Positive experience: Didn't stay, attended an event in their cafe.

Fantastic experience: We stayed here for a short getaway and wanted it to be dog friendly as I’m a dog groomer and my husband runs home boarding and daycare business. We were not disappointed, a lovely welcome and we felt safe on site, the facilities were excellent and excelled for little pups, very impressed by the dog wash! The shower areas warm and clean which was great as the weather was cooler. We had booked our dogs in to see Santa paws which both them and we loved, we had a coffee and Puppachino in the cafe, we didn’t brave the outdoor swimming though, easy system to go out and return safe in the knowledge your well kept plot is there when you get back! We have a motorhome and would definitely recommend this site and are looking at returning.

Fantastic experience: We just on our first ever stay at caravan park at Love 2 Stay ,we justvthink it's fantastic, it's got everything, toilets showers amazing and spotless, the staff very friendly and efficient with any queries, the cafe delicious food especially the cakes,and for free I can go cold water swimming in the fresh water pool, we are back in January, our family are staying in the lodges look forward to January. Fantastic experience: I stayed with my van on one of the huge, fully serviced pitches. Couldn’t fault this site, definitely the most luxurious I’ve stayed at! The site is very well planned with pitches and other accommodation one side and all activity areas the other side. The activities include a natural cold water swimming pool (access included in pitch fee), hot tubs, beach are with warmer paddling area, huge children’s play area, boating lake, dog walking area, dog agility area and a gym! The wash rooms were immaculate and even have toiletries in showers. I felt very safe here as a lone traveller and will definitely be back.

Fantastic experience: This is one of the best sites we've been to. Great level pitches. The shower block compares to Caravan & Motorhome C and might even be better! Site staff so friendly and welcoming. Lovely location. Varied facilities on site, good for families.

Fantastic experience: This is a totally different camping experience. 8 of us stayed in two safari 'tents' with all mod cons. Open plan kitchen, siting, dining room, double bedroom, bunk beds and an adorable little up-steps cubby hole bedroom (small kids will love it!) There was a log burning stove, radiators, an outdoor seat in area, and hot tub. On site there is a cinema, gym, dog agility course (yes you can take your dog), sauna, heated lagoon and beach, communal hot tub and more. The very best!!!!!

Positive experience: Recently stayed here for 3 nights in our caravan as a couple with two dogs. We really enjoyed our stay and look forward to coming back in the future. Positives: Big spacious hard standing areas to the pitches that are well draining - even in the torrential rain and storms! 16amp hookup and fully serviced pitches which include grey and black waste. Good facilities on site including recreational activities (some at extra cost). The free ones are excellent including gym access, communal hot tubs, swimming pool and sun loungers - plenty of outside seating! The cafe and pizzeria food looked and smelled amazing. Cannot comment on the taste as we didn’t eat any this time. Really welcoming staff and helpful, friendly and thorough check in service. Everything was explained well including access times, how to park on our pitch, how the pitch services worked, where the dogs were allowed (super dog friendly!) and a great brochure with extra information on the site and local attractions. Spacious well equipped facilities including large showers and private dressing area spaces. The showers have a sensor and are well timed so you don’t have to keep your hand on a push button like some other sites! They also provide free hairdryers and there are pot washing and laundry rooms. On site dog agility space and also off lead dog walk area is great! Well maintained site and grounds are landscaped beautifully On site security is also fantastic with barriers and fobs required to access. Beautiful views of the surrounding countryside and a good location for exploring locally - very close to Shrewsbury centre. The not so positives: On one occasion the showers were cold. I tried a few different cubicles to see if it was just the one off but it wasn’t. However, on all other occasions the showers were hot so this may have just been an irregularity. Opening times of the cafe/pizzeria could be better. They close very early in the week and pretty early at weekends. This feels a shame given that the site has so many facilities and it would be nice to socialise, have a pizza and a nice alcoholic drink, as there are no options for this within walking distance of the site. This means if you do want an alcoholic drink in a social setting you will have to get a taxi. Black waste facilities on your pitch. This is both a plus and a negative. The plus is that it is very convenient - especially as some pitches are quite a distance to walk to the main waste disposal point. However, it isn’t very pleasant if you or your neighbour are sitting outside as the drains are on the pitch border with your neighbour. Of course, I emptied it at the central point when they were sitting outside and they gave us the same courtesy. But I’m not sure everyone would do this! Additionally, we noticed on one day that there was a strong sewage smell for an hour or two. This could be worse on sunny days. It would be nicer if the grass areas between the pitches were a little larger so that there is more distance between your van and neighbour’s awning - just to maintain some more privacy for both parties. This however is my personal preference and it wouldn’t stop me from staying here again. Overall I would rate this site 4.5/5 and would stay here again and recommend it to others :-)

