Our gym is known for its excellent value for money and impressive facilities, including a broad selection of equipment, from cardio to strength training, ensuring there's something for everyone. Many members appreciate our 24/7 accessibility, allowing workouts at any time, though we recommend visiting during off-peak hours for a more comfortable experience.
Our gym has been highlighted as clean and well-maintained, with professional and friendly staff who are always ready to assist. Patrons have praised the welcoming atmosphere, noting that it's a great place for beginners and experienced gym-goers alike. Additionally, we offer a variety of classes designed to enhance your fitness journey.
However, feedback indicates some concerns regarding the busy times, particularly between 5 and 7 PM, when equipment can be hard to access. Negative experience: Been going here for years, but has gone downhill like crazy. Will be going somewhere else I think, the new assistant manager is petty about anything and everything. No wonder a lot of people have left recently and gone to JD across the road. Might have to do the same

Fantastic experience: By far the best gym I’ve used in chesterfield, friendly atmosphere, very helpful staff, great equipment available! Personally use Cam as a PT who works here, 2 sessions a week and cannot recommend enough!

Negative experience: No staff what so ever sometimes your pin don’t work the jangaw water is not worth getting it !! I emailed the manager about access and I havnt got a response yet it’s been 3 months I’ve now cancelled my membership

Fantastic experience: I’ve been going for years but recently left for a month and tried the Nuffield near by. Even a month was to long there. It is infinitely better at Gymgroup, Lots of equipment, kept clean and tidy. Could do with a few more benches but over all the best gym in the area.

Fantastic experience: Been going to this gym for a good few years now, good selection of cardio equipment, alright free weights. Would like another bench press maybe but you can setup your own on a squat rack. Very good price for what you get and it’s open 24 hours unlike most gyms in the area so you can go when it’s not too busy.

Negative experience: I stepped into this terrifying place, taking a deep breath to prepare myself for the hellish torment known as ‘exercise’. For a gym this place is not very inclusive, my fat swinging gut could barely get through the door. There was a pretty femoid hanging about on reception. However, she started screaming when she saw me. I think it was because I was fat. I don’t know why this gym is so fatphobic. I felt like I was going to cry. I ran to the running machine to escape the icy glare of all the body builders and tripped in my skechers, smashing my front teef on the machine. They came to help me but I curled up into a ball. Don’t touch me, I pleaded. I’m scared of your kind. These kinds of men usually make fun of Bikers trying to get into fitness. I ask for the girl at reception to play korn as that’s the most exercise I have. When I am in my truck I bang my head to korn . Think I have got brain damage from exercise. Will steer clear of it for now. Thanks for helping me decide

Negative experience: Very good price. However too small, the low price brings lots of people which is great but there's not enough equipment for everyone. It's 24 HR so if you're a person who goes after 10pm and before 4am this place is perfect for you. However I have a day job and find it very difficult to get a decent workout without feeling penned in. The atmosphere isn't brilliant, it felt a bit like an office with a gym. You could Spend a few more quid and JD is just round the corner and that has a better atmosphere. Or Nuffield health if you have deeper pockets.

Positive experience: Very good parking spaces and a good variety of equipments. Very busy at peak times but a nice place to get toned and fit for summer or your holidays. It's 24hours so if you can, utilise the off peak times. Happy work out.

Fantastic experience: Recently started at this gym (around 4 weeks now) and I am really enjoying it. I've just recently qualified as a PT and decided to move gyms as my last one increased prices and changed ownership. I was a bit disappointed to see quite a few bits of equipment in need of repair but at the time I go, they weren't required to keep up with demand, so they were "spares" anyway, which is not a massive issue. They were repaired today (20th August). Most patrons adhere to the covid safe rules of wiping things down after use which is nice to see. Let's hope it continues once it's no longer a big health issue, because it's nice to not deal with sweaty weights. I've only once had to adapt my workout flow (today) due to needing certain equipment, which is pretty good out of 12 visits so far. So the equipment ratio isn't too bad. Free WiFi, 24 hour access, free parking and classes included in it's very reasonable price. I'm enjoying my time here so far.

Positive experience: Decent sized gym with many different gym equipment. Not using the Matrix equipment brand which makes this gym already amazing and the staff are very friendly. Only change I would make are the branding of the plates used at the gym as it is smaller than usual.
