hands there!
Positive experience: Why is the music so loud in the female changing rooms? I constantly get a headache because it's so dangerously loud. Is there a need for there to be music in ladies changing room especially when trying to use the sauna and you want to relax without hearing the loud music. Can you please switch off the music in ladies changing room. There is no need for it and music should only be confined to gym floor.
Negative experience: Completely oversubscribed. It's a nice gym, however it's way too busy. Apart from the free weights, you have to wait to use any of the machines. You have to wait to use the benches. Classes are also extremely busy. You can book classes 2 days ahead starting at 10.00am. By 10.15 all classes are already fully booked. If you're planning to join, make sure you visit exactly at the time you usually train to see how busy it is. Weekdays between 18.00 and 20.00 and weekends between 10.00 and 12.00 are the worst.
Negative experience: I joined Gymbox about 9 months ago with high hopes, but it quickly turned into a nightmare. The gym itself is very nice, so the staff and other members. However, despite the hefty price tag, the gym is always overcrowded, making it nearly impossible to find a spot to train or even to stretch. Waiting in line for machines has become a regular occurrence. Evenings are a nightmare. Even booking a class feels like winning the lottery, with slots disappearing in seconds. I have been in cheaper gyms and never experienced such a chaos. It is not worth the investment.
Negative experience: I joined gymbox when it first opened back in 2019, I thought that it was the best premium club in Ealing, now in 2024 the club has really down graded for what you pay for. You can’t get on any equipment in the evening as it’s taken over by powerlifters don’t bother going after 5pm, they need to put a limit especially peak times.. Also they have recruited some bad PT in the last year or so and have seen how they train there clients, which is appaling I think they need to go back and check there qualifications… The vibe in the Ealing gym is not as what it used to be…
Fantastic experience: Great gym, its worth its weight in gold, classes are the best - you get good value for your money, members are lovely. Shout out to Danny in the membership team (wonderful and genuine person) and instructor Zoe McNulty (absolutely fabulous teacher in every regard & top human being). Feedback to Gymbox - please reintroduce class etiquette as lots of people are on their phones whilst in a live class which is distracting.
Negative experience: Overall the gym is really good. I love the classes and the instructors, the changing room is clean, sauna is definitely a good plus and the staff is nice. However, this gym lacks of flexibility for its members, especially considering how expensive it is. I signed up for a 1 year membership with 1 free PT session in the first month. For personal reasons, I couldn't do the PT session in that first month, so I reached out to the customer service to do it later. This has been denied and also my personal reasons for not being able to do the session have been questioned. It's not clear why the free PT session can be done in the first month only if you are on a yearly contract. A shame because I don't think I'll renew the contract next year and I'll also go to an external PT. Doesn't seem smart customer service to me. I would expect a bit more flexibility considering how expensive this gym is.
Thank you for reaching out Brunella, we dropped you a reply via email on the 19th March. So really hope that we got it all sorted out with a new PT. Please reach out to the General Manager via [email protected] and we will be sure to rectify this experience. Thank you, Gymbox Team.
Fantastic experience: Amazing gym, very well maintained with a great range of equipments and a huge variety of classes: from indoor cycling, to functional, aerial, yoga and Pilates.
Thank you Remy. Can't wait to see you back in the club soon. Appreciate the stars.
Negative experience: I've been going to this gym for over a year and to say it's disappointing is a bit of an understatement. The gym itself is great, the equipment is very good, but there's not a lot to go around. There's also not a lot of floor and track space at the gym which is where the biggest issue lays. If you're not doing a gym class you're a second rate gym goer apparently, which has been made abundantly clear multiple times. Sharing with other gymgoers is of course part of going to a gym, and I have no issue with the busyness of the gym. However... Class instructors have the use of studios in the gym to run their classes but regularly take up over half the only track space (that's a major part of the workout area) as well. This morning's class instructor has taken up the track space for 2 consecutive classes from 6am - 8am, kicking off other gym goers who are just trying to find a space to work out in the cramped gym. It's ridiculous that classes can take priority during the busiest times of the day, forcing everyone else (the majority of the gym) to squish into smaller spaces only for the class to use the additional space for 10 minutes of the hour. It's also unwelcoming if you're someone who's not always comfortable (or newer) in a gym, like me. This is a recurring problem that keeps happening. I've tried politely talking to the gym about it, but the message doesn't seem to get passed on to any of the class instructors. For the money you pay to go to this gym, it's really not worth it. It's an expensive gym and its service and amenability should reflect that. Which is a shame, because there's a lot to love about it.