Positive experience: lovetostay has a lot of potential but I’ve found myself underwhelmed with the toilet and shower facilities. Shower water is virtually cold and there is no way to alter the temperature. There is nothing to place shower gel etc on, other than the floor. Showers could be cleaner. Hooks to hang your clothes up are razor sharp and need attention ASAP. Toilets like to flush while you are sitting on them. This place has a lot of potential but the finer detail seems to be missing from management. Try using your own toilets and showers and get an idea of the customer experience.

Fantastic experience: We stayed on one of the numerous pitches for touring caravans and motor homes. A fantastic site overall. Plenty of things to do. Although let down on a few points. There is not a tv aerial point on your pitch so hope you have your own aerial. The toilet/shower block in the men’s side has 5 toilets and one disabled, most mornings there was a queue. Also there are no privacy cubicles so you have to wash and shave in public. Haven’t seen this for at least 20 years. Apart from that it was a lovely stay and we will be back using our own facilities!

Fantastic experience: We stayed here with our caravan and I was very impressed, possibly the best park we've been to for cleanliness, amenities and friendly staff. I would recommend and visit again

Negative experience: This is just a review on cafe at love to stay. We had avocado and poached egg this morning -worst I have ever had anywhere - eggs undercooked and avocado not mashed just in pieces and hard. Service slow and when they cleared didn’t ask if we enjoyed and took 2 plates but just left third. Food seems to be left on side for a good few minutes before it gets to tables. Won’t rush back, cafe at top Salop leisure is a much better service!

Fantastic experience: This site offers Glamping with a capital 'G'. A well kept site with a top notch shower block and additional recreational facilities including a BioPool, Hot tubs and Hot Springs you'll not get anywhere else for miles around. We'll definitely be returning!

Fantastic experience: We stayed here for 2 nights and it is a lovely place, the lodge is great, fully equipped with everything you might need, hot tub was lovely and hot and there are plenty of towels and bathrobes available.The site is very well set out and well maintained and the staff are lovely and helpful. Fantastic experience: A beautiful location overlooking the hills. After a tough few months, I managed one night in our motorhome and I was overwhelmed by the place. Great facilities, fantastic staff (particularly Charlie who reorganised my stay), brilliant paddleboarding session, gym and cafe. Shower blocks for tourers are immaculate. I was a solo traveller this time and I cannot recommend it enough. Thank you.

Adventure playground, paddling pool, with a sandy area, sun loungers,swimming pool eith wild water lillies, hot tubs, ready set up awnings, ready set up tests, cabins,touring spaces,

