Fantastic experience: Best gym in town in my opinion. This might be changeable over the next month or so..

Negative experience: Good gym, however the staff at reception are rude.

Positive experience: Great place with a friendly atmosphere, range of classes and facilities

Fantastic experience: Been a member here since May 2023. Staff are brilliant. On first name terms with most of them. Charlotte on reception is kind and courteous and Dan and Jason offer sound advice. Facilities are great aswell as the sauna and steam room included in the membership. Spot on

Negative experience: Been trying to contact all day n phone never answered been trying to book all day to swim no good

Negative experience: Awful if you need to contact them, no one answers the phone. Seperately, both kids take swimming lessons and their monthly subscription includes free swimming at Calypso Cove - sadly there are very few open spaces for those with free swimming/membership despite there being plenty of space to accept paying customers, so capacity isn't the issue. We've paid, just monthly instead of "at the door", yet somehow only so many can be accepted - They've been paid either way. Very disingenuous.

Negative experience: Great place and very friendly but made a mistake making male showers communal with no disabled shower lot of members unhappy.

Negative experience: spoke to a lady on reception with blonde hair she was rude and unhelpful, apart from that lovely gym and sauna

Fantastic experience: Love it!

Positive experience: Had a mediocre training sesh, nice an quiet in the morning, not too noisy, then hit sauna afterwards, had it to myself for sometime until others came in, some builders were retiling floor near loungers, showers in first changing room were closed for maintenance so rinsed off in showers in Relaxation area, will shower when get home after visit to Sunquest...tantastic...overall well productive morning

Negative experience: I have been a member of this establishment for years but after my experience today I was not very happy as I went onto a machine that was unoccupied at the time and looked around numerous times to see if anyone was on the machine as there was a drinks bottle left on the machine and did ask people around the area if they were using the machine and one gym member did say I think the bloke has gone that was using it before I went onto machine so I started my workout on the machine and another gym user came up and confronted me he was on the machine as he had left his water bottle there so meaning he had reserved that machine while he had visited the toilet but I did say to him no one was using the machine prior to me using the machine but he just kept saying I went to the toilet but it was my own understanding of the gym that putting your water bottle on a machine while you are out of the gym doesn't reserve that machine and prevent other people using it as if it were me I would take my belongings with me in case someone wanted to use the machine while I was out of gym . So I did not take kindly to the man going and complaining to a staff member called Laura that I had swore at him once he came back as I did not why would I embarrass myself over something so petty I'm a grown woman not a child being reprimanded just for using a machine that was vacant at the time and all I said to the man the machine was empty so I'm on it now as I do have the right to use it as much as him that's why I pay my membership

Negative experience: The equipment and facilities are great. However I've given it a lower rating due to the music playing. I dont want to hear loud boom boom house music after 8 am it's more fitting with after 6 pm.

Fantastic experience: There is something here for everybody who is interested in their health from swimming to cardio from free weights to weight machines of every kind. The staff are friendly and helpful. A great experience.

Positive experience: Nice gym facilities! I’ve been attending for about 2 months and the sessions are productive. The only downside is that under 16s have to book every single session and they’re only 1 hour long.

Fantastic experience: The gym had only bee opened for 1hour when I finished. The ladies changing rooms o the gym side need a good lean. There was dust and cobwebs.

Fantastic experience: Very good gym with loads of space and plenty of new equipment. One of the better gyms I've used. More expensive than most but you get unlimited use of the pool and calypso cove water park so saves a lot when I take the kids. Can also use multiple sites in Barnsley.

Fantastic experience: Great equipment, great staff and very clean state of the art gym. If you're overweight like I am and are looking for a gym where you dont feel conscious or judged, come here.