Thank you Hannah for you feedback, we truly appreciate it. Although we would prefer you to be enjoying our club more of course. We have escalated this feedback to our studio team to understand what class require the track fully. Of course the track is phenomenal to add to a class workout, enabling tyre flips or farmer walks. But we also want to ensure our non-class goes are looked after too. So we have minimised this and added dividers for 1/3 of the track in busy times and 2/3 in quieter/off peak times. Hopefully you'll have benefited of the full track lately. However our door and inbox is always open, and our General Manager along with the Studio Manager would love your latest feedback on amendments. Thank you, Gymbox.
Fantastic experience: I was initially looking to join just for the gym. If you’ve just moved to the area don’t waste your time looking for anything remotely close to a GYMBOX because it doesn’t exist. Best in west for sure. I absolutely love Gymbox. They have completely flipped my perspective on what to expect from your Gym membership. I never use to be into classes but now I’m able to do a question mark kick in Muay Thai and lift like an Olympian (okay the lift like an Olympian was a stretch but I’m almost there…ish) I love the unique classes they design them selves. Game changer! Thank you to Danny and the team at Gymbox Ealing!
Abdullateef, you're our hero. A question mark kick is remarkable, and we see you as the Olympian that you are. Keep up the incredible work in the ring and on the Olympic platforms. Proud of you. Many thanks, Gymbox.
Fantastic experience: Danny Ealing Gymbox Ealing Gymbox a sense community So grateful to have such an extensive Gym in Ealing! Great stuff by the team. No great gym would be quiet and empty during peak times. If that’s what you’re looking for set up a home gym Love the gym and the aesthetic! Who would want to go to an empty club?! Boringggggg The DJ is a big bonus during peak times
I think you get our vibe Donald, thank you kindly for the feedback. We cherish our community spirit in our club. All led by the wonderful Danny and team, and will be sure to pass on the praise. Thank you, Gymbox team
Fantastic experience: Best gym in a 2 mile radius, and only because there’s another GYMBOX. the pt there named Lorenzo… bang on best PT I’ve ever seen. Highly recommend. Ironically same first and last name.
2 mile radius? We reckon further. Thank you for your feedback about Enzo our PT. He is a super star, so we will give him the 6th star.
Fantastic experience: Found this gym through some friends that highly recommend it, met Danny and he showed me around the gym he was great went into a lot of detail and spent the time with me to answer all my questions. All staff are amazing and the gym is good. I would recommend it to my friends and family
We love this feedback Salman, Danny is a credit to our team and delighted he looked after you so well. Each one of those stars are received with appreciation. Many thanks, Gymbox.
Fantastic experience: I have been a member of the gym now for the last few months and have to say it’s been a great experience; all the staff are very friendly and approachable, equipment always very clean and organised. Danny in particular who helped set me up as a member is an asset to the team there as he has always been available to any queries I may have. Very happy customer!
Thank you Zahed, we are buzzing to read this. Danny is our super star, will pass on the feedback. See you in the club soon, Gymbox.
Fantastic experience: I love this gym! The gym looks great and has amazing staff!! Danny from the sales team is amazing and always ready to help with anything! To be fair the whole team remembers who you are and give you the personal touch you need! Amazing team and amazing facilities! Never going anywhere else!
Payam, we love to read this and will pass it on to the team. They love to look after anyone walking through our doors. We appreciate those 5 stars. There's no coincidence that DANNY has 5 Stars in his name. See you in the club, Gymbox.
Fantastic experience: Danny was my first point of contact upon enquiry, and I haven’t ever met a more knowledgable individual. Punctual and thorough, he showed me the gym and all the benefits in a perfect manner. I was super impressed with the facilities, equipment and classes available at GymBox and Danny answered all my questions clearly and ran me through the available subscription offers making me feel welcomed and part of the community. Would definitely recommend!
Thank you Kush, this is how we value Danny. Our legend. Great to get this feedback, to back up our thoughts and opinions. Thank you, Gymbox.