Positive experience: Overall it is a lovely clean site and I was really impressed. However like everywhere there is pros and cons. Pros The barns are beautiful inside, really nice decoration just lovely. I have fibromyalgia and sciatica and I always worry about the beds, however the beds are really comfortable and I slept very well every night. The hot tub was checked everyday and a lovely addition to a lovely barn. The facilities all looked very clean and always tidy, I didn't not see any rubbish or anything worn. I loved the paddle boarding ,(even though I was terrible at it ) The surrounding areas are all lovely, nice walks for dogs. The little restaurant, we had cuppas and breakfast, little on the pricey side, however the breakfast was absolutely lovely and very tasty. Everyone respected the quite policy after 10pm which was really nice. The lake and surrounding walks ect was all lovely. My husband and step son really enjoyed the fishing lake. Cons The septic tank, at the other side of the camp, really stunk especially if I was hot, to the point were I had to go indoors when the wind came a certain way. Could do with some entertainment in the evening and restaurant open in the evening as the surrounding areas don't have anything for children and don't always want to be in the barn at night. The barn could do with a dustpan and brush and mop, as it only had a brush, and with the hot tub and dogs really needed a dustpan and brush and able to mop the floor. The oven was a burns hazard, I know ovens are hot, however the entire unit even the knobs were red hot and burnt myself a few times. This could be a huge risk for children or dogs. Could do with few utensils or just a list of what is in the barn so guests can bring what isn't there. I absolutely loved the eco pool especially when it was hot, however it was spoilt at time with children bombing and jumping in when people was trying to swim or enjoy the pool, when the signs clearly state no bombing or diving into the pool, and the guards was just sat there. I always want children to have fun but when one nearly lands on your head or the older guests was been jumped at and splashed wasn't every fair. Overall, a really lovely site, well looked after, clean, tidy, I would definitely come back again and also recommend it, however some things need updating and looking at.

Fantastic experience: First timers here.. Weekend has been amazing booked the campolet the facilities in the tent was 10/10 we wanted for nothing. The shower block and amenities were spotless… The team were so helpful and friendly, we did paddleboard highly recommended and cold water swimming followed by the hot tub and coffee.. highly recommend definitely be returning

Fantastic experience: We stayed in a Laurel Lodge with our 4 years old granddaughter and our 2 dogs for 2 nights. Our granddaughter loved he hot spring, beach, playground, and searching for wildlife in the wonderful gardens. The pizza was a hit too. The dogs loved the agility course and field. We enjoyed he food, the scenery, the hot tub, and the comfy lodge. We will be back.

Negative experience: We stayed here for a couple of nights this week and i have to say we were really disappointed. We booked a camper van pitch situated at the top of the park, and right from the moment we arrived we found the whole touring area was used as a face track by a huge number of kids all day, every day. It started around 8am with bikes/electric bikes/scooters racing around the roads continuously and stopped when the sun went down. The facilities block was ok, but very grubby and dirty. There didn't seem to be a very thorough clean done at all when we were there. This also ended up being the hang out area for kids, we found them most days sat around the sinks for a break from biking. We ate out one night in the cafe which was ok but quite expensive for a pizza. One thing that did stand out was the staff, they were all brilliant especially the paddle boarding instructor. We booked a lesson on the lake and it was great fun. We have decided we wouldn't stay here again and couldn't recommend it from our experience there.

Positive experience: Always enjoy a 2 night Motorhome stay , we come 3 times a year with 4 grandchildren The only downside this visit was the “Hot springs” were cold & it limited the time we could spend in this area because the kids were dithering , the 4 children are young & we would normally spend all day here. We will in future make sure it’s heated before we book , a small issue I know but it does make a big difference for the kids

Fantastic experience: Pros, Lovely site, so clean, amenities spotless, plenty to do for Adults and children. Cons, water in washing up area not warm enough for washing up properly, not enough parent supervision around toilet block, kids using the area as a cycle/scooter track. Still be back though.

Negative experience: Very unhelpful, I was looking on the calender at the safari lodges, the calender showed there was availability for Sunday- Monday stay for our wedding anniversary, however when I called to book, the sales individual said there was no availability for one night, its a minimun of 3 nights. I asked why it showed available, she said we would have to book in another lodges or another type of accommodation for a 3 night stay..... but yet there was no availability in any accommodation. Personally isn't it better for the business to have a family for one nights income than none at all. Thanks for nothing.

