Fantastic experience: Awesome gym! Jo the owner is amazing,, showed me the ropes when I first joined and then helped my wife get back in to the gym, supported and helped her when she joined. Always have a laugh there but if you have no manners, respect or can’t have a laugh then probably not the place for you.

Fantastic experience: Fantastic gym, owner is extremely helpful, there is a huge range of equipment and weights, as well as a great choice of cardio machines. Also no contract and reasonably priced, love coming here.

Negative experience: Great kit, top level quality eg nautilus equipment. However the front of house staff / owner was downright disgusting in his behaviour towards me as a lying day pass member. Spoke to me as if I was brain dead and turned his nose up after he asked me where I was from. Would recommend the kit however you can’t train to failure as it’s too noisy for you to breathe mid set allegedly. If you’re in Sheffield either go to muscle fusion or UF Rotherham for a session

Negative experience: This gym has loads of great equipment. Small cardio section. Lots of free weights and machines. We'll spread out and a good price of admission. But don't even think about moaning or groaning while working out and especially dont make any noise when lowering the weights back to the start position or rack. The old man will get a hard on and come and have a go at you! I got moaned at by him and felt like I was back in primary school about the get the cane off the head master. I even apologised but he kept going on with himself. I wasn't even letting the weights go down hard, just to noisy for him. Its a gym for god sake. It's expected that there is some noise and who trains as quiet as a mouse...

Fantastic experience: Wasn't sure what to expect after leaving JD but have been training here for 4 weeks now and love the choice of equipment and the atmosphere.

Fantastic experience: Been coming here 3 years and there is amazing kit in every area of the gym. The owners run a tight ship about returning you're dumbells/plates when finished and not smashing up the equipment but this results in a clean gym with no 'out of order' signs in sight ever.

Negative experience: nice gym with professional equipment. the service is unhelpful towards immigrants during training, it is forbidden to motivate oneself loudly I put down the barbell when pressing on the chest, twice I was warned that again I am taking the bar back too loud and I will stay I have to leave the gym I do not recommend this gym

Fantastic experience: I was very worried and nervous entering a weight gym on my own jo and kev are just brilliant. Always made me feel welcome and at home and I love the place built confidence because of it.

Negative experience: I to call in to the gym to enquire about membership a few months ago, and I have too agree with the negative comments regarding the people behind the counter, rude is an understatement to describe them, clearly they don’t like people of colour as I’m a black guy and was with my partner who is white and she agreed with my observations, it’s 2022 and they are supposed to be providing a service but it look to me that it’s only for the chosen few. Fantastic experience: Excellent gym, I’ve been to gyms all over the world and this I definitely one of the best. Lots of equipment that you wont find in other gyms and lots of knowledge about fitness and the fitness world. Members are respectful to other and new members and to the equipment weights always get put back and never dropped. Good gym humour a really good and effective place to train

Negative experience: An ignorant and unbelievably arrogant person works their. Absolutely disrespectful behaviour. It's not a surprise why there were up to 10 people at 5PM, when I and my friend went to ask for some information regarding how to sign up, conditions and prices. The only answer which somehow he managed to produce - twice was "better stay where are you at" (JD). Mr Smallest Ego with a weight which is a fraction of his huge pity lack of complexity. Ever. Better start to develop some "man" behaviour and tell your clients the things directly instead giving them advices to stay away, kitty xenophobic boy. ---- REPLY TO THE REPLY: Thank you, you have found a time to reply to me after 1 year. Your memory should be like an elephant's one. The bad thing is that your reply doesn't cost a penny, since it is not even close to the truth. We have NEVER been rude! NEVER! The ONLY question we asked was: How can we join and what are the conditions? I don't care for Joanne or whatever's called. You are IGNORANT AND XENOPHOBIC. Smallest ego owner I have ever met in the city. If someone wants to experience the poorest reception experience in the whole UK it must come to you and then leave. Bye!

Negative experience: There was a sign on the main road (Halifax Road) advertising the gym. I went there to check their equipment and fees. The receptionist (the owner probably) told me they are not looking for new members and to stay with my current gym. I hope the problem was not that I'm a foreigner and I speak English with an accent. I can't believe how rude this guy was.

Fantastic experience: If you want a gym that is focusing around lifting weights, you need not look any further. It has every piece of equipment you could want and has so much variety for each and every body part. Truly a fantastic lifting gym for individuals who are there to work and not just pose for Instagram! They have created a top class facility.

Fantastic experience: I've trained at gyms all across the world and I have to say that Muscle Performance is in my favourite gym of all time. The gym set up, cleanliness, the brilliant bespoke equipment, nutrition products, great service (plenty of banter) and the incredible knowledge of the owners from training, supplements, diets and winning trophies, is just world class. If you want to be the best in the UK, there's only one place to train - it's in Sheffield! Well done to the team who run this!

Negative experience: Trained at all the independent gyms across Sheffield but was always hesitant to train here due to the rep this place has in regards to the people who own it. This is a fantastic facility no doubt but the attitude of the owners absolutely stinks. Theres a reason such a great facility is so quiet. The guy behind the counter needs to learn some basic manners and customer service skills; too busy trying to impose his authority and will on people. Some great facilities in the local area such as Ultraflex, Muscle Fusion, Muscle Madness and Titanium which are also brilliantly equipped and are ran by great, genuine people. Would recommend them over this place any day. Dont believe in writing poor reviews but its warranted with this place.

Fantastic experience: Literally the nicest gym I've been to. After visiting numerous gyms for prices and opening times I wasn't given any time whatsoever just directed to the door where the prices and times were. I then came across muscle performance and spoke with the owner Jo who was extremely helpful and welcoming. She asked numerous questions to what I wanted to get out of the gym including what I eat and how to get the best out of my workout. If you look up customer service surely there's a picture of Jo! I wouldn't hesitate in recommending this gym and Jo if you are looking for a great friendly place to train with a knowledgeable ethical person who clearly is interested in you and not profits. Highly recommended