Negative experience: For £140, this is the worst gym possible. 1. It's a basement, and you'll be working out in a basement without light. 2. For some reason, GYMBOX thinks people like to exercise in the dark, so you'll be working out in a dark basement. 3. Lack of equipment. There was just one upper pull machine and today I was 6th in line. 4. No weights for the barbell. I was 2nd in line for plates. 5. Phone signal is poor, which might be a plus, but not in a basement. 6. Boxing training takes place in the ring. And there are simultaneously 15 people in the ring, so you will have no space at all. 7. Then they start group sessions in the basement, and 1/3 of the gym is closed off for group classes, 2/3 of the gym is reserved for boxers and such, leaving you and 50+ people crammed into the remaining space. Also, right after the first workout, I immediately said that I'm cancelling my membership. Naturally, they directed me to the head office, which is open until 5 PM. So, I will inform you about the outcome of my ordeal tomorrow.
Hi Alex, thank you for taking your time to give us this feedback. This is not the experience we expect our new members to face. We would be happy to give you another tour to show you the additional equipment that you may be looking for. We can also go through membership rates again, as I think there may be some confusion here too. Regarding the classes, they are undertaken in the designated 3 studios. However we sometimes style out a strength class to use 5/10 metres of the track so the can tyre flip or push our prowler. Drop us an email on [email protected] if you want to get the above arranged. Thanks again, Gymbox Team
Fantastic experience: Rabia M was my point of contact from my first enquiry to the gym. She was very friendly and super helpful. Very prompt with emails for any questions I had in between my tour and signing up. Done my first class on Monday which is all positive so far.
Thank you so much for your review, we're so glad you are loving our club. I will be sure to pass on the feedback to Rabia. See you in the club :-)
Negative experience: Possibly the worst customer service and the worst gym for the amount that they charge. Below is what my experience has been and I would advise you TO PLEASE NOT EVEN THINK ABOUT JOINING THIS GYM. It's run by fraudsters. 1. Gym staff is full of people who lie and steal your hard earned money in broad day light: I booked a visit to the gym, and had my apprehensions about subscribing to it since its quiet far from where I live. The staff memeber(Moe) who was showing me around and was telling me about the membership options, confirmed that I can try the gym for a month and then cancel if I don't like it or if the distance becomes to be an issue. Cut to me trying to cancel it by giving a 30 day notice and they holding me at ransom and asking me to pay up atleast 300 pounds. The person who made me join the gym gave me wrong information because he was looking to close his month end targets, and the gym support team completely refuses to help. 2. GYM CLASSES ARE A SCAM: The gum class booking window opens at 10:00:00 am, and at 10:00:01 am milisecond, every class worth attending is already full, in a milisecond. 3. The weight training floor, Don't even think about it. Atleast 10 minute waiting time for each machine, and no place to walk or stand. The area is badly designed, and the use of the space is not optimal at all. 4. Support team: Possibly the worst support team I have ever had to deal with. They take 5 days to reply, and leave your issues unresolved and just vanish. They are a joke. 5. Classes are managed poorly. Number of times there isn't enough equipment for everyone in the class. All in all, save your self the trouble and save your hard earned money, and stay as far away as you can from this shame of a place
Hi Rahul, this is not the feedback that we want from our new members. Would love a chance to go through your points when you are in club next. Please ask for any of the management team when you have time next visit at reception.
Negative experience: Staff and classes are great but this gym is so small. I've been here for half a year and it's a pain to have to wait for machines or wonder around to find anything else that is free. Peak time is simply horrible. There's clearly no sign up quota (why would there be?) But I'm considering leaving, especially as there is only one of each weight machines due to the tight space. It's a real shame, the amount they charge for membership should entitle any member to go in when they want - and do what they want. Instead, you have to either sign up to a class which is unlikely to have space or do random machines when they become free. I was told they are moving around the machines so decided to keep my membership but so far no sign of improvement.
Thank you for your feedback Sofia, we appreciate the good, the bad and the ugly. However we want to minimise the latter. We can read through the lines that you are one of our fans, and want to get you back to that feeling of enjoying your workouts. Would you be so kind to reach out to the General Manager to discuss the above. We truly want you to fall back in love with us.
Fantastic experience: Amazing gym and quality of people is top notch. Could you please add another cable machine and a lateral raise machine ? Thanks S
Thank you for your feedback and 5 stars. We will pass on your requests regarding additional kit for our next refurb for Ealing.