Fantastic experience: Great for visiting Shrewsbury & the surrounding area. Also perfect if you just want a weekend on-site, with lots to do (or not, if you don't want to).

Negative experience: Great place, great facilities, horrible staff. Lazy bunch that don’t have a clue what proper “customer service” means. We are paying a decent chunk to bring our kids for a nice family vacation meanwhile the service provided does not match the money we are paying to stay there. The staff needs serious training on customer service.

Fantastic experience: This is a great place for everyone. They have plenty of activities for friend and family. Plus they are within an hour of various things to see. We will definitely be coming back. Thanks Love2stay for a great weekend.

Service to get a beer was so slow, young girl spent more time watching the young lad in the yellow t shirt.. Only a few toilet cubicles for a site that could have 100s people if full.. Would have been a full 5 stars if not for a couple of niggles

Fantastic experience: Everything about it is neat and clean and yes you are in nature, the staff are very service oriented and helpful. I was totally surprised at how nice it was. There are many different accommodations to choose from. I highly recommend it.

Fantastic experience: Just come back from 3 nights over the bank holiday weekend. We took our caravan… pitches were great. The site is beautiful so much work put into it keeping it so clean. Kids had loads of fun doing all the activities. We can’t wait to return in the August.

Negative experience: Bank holiday Monday ruined by a loud petroleum lawn mower up and down driving right up next to our hard pitch. Director reply was we operate all year round. I said surely he didn’t need to cut the grass every day and why would you roster that task on a bank holiday Monday. Wouldn’t come back again for £50 per night we paid.

Fantastic experience: Best caravan park by a long chalk! Clean friendly, professional and most importantly they don’t skimp on staff!! Lots of people to help and look after you.

Positive experience: Very clean, well presented tourer pitches with great view. Lots to do on site. Would prefer privacy cubicles in toilet blocks as would be very crowded in peak times and not much space around basins to put your stuff.

Negative experience: The place is fine but with respect as an English based business, if you are going to set up in Wales, please also respect the local culture. No bilingual signage in Welsh on the campsite, not even a Croeso/Welcome. This was extremely disappointing when coming to Wales with the intention to learn some of the language and culture. Further shocked to see.the ignorance in the brochure left in the cabins that talks about English wines produced in Wales. How does that work? I came with a party that are learning Welsh and businesses like this that make no effort to protect the local language, will kill it off. Part of the interest in coming on holiday in Wales is to enjoy the cultural differences to England and an important part of this is respect and learning of the language and of course as a minimum love2stay should know that wine grown in Wales cannot produce English wine.

Positive experience: A beautiful site with fantastic views over the Wrekin. Large touring caravan pitches with excellent, clean facilities and lots of activities included - kids play area, cool pool, paddle pool and beach area. Plenty of additional activities also available to book at an extra cost. The onsite cafe/restaurant is really nice - the cakes are lovely but it is quite expensive.

Fantastic experience: Great stay in a safari tent. Really lovely amenities, the splash pool was warm and my little one loved it. The tent was very comfortable, the pizza very good too. Slight issue with the heating on the first night but fixed the next day. I would definitely stay again

Positive experience: Local to me, it make wild swimming a luxury. When you pull up the drive everything is tidy and pristine, even on a raining grey day the place looks bright. Toilets are clean and changing rooms. Have not been in the café yet!

Positive experience: A good touring site that's not too far from the town centre, all fully serviced pitches with hedges between for added privacy and very modern facilities. Only downside we found was that there was a strong smell of sewage every time we walked past what i assume was the septic tank access points as you walk towards the main reception.

We've stay in the lodge, wrens nest 2 and in January we stayed in the safari tent. Sooo cosy!! All amazing, clean, modern and well kept. Gorgeous locations too. Have reccomened to so many people, and they’ve loved it too. We will be back.

