The Spa and Treatments at Aztec Hotel: Opinions
Fantastic experience: Lovely place to chill out and relax
Fantastic experience: I couldn't justify rating the Aztec spa anything less than 5 stars, due to the outstanding customer service we received. The facilities were very good. There's a swimming pool, jacuzzi, steam room, sauna, relaxation lounge, treatment rooms, and gym. Anya the masseuse was amazing. There was an impressive selection of complimentary foods and drinks including cereal, biscuits, smoothie shots, teas, and coffees. A lot of care had been put into providing vegan options at the restaurant. The pool is shared with non-spa users staying at the hotel, which unfortunately meant there was a grown adult man who was splashing his friends on the poolside lounge chairs. As he was the beta male of his group, he was starved of attention and hoped his clowning around would impress the girls who had chosen to sit with the alpha male on lounge chairs instead. I understand that it's not possible to make the pool exclusive for spa users, but it would be good to eliminate immature and disruptive behaviour. It would also be good if they could introduce a fully online booking system, as currently the only option is to book by phone. I would specify on the website that gym access is included as part of spa days, as this is a major selling point. Overall this was definitely a worthwhile experience, and I would happily visit again.
Fantastic experience: Really nice hotel and place to stay if you'd like to relax :)
Fantastic experience: We had a lovely relaxing morning and Cara gave me a great massage
Negative experience: Very expensive
Fantastic experience: From arrival to leaving I was extremely impressed and satisfied with the hole experience. Staff where warm and welcoming, food was always to a high standard and waiting times reasonable. All communal areas appeared very clean, tidy and maintained to a good standard. My room was as above and cleaned daily, as I was staying over several day's i made the room my own by relocating furniture to suite my requirements. These items where left alone as staff could clealry see this had been done intentionally, they didn't just follow a script but used common sense. I would definitely be happy to return on any future business trips to the local area but also happly recommend to anyone else.
Positive experience: Lovely room and hotel with excellent spa facilities. We stayed for a family wedding, and it is much easier to get ready and stay on site than risk getting flat hair by going outside once dressed. Helpful staff and the wedding ceremony itself was beautiful. Be prepared, though. A double Southern Comfort and lemonade was £12+. A delicious and plentiful breakfast (pictured) the morning after was just what we needed.
Fantastic experience: Great pool. Great atmosphere and food
Positive experience: Great spa facilities, breakfast ok, extra charges bit misleading, rooms small and slightly stuffy, location is great, very clean and great staff
Fantastic experience: My daughter and I were brought a spa voucher before covid and only just managed to make use of it , and how fantastic it was, we were both really impressed from start to finish, the treatments were fantastic we had 2 wonderful spa ladies(Hannah & Giada), couldn't praise them enough, well done everyone
Fantastic experience: Somebody had bought me a massage voucher as a gift. When I arrived I added on a facial last minute which wasn't a problem. Sammy gave a great relaxing massage and facial - I would definitely return.
Fantastic experience: Lovely hotel
Fantastic experience: Handy for north Bristol commuters like me
Positive experience: Nice pool
Negative experience: I can only get thought to the spa,me and my wife called to make a reservation several times but we can't ever get thought to the reservation,is no one there to pick up the phone? amazing.... Well marriot hotel here we go again...