Fantastic experience: Amazing gym! The wide range of classes is exceptional, I particularly enjoy the mental health classes because it’s just as important to take care of your mental health as it is to take care of your physical health. And this is something GYMBOX Ealing gets right. The facilities are also great with a lovely sauna and great showers where everything is always clean and sanitised regularly. The reception team make this gym! Always having a big smile and being so welcoming and helpful with everything you need. Anna on reception has helped me many times and is an asset to the team. 5 stars from me.
Thank you Sammie, loving the feedback. Anna is one of our stars, and delighted to launch our new Mind Category of classes. It's not all about fitness of the body. See you in club soon.
Fantastic experience: If you’re looking to join GYMBOX and learn how to train in Muay Thai speak to Coach Samir! He’s the best teacher and the best human. Such a great guy!
Thank you Katie, we love Samir too. Appreciate the 5 stars.
Fantastic experience: I have been coming to this Gymbox for over a year, and alongside my own training have been training with one of the Muay Thai coaches, Samir. He has been an amazing coach, blending sessions on technique with conditioning and always working on explaining errors and supporting improvement. The development of my technique and resilience is as a direct result of his coaching and if you have any interest in combat sports, I would absolutely recommend him. It’s been a hugely positive experience!
Daniel, this is great feedback. And Samir is a super star. We'll pass on the positive teaching points he offers. Thank you.
Fantastic experience: I am thrilled to share my positive experience at GymBox Ealing, where Marika Cena serves as my outstanding personal trainer. Marika's dedication and expertise have transformed my fitness journey - I’m now in the best shape of my life! The GymBox facilities offer top-notch equipment, a motivating atmosphere, and Marika's personalized approach makes every session truly effective. I highly recommend GymBox Ealing, especially with Marika Cena for those seeking a results-driven and enjoyable fitness experience! In addition, they have some fantastic classes - but they are very popular, so you have to set an alarm to book them the second they’re available. In particular, I love Bike & Beats with Gabbie Harris and Escalate with Sam Barrett - high energy and great fun!
Thank you Matthew, amazing feedback. Will pass on the love to all mentioned. We are blessed to have such talented team. See you in club soon. Thank you
Fantastic experience: Nice gym with very good Coach / PT Big thank you to the Boxing and Muay Thai coach. A special thank you to Samir. Contact him for a session.
Thank you Jonathan, great feedback about our coach Samir. Appreciate it.
Positive experience: I was reluctant in joining after seeing so many different reviews. But I joined under a really attractive offer during Black Friday and I am loving it. This the cleanest gym I have ever been to in the UK. The equipment are super new and well maintained unlike the other Gymbox branches. The shower products smells great. I wish there’s some basic amenities like face cream/ body lotion. It really depends which kind of gym goer you are. I’m a freelancer who loves different classes. I don’t mind getting up at 10am and book the classes. I am not particular with the classes just book whatever works around my schedule. If you only use the gym equipment you have cheaper alternative options. So far only tried aerial pilates, muay thai, spin, paddleboard yoga and reppin’. They are all great! Aerial classes are so expensive elsewhere.Keen to try more classes!
Appreciate the feedback. Love to see members enjoying a variation of our classes. keep us posted on what class is next. Thank you and see you in the club soon.
Fantastic experience: The gym is an entire vibe! The staff and class instructors are friendly, the spin classes and workouts are fire, and everything about this gym is amazing
Fantastic experience: This is a review for my personal training sessions with Kasia at Gymbox Ealing. I have been training with Kasia for over four months. I have achieved results that I am looking for and feel stronger and fitter, have changed body shape and lost weight. I work out with Kasia twice a week 30 minutes each session. Kasia knows how hard to push me in a firm but gentle way so I am not slacking (as I have a tendency to not push myself when I train myself) and shares advice in all areas of well being such as nutrition. As I get bored easily while working out, each session with Kasia is a different workout and we use the equipment available in the gym. I also can maintain a workout regime while I have been away as Kasia can manage to train through a remote session just as hard as she can in the gym. Communication is frequent and organisation of the training is done easily in a weekly basis. Thank you Kasia for being a great coach.