Positive experience: The site itself is lovely. Very well maintained site, pitches are huge and facilities block is one of the best we've seen Would be 5 stars, but the place seems quite stuck-up. Staff stick their noses up when you approach, and yet did nothing to stock a bunch of kids physically trying to damage the facilities block

Fantastic experience: Stayed at L2S for the first time last week. We stayed in our motorhome and loved the place. Cafe/restaurant is excellent, we had coffee and cake on two visits and a meal on one occasion. The pitches are excellent, the toilets blocks are just superb.. Will definitely be back when weather warmer.

Fantastic experience: This certainly is an excellent touring site. Level fully serviced pitches, great views and a luxury amenities block. The on site cafe serves excellent quality food. We booked 3 nights and ended up staying 10. Bus stop outside the leisure shop for busses to Shrewsbury and Telford.

Fantastic experience: Went here for a very cold outdoor swim then relaxed in the outdoor jacuzzi. Lovely evening and the cafe food was first class I will definitely return

Fantastic experience: We only had a one night stay, but found the site clean and friendly. This pitch was well appointed. We will visit again, hopefully in better weather. Due to the weather and short stay we only looked around all that the site had to offer.

Positive experience: A big, modern commercial site. All very smart, huge toilet block, all very clean and smart. There is a lack of hooks and shelves in the showers and the water wasn't very hot but they look amazing. The hottest you can get the water in the sinks for shaving is 43 degrees (there's a display to show you the temperature). The staff where fantastic, all very helpful and friendly. There's a nice cafe on site and lots of things to do. The site is a bit remote and the buses are few and far between, but none the less a lovely place.

Positive experience: I think it could do with a shop that sells essentials such as bread milk etc. If you run out of these, then you have to travel near Shrewsbury. We hired an isabella which we found was brilliant. I think the site could do with a few more of them.

Positive experience: This is a large caravan, motorhome & cabin / semi perm tent site. The facilities are extremely good, clean, large and what you would expect from a half decent hotel (shower block). Staff are friendly, some limited food options on site and a very large children’s play area & gym. Great location, lovely and quiet over night. The pitches have electric, water and grey water so everything you need. My only gripe is the price, at £40 per pitch it is definitely above what I would usually want to pay - but if that does not worry you then this is the place to go!

Fantastic experience: Our third stay, love it there. Relaxed atmosphere. Amazing accommodation. Clean facilities. Friendly and helpful staff. Can’t wait to go again.

Fantastic experience: A 4 night, half term mid week break, wonderful place to stay and very friendly and accommodating. On 31st Oct, the site organised a Halloween trail around the tourer Park, as Christians, we didn't want to participate, but the park were prepared for that and we had a sign for the window politely asking for no 'trick or treater's' to knock on our door. Facilities were of very high standards, our twins had a fabulous time in the heated pool and we joined in the hot tubs! I wasn't sure it'd be warm enough but the pool is heated like a warm bath, then to jump in the hot tub to get warm again! Tempted by the caravan sales showroom. next door! We only went in for storms straps (Ceiran!) and neatly left with another van!

Positive experience: Great location very clean modern facilities and a good greeting from staff great dog walking facilities very well kept the only reason for the 4 stars was our pitch got a bit water logged due to the amount of rain we had before and during our stay can't blame the weather on love to stay was just our experience wouldn't be put off as we intend to return next year

Negative experience: Be very sure you want to use enough facilities here to make it worth their very high prices for touring pitches. It’s a big site but the owners have really crammed in too much accommodation/pitches etc. (a huge variety of them) into the space making it feel overcrowded. Hot water in the showers could not keep up with demand during the busy half-term period. Not acceptable at this price point. Wild-swimming pond is a good idea, but the area cordoned-off for use when we were there was tiny, much smaller than that shown on their website photo. Unaccompanied children using the hot tubs, despite CCTV and Reception being close-by. Food in cafe mediocre. Bins for dog-mess often overflowing. One caravan pitch (away from our pitch thankfully) had a big wood fire (not a BBQ) in an open metal brazier with flames and sparks sometimes leaping 5 feet high or more. Clearly a safety hazard. Did not report this as Reception was unmanned and I could not be bothered to try and find out how to make a report as it was at the end of our rather unsatisfactory stay. Suggest staff patrol periodically, especially during peak season/times (as they do on Club sites).

