Fantastic experience: Enthusiastic instructors (Maddy doing body pump and balance is amazing). Aqua sessions are great, pool is nice in the evenings when there's no children so you can swim uninterrupted. If I had kids it would be great for them with the slides and toddler's water play area which is what you want especially if you're on holiday. The restaurant bar just around the corner is really nice and reasonably priced. The only negative I find is that some of the younger male lifeguards can have a bit of an attitude sometimes and lack tactful people skills.

Positive experience: Its ok, it was an average Sunday roast carvery experience. There are better but it meant driving along a long way.

Negative experience: Booked a swim session, only to turn up and be told that it's only available for holiday makers! Why let us book if it's not available?

Fantastic experience: Took the kids for a taster fencing session and they loved it!! Gym and studios are in the new complex so are great facilities. Instructor was great, wonderfully enthusiastic and kept the kids engaged throughout.

Positive experience: Swimming pool is very shallow so adults can't really swim properly, has slides and an excellent kids area, buy cost over £40 for 5 of us! Ridiculously expensive

Positive experience: Very nice holiday park, nice location and nicely appointed. Don't care for the fitness part in the title, if I had a unit there would not be using these facilities - gym, pool etc not for me lol!

Fantastic experience: Everything you need

Positive experience: Finlake have invested a lot of money in their new gym, and it is a big improvement on the previous one. What's good is that the equipment is high quality, and there is plenty of it. The gym is light, airy, and a good temperature. The two studios are well equipped and the classes are good. The pool is good for kids, although not great for length swimmers, although I suspect the kids water play will be very crowded in peak season. What isn't as good is that there is only very limited mat space for free movement exercise, so very likely limited if you want to do things like Swiss ball. The changing rooms are OK, if a bit spartan, but no shower gel which you normally get when you're paying this much. It is premium priced, and the equipment delivers, but some of the small touches aren't quite there.

Negative experience: PROS Lovely new build swimming pool and facilities. CONS The price £28 for 1 adult and 2 children for a couple hours swimming. Come on guys seriously

Positive experience: Will be nice when it's finished. Building work on the new pool complex ongoing till end of summer (2017) which affects the tranquility and visual impact of a part of the site. Not cheap and limited evening entertainment. Some Lodges are wood clad caravans but comfortable and well equipped. Hot tub was lovely but not entirely un-overlooked.

Positive experience: Nice lodges, with friendly staff. Unfortunately the wifi speeds were capped to a dialup speed of 0.5 m/s

Positive experience: Nice club but needs a little more tlc as the showers we dirty. Saying that a new club and leasure centre is being built now.

Positive experience: 5th time here I've enjoyed every other time but this time not so much the decking to our lodge was slime slimey covered with leaves quite treacherous 10 min pressure washer would have resolved this issue staff were mostly helpful a few not so, come on finlake sort it out! A quick inspection with the view you are staying here might help, how would you like to find your lodge? What would you improve?

Positive experience: Enjoying all the site has to offer. High wires were a big hit with the children and adults. Site is clean and tidy. Staff are friendly and helpful.

Fantastic experience: Fantastic place to either relax or be active. set in picturesque surroundings and central to Exeter and popular coastal resorts.

Fantastic experience: stayed here in November . Had a fantastic time stayed in a caravan that had a hot tub perfect on a chilly night. Good shop on sight very friendly staff. Some good restaurants near by. Would come again for a winter break