Fantastic experience: Gymbox has a great range of classes. I really enjoyed Antoinette Gibson's pilates and aerial pilates classes which are fun, challenging and relaxing all at the same time! Antoinette is a very professional and talented instructor.
Negative experience: I have to be honest I was quite disappointed with my experience at GymBox. I asked to sign up for single month to try the gym out and see if it would work for me with my work schedule - this was fine with the person that completed my introduction. I specifically said that I would initiate further membership payments after I had completed a few months abroad which again I was told was absolutely fine from my gym induction. However it was apparent that this wasn’t the case and Gymbox continued my DD as I was out the country after I had specifically communicated about this numerous times. It then took some time to initiate a ‘freeze’ on my account due to my contact being out of office and the person who took over my enquiry having no idea about my previous conversations with Gymbox. The communication from the GymBox brand is borderline harassment, I enquired a couple of months prior to my final sign up - constant emails, phone calls and texts from different numbers. It was the same for someone I brought in as a guest - constant emails about offers to join and being called continually. I was told that signing up that if I did so today they could scrap the joining fee and give me loads of other perks. It just felt like tactics to get a membership sign up no matter what. I visited the gym twice and wasn’t too impressed with the layout or the quality considering the very high monthly price. It was also constantly packed out in ‘off peak’ times. In the end this cost me 2 months worth of membership and a couple of ‘frozen’ months before finally getting through to the team to cancel my membership entirely. The team are nice and friendly however they’re only good with communication if you’re looking to buy a service or membership. A real shame because Gymbox looked promising but definitely was not the right fit and I did not have a good experience with the communication.
Negative experience: I have to admit, I was initially excited to join Gymbox considering its reputation, but my experience thus far has been notably underwhelming, especially for a steep £130 a month! First off, the equipment—or the lack thereof. There’s always a wait for the benches because there simply aren't enough of them. And trying to find clips for the bars is like a workout itself. With such a high membership fee, I expected better availability and variety in equipment. Then there's the sole cross cable machine - a crucial piece for any chest day. It’s perpetually occupied, and without alternatives, my workouts often get compromised. You’d think a gym charging premium rates would ensure multiple options for essential workout stations, but alas. The overall layout is another sore point. So much space goes unused or is mismanaged, it’s quite astounding. The wasted space could easily accommodate additional machines and benches to alleviate the wait times and improve the overall flow during busy hours. Now, let’s talk about safety and cleanliness. Staff mopping during peak hours? It’s an absolute hazard trying to navigate around the gym with weights in hand and a wet floor underfoot. I appreciate the cleanliness, but surely there’s a better time for that. Navigating through the corridors to the changing room feels like a game of bumper cars. They’re so narrow that it’s impossible not to bump into someone every time you go around a corner. It’s not only annoying but also a bit of a safety concern. In conclusion, I'm pretty disheartened by my experience with Gymbox. The incongruities between the price point and the actual services and facilities provided are simply too glaring to ignore. I signed up expecting a premium gym experience but found myself in what is quickly resembling a budget gym environment. I hope management takes note because at this rate, it’s hard to justify continuing my membership.
Negative experience: Don’t sign up for classes as they are always full. If you get on their waiting list people drops on a last minute which automatically gets you in and you get charged just for not even being notified. I have also cancelled with plenty of time in advance but they still overcharged me for an extra month and they never heard to my complaints and made me pay the extra month sending this amount to a collections office who added more charges like this is my fault. Never again.
Fantastic experience: I’m super happy to be a part of gymbox family. Finally, I’m in a place where I can find inspiration and keep myself motivated by watching others grow and learn about fitness even more. If you are a person with passion for fitness and looking for more challenges I’m sure you can find it here! People are lovely and very helpful which makes your workout even more enjoyable
Fantastic experience: Joined boxgym couple of weeks ago. Main goal was to get a PT who can help me out with the whole well-being, I certainly bagged the best one. Kasia’s sessions are just great. Her care, motivation and drive shines through. She make me the happiest when I leave her session. Not so comfortable to be in the gym on my own yet, but she is working on it! Let’s not forget about warm welcome from Thio. I defo would recommend GYMBOX. Let’s not forget gym is well equipped and very clean.