Fantastic experience: An absolutely phenomenal site. All touring pitches are fully serviced. The shower/toilet block is exceptional. Great facilities including hot tubs. Staff are excellent. While we were using hot tubs, my daughter fainted and their support and first aid knowledge was excellent. Site is round the corner from Shrewsbury and is a perfect place to explore some wonderful places.

Positive experience: Great campsite with great facilities: very modern clean showers with complimentary shower gel and hair dryers, 3 hot tubs, small outdoor freshwater pool to swim in. Other facilities such as cinema, bootcamp and paddle boarding come at an extra cost and have to be booked. Small cafe that sells bottled beer and home made pizza etc. Expensive but a nice treat. Large field for the kids to run around on. Take walkie talkies/phones if you want to supervise the kids as the pitches are a good walking distance away from the football field and park. If you like walking, this isn't the site for you. It's more a base to drive into local towns/cities/places of interest or a weekend sat around the campsite.

Positive experience: Very nice and well kept caravan park if you can afford it, it is a very expensive place. There is lots to do, the restaurant could be open longer and offer more, a dedicated bar area would be good too.

Site maintained beautifully every day, staff very friendly & helpful. 5*shower blocks.. toilets..wash up room..washing machine/dryer/iron.. “pay by meter but cheap.! Cage is good selection for Breakfast/lunch, bar service after 12:00. So many accommodations to suit all, No shop but Aldi/Asda nearby 1.4km. Shewsbury Town 15 mins drive and has excellent Market indoors/outdoors certain days.. worth a visit.! LoveThisPlace

Fantastic experience: Fabulous caravan park with level pitches, all pitches have dedicated water, electric, waste water disposal and toilet disposal on pitch. Blocks very clean and modern. Good easy motorhome point. Good cafe on site.

Fantastic experience: We received a very warm welcome from the Love2Stay team, and our spacious motorhome pitch was perfect. We were especially surprised and delighted to find a drain on the pitch for toilet waste disposal. A feature that is rarely fund on caravan and camping sites, and it made our stay so much more convenient. The toilets and showers on site were also modern and spotlessly clean, and all of the team members we encountered were they and acknowledging. It is clear that take great pride in their site and guests. We would highly recommend Love2Stay to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable break just outside the lovely town of Shrewsbury.

Fantastic experience: It's the best Caravan site I've stayed at by far. Very dog friendly and lots for children to do too. Just stopped to break the journey on our way home to Wales. We are definitely returning for a longer stay soon.

Positive experience: Love this site! We stay in our own caravan and the pitches are a great size and facilities amazing. The heated outdoor pool is the best part and the playground. Could just do with more food choices at the bar.

Fantastic experience: We stayed here in our motorhome on a super pitch that includes EHU, grey and drinking water. The facilities are excellent, including the pools and hot tubs. There are lots of activities for kids which makes it an ideal site for families. It is a short bus journey into Shrewsbury which is a lovely place to explore. Highly recommended.

Positive experience: Lovely holiday park with great facilities for families with small children. However, food in the café very limited and no food shop of any kind so need to go off site for even basics like milk. Hence 4 stars rather than 5.

Fantastic experience: Lovely place to stay with the kids. Lots to do. The only downside, there is no shop on the site for when you run out of essentials. Other than this it's a great place lots of space. Pitches are a good size and so are the showers. All the staff are so friendly and helpful especially the staff that do the activities. I would stay again.

Positive experience: Our first visit touring our caravan to a non coastal retreat of 4 nights with our daughters 10&12. Check in was fast and informative. The pitches are extra large. You’d fit two caravans on these and a car they’re that big so there is ample space, first time we hadn’t needed to level our van which was amazing and each has privacy hedging with a grass embankment or back green space. The facilities were clean and pleasant, the showers and toilets had space not like usual jammed packed tiny cubicles. The block is pleasantly warm, the showers are lovely and hot with complimentary shampoo and body wash. There are also hair dryers and baby bathing facilities. Great to see a large squeegee to mop excess water away before /after. The grounds are well kept. We saw staff keeping the grass trimmed and stones / rubbish clear during the week days on the pitches and grounds. The layout is well thought out. Keeping the activities and pools down from site. The maps are clear to follow. My girls enjoyed clay modelling. Assault course. S’mores and fire building. Paddle boarding and kayaking. Hats off to the lads particularly joe and another (sorry didn’t catch his name) for their genuine enthusiasm and engaging our older kids when the weather was naff (for fire building & assault course ) or they were the only two booked in. They were fantastic and worth the money we paid! The dog compound is a good walking and ball throwing space and the agility and dog wash station a nice extra. The cafe offers a nice selection of beverages, cakes and savoury bites. We didn’t dine in properly. The pool was fresh and a new experience, the hot tubs were okay but get very murky late in the day after many people. We had an incident where my daughter went into the kids beach pool and put her hands down in faeces… totally unpleasant (baby pools for you I guess) but they quickly vacated everyone and dealt with the issue not that we returned. As a first experience we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Great for kids and families and it really is a dog friendly site. The only points that I felt impacted our stay would be fair use policy of the hot tubs - we gave up waiting some days with hot tubs filled with young kids and teens going in and out of large groups ignoring the 5 max and hogging tubs. They get quite yucky later on in the day as you can imagine so I didn’t feel clean in them. The hot tub and pools don’t appear to be monitored. We only saw a staff member two afternoons of the 5 days we stayed. It would be great to have a small shop or vending machine just to sell milk or perhaps some snacks or biscuits too. That was a big one for us - caravan fridges aren’t big so having to drive off site every two days for milk was an inconvenience. It would be nice if the cinema screenings were free on a book a place basis. I thought £5/child was rather expensive so didn’t utilise this. despite this i must stay the staff were friendly, helpful. The ladies on reception were just lovely! Our dogs enjoyed the welcome treat. Thank you.

Positive experience: This is a good site for the kids or the adults exploring Shrewsbury. Touring facilities were the best and the pitches very big with lots of services. They did say more work was being done on the wifi.

Positive experience: We had a lovely stay in a safari lodge. The rooms are small but adequate. It can rattle a bit if windy. We aren't impressed with the cafe and pool as they closed at 6pm in the week, maybe close later in busy periods. You have to ask for a microwave which you would normally get as standard in self catering. The safari lodges do not lock but there is a free safe. Dogs are welcome and there is a dog agility area.

Positive experience: It's great that this facility is open to locals like us, so our grandchildren enjoy the adventure playground and the cafe. In future we may try out the well-organised canoe and body board are. We normally arrive by bike. The route is ok apart from the final crossing in the site but I guess nothing can be done about that. An accident waiting to happen perhaps. One subject of bikes, it took us while to find them this time. We knew there were some by the adventure playground but they were well concealed in the now established hedges! Witnessed on sad event when a toddler was caught on the head by a fairly large rock swung by an accompanying boy. The "supervising" adults were out of vision so it could have been a serious accident. Actually the rocks shouldn't have been in that area but but had obviously been gathered there to throw down the slide which is now badly dented. So although the company claims no responsibility for this area and warns that it is not supervised, I think that is a mistake.

Positive experience: We wouldn't stay again, site rules not enforced and as a result despite the huge pitches our neighbours chose to sat on the boundary, pitched the opposite way to instructed by the site. People just walk over your pitch here, hedging needs putting up on the back of the pitches in the middle because it isn't just kids doing it. Shower blocks undoubtedly the best ive ever used but it's not enough to make me want to pay the very high pitch fee again. Everything closes at 5:30 and that's useless when you've kids to entertain in the evening. During peak season the pool and bar should be open later.