Fantastic experience: great gym and staff are lovely :)
Negative experience: The gym is packed and classes are very hard to join unless you sign up within 15 minutes of the classes being posted. They also like to sign you up on six month contract and do not make it obvious that its a rolling contract. Thank you for the over draft!
Fantastic experience: I encountered difficulties while attempting to freeze my membership, but thanks to Amelia's effort and excellent communication, my issue was resolved promptly and efficiently. Amazing services by Amelia
Negative experience: Was on a 3 month trial membership of £110 per month and was going to cancel, then enquired about 12 month rates. The staff told me to speak to head office who never replied back to my emails and don't have a direct number. I asked again the front desk and they said that I should pay the £110 per month which is outrageous. Overall the experience was poor, classes are hard to book and not a good vibe.
Positive experience: Overall the gym is a good one. My workouts are primarily focused on resistance exercise so I cannot comment on the classes, cardio or boxing elements. Pros: - High quality equipment both weights and machines - Large assortment of free weights, dumbbells up to 60kg - Clean - Decent sized changing area Cons: - It can get very busy at peak times (but most London gyms have this issue) - It's a bit too warm (stop cheaping out on the AC guys!) - Space is used inefficiently, and it can feel claustrophobic - the large boxing ring doesn't help with this - Too many insta wannabes filming themselves. I want to train without having to run the gauntlet of cameras on tripods (I guess this is modern affliction and Gymbox does attract it's fair share of narcissists) - I imagine they'll make it difficult to leave (this was my previous experience when I was a member years ago)
Fantastic experience: By far the best gym I’ve ever joined! All the instructors are amazing and super attentive a class basically feels like a pt session every time! Couldn’t recommend it more
Fantastic experience: I love Gymbox Ealing! Lots of space, very wide range of equipment and creative classes (although there’s often waiting lists for some of these so you need to be quick) Also the lighting in the gym is perfect haha makes you feel great about yourself
Positive experience: Lovely place to workout. Great staff. Not as much benches or equipment compared to the other branches but that's only during the peak hours. Would defo recommend.
Negative experience: As a new resident to Ealing, I’m gutted I joined gymbox. Yet alone being the worst value for money gym I’ve ever joined, it’s one of the worst gyms. For the £100+ per month you get an overcrowded gym with poor facilities relative to the price, and it’s so warm it’s unbearable. The classes are never available, and the room where the classes take place is the only decent room in the building (which means it’s never free). Finally, The front staff have only been friendly when they think they can get another sale (I must say the cleaning staff are very friendly). I wish someone had put this review before I joined, but hopefully this helps someone avoid making the same mistake.
Negative experience: Nice gym Inspiring premises Not very easy to book Fun classes Some teachers are amazing, Other teachers are amongst the worst. Not specialized, prone to injury, not using props not trained to give alternative options. Friendly staff
Fantastic experience: Rabeya was the employee that welcomed me and helped me with my membership, i had let her know about why i wanted to start the gym and my anxieties and worries when it came to starting a new place, she was so welcoming and showed me around and explained everything so well, it's people like her who make starting new places easier for people like me! Thank you Rabeya and i can't wait to start!
Fantastic experience: I love this gym. Everyone so friendly but also let you do your thing! Theo is soooo amazing and always hypes me to actually do my sessions! If you are looking for good vibes gym just come GYMBOX Ealing
Fantastic experience: Always wonderful costumer service. The lady on reception, Amelia, is always smiley and helpful. I struggle with technology and she helped my book a class via the app. Very lovely
Fantastic experience: A fantastic gym- staff are absolutely brilliant and the classes on offer are just amazing! Love it and would recommend
Fantastic experience: I'm a PT at Gymbox so get to see all aspects of the gym and clients. Equipment is excellent and always kept in good working order plus there is plenty of it so I'm never stuck waiting. Great team and inclusive, friendly atmosphere. Shout out to the cleaning crew who keep it spotless!
Positive experience: Attended the gym box for the week. Very well equipped gym, very kind staff. Also attended the classes and they were really good. Bathroom is also good and clean. With towels and a sauna. Downside is it’s very busy so you have to be mindful of the time you go. Otherwise everything is good
Fantastic experience: I've been a member for 3 years and Zoe's bike and beat classes are by far the best spin classes I've been to. Her choreography is first class, her music is great and she focuses on technique throughout the class. Highly motivational class and the best spin classes at gymbox.