Fantastic experience: I have been caravanning for over 2 years and this is by far the best caravan site we have stayed at. We stayed here for 5 nights as a family of 4. Check in was super fast, easy and the staff were extremely helpful. Pitches are 5* nice and level with hedges as privacy, and the layout means privacy is achieved. Lots to do, kids did some activities which they loved but then spent hours playing in the outdoor pool with beach. Facilities are great, nice spacious and heated showers and always spotless. I tried to think of some feedback and the only thing that would be useful is a small shop selling essentials like milk/bread, but this is really clutching at straws. There is also a caravan dealer next door with a fantastic caravan accessories shop which was handy! I just think the owners of this site have nailed it, well done for an amazing site and we’ll 100% be returning.

Fantastic experience: This place is amazingly clean and quiet. Ideally located just outside Shrewsbury overlooking The Shropshire countryside and The Wrekin. Superpitch facilities as standard which are amazing, plus large glamping tents and excellent chalet units. Together with heated outdoor pool, (only waist height though) with beach area, cold wild pool approx 15°, Cafe with pizza oven, Salop Caravans next-door, bus stop outside site, with security on gates for complete peace of mind. All staff super friendly too. Perfect.

Positive experience: Visited with motorhome. Pitch was fine but ours a bit far away from playgrounds, pools etc. Good for families - nice heated pool for small children under 7. Nature pool very cold and mostly for adults. Good by reception ok but a bit pricey.

Fantastic experience: Stayed in a Safari Lodge for 3 nights. The site is excellent, beautifully landscaped and planted. The fresh water pool is great if you like that kind of thing, but it’s gorgeous to look at with the lily pads either way. Plenty of parking close to the accommodation. The outdoor splash pool and beach area are a real hit with the kids and felt like a warm bath. We had drinks and cakes from the cafe, all perfectly fine. Aperol Spritz for £6.50 and hot chocolate for £3.50. The kayaking team were particularly excellent and this was a great introductory experience for our young children. A few grumbles about the staff eg cafe staff appear inexperienced, a little lacking in flexibility, and we had a terrible check in experience which night staff blamed on day staff and day staff blamed on night staff, but I think this is a rare occurrence and most check-ins go fine. Hot tub was large and warm on arrival and all the way through the stay. Checked by staff daily, although did make me jump turning up unannounced whilst I was climbing out of it in my swimwear. Some finer maintenance and deep cleaning of the lodge would make it even better but overall it is a 5 star place to stay and you can’t really say otherwise. Note - if it’s windy outside the tent will be really loud to sleep in, so perhaps book a lodge instead.

Positive experience: Grounds well maintained and superb toilet and shower and laundry facilities immaculately clean. But poor restaurant with very limited choice and closed early evening. Tables not properly clean. Pleasant and helpful staff but not certain what to do. Very disappointing especially since no shop on the site to but alternative food. Lodges were great looking with hot tubs and fire pits plus expensive accessories. But a one bedroomed Lodge with mezzanine purportedly suitable for six was cramped. More substance and less style would be appreciated.

Fantastic experience: Just perfect. Beautiful black barn lodge with top spec finish and equipment. Superb hot tub, daily checked, great views, superb staff and absolutely pristine grounds. Not a leaf out of place. This is going to be a regular place to stay for us from now on.

Positive experience: I'll start off with the positives, the pitches are level and very good size. The tap and drainage has been thought through and put in a very convenient place. The facilities use white company products which is a nice treat. There is also a great dog washing facility. As a couple coming away it's pretty clear this place is totally geared up for families. The facilities are good but could be cleaner. Rules don't particularly seem to be adhered too. For example kids on electric scooters and people charging there electric cars on pitch. Breakfast was very very poor and slow. The most annoying think for us was bird scarers going off at randoms times through out the whole week which terrified our dog. This will be the main reason we won't return.
