Fantastic experience: Great gym, good variety of classes. Only joined in April, and it’s the first time I’ve been part of a gym. Really enjoying it, Andy & Daniel are my fave for classes. Excellent value and friendly place.

Positive experience: Lots of equipment available, relaxed atmosphere in the mornings, feels comfortable to go and work out. Always see the staff cleaning and disinfecting the equipment regularly which is nice to see.

Negative experience: Been going for the past 6 months and there is 0 fans and 0 ventilation and it really does cut my workouts short. The machines don't have fans either?? There's also no blue roll and spray to clean your equipment- this proved particularly gross when someone was sick over the side of their treadmill and nothing was done to sanitize it. There's still a smell and a stain on the floor in that area. Once my partner went and the windows of the gym were fogged up like a shower because the ventilation was that bad. There's literally huge air cons on the roof? Why are they never on?

Negative experience: Too many kids sharing their access to get in the gym by passing their phone back over the entry gate. Not sure why so many men had fluorescent work trousers on too?

Positive experience: No fuss, app does entry, bookings and assistance should you need it. Staff available in the day and are visible. Open 24h, good range of machines, weights and training equipment, very functional approach but everything you need. Can be a bit warm at times though, but certainly very good value.

Positive experience: I have been visiting Pure Gym for around 6 months now, having previously gone to the Gym Group. The atmosphere here is a lot better - although in the daytime it can get extremely busy and it can be very difficult to find a free machine, or long wait times for cardio. One of my favourite things about the GymGroup however was their body measurement machine. It was included in the monthly cost of the gym and was more precise and measured the amount of muscle in each limb, hydration, and gives you more insight on where to improve. The body measurement at Pure Gym feels extremely old and dated and costs £1 per use - which doesn’t seem like a lot but I’m actually paying around an extra £10 a month to use it which adds up and it only gives me things like BMI and body fat in general - not helping me focus on individual areas. I haven’t taken advantage of the classes or personal trainers so cannot comment , but the gym staff seem friendly and helpful.

Positive experience: Nice Gym, open 24/7 so great if you want to go early or late. Plenty of equipment. Nice clean changing rooms and showers, well the men's are, I can't speak for the women's . Good varieties of weights and equipment.

Fantastic experience: I've checked and tried other gyms in Tamworth, but this one has been my favourite. It's spacious, flexible, has a really wide variety of classes and good schedule. Also staff is amazing and kind! I'm only missing some cleaning equipment around the gym. Shout out to coach Connor Lovely. Starting a new gym can be daunting, but he made it feel like a second home. Really approachable, organised, always on time and making sure people join in, both in classes and challenges around the gym. He really helps create a friendly and encouraging atmosphere!

Fantastic experience: I've checked out quite a few gyms in the past, but let me tell you, this one really hits the mark with its flexibility and awesome location. The gym itself is spacious, with new equipment, and there's a bunch of classes to pick from. My only little gripe is I wish they had some cleaning stations handy and cranked up the air conditioning a bit more. And shoutout to Coach Lovely! His classes are top-notch, and he's always right on time. Even though gyms can feel a bit daunting, he's such a cheerleader, super approachable, and I bet he knows everyone's name in there. Plus, it's budget-friendly! Seriously, give it a shot, you won't regret it

Fantastic experience: Love the feeling there. As Every gym here as well I wish something different but we all want different things. Mine is a bit louder music from the speakers in the early hours...but probably someone else wishing a more quieter ones...so hey. Happy what I got and enjoy my workout as always

Positive experience: A decent gym, very clean and a lot of machines in the downstairs area. Plenty of benches and dumbbells. Not a lot of cardio equipment and the weights section is a fairly small area.

Negative experience: Same as other pure gym places. Lack of proper machines. Dumbbells max 50kg.

Fantastic experience: Good Equipment and helpful staff

Positive experience: Great gym but music set too loud, around 70% of people in gyms wear headphones and even with over ears and ANC the gym music still takes over. Generic music that the other 30% of people aren't going to be worried about losing a bit of volume. Showers could do with being a couple of degrees warmer. Good gym, friendly staff, good equipment and parking..

Fantastic experience: Recently joined, nice bunch of people in there, staff and customers. Great array of equipment and people actually like to share the equipment between reps. Very quiet on a Sunday evening so an ideal time to get your workout done in relative peace. Gets very busy early in the week, I go on a Tuesday but not till later on as it's usually packed out.

Fantastic experience: Helpful staff, plenty of machines to exercise all muscles. Drink and snack machines to buy from.

Fantastic experience: Best Gym I ever joined! Great classes, suggest you try Yoga with Suzanne, free parking and amazing staff, shout outs to managers Darcey and Daniel. Been there a month and loving it, check out reduced membership for 12 months before offer closes!

Fantastic experience: This post is not against Puregym, but the members. Today l visited the Tamworth gym and at some stage l misplaced my bank card (it was zipped into my shorts, but obviously not as securely as l thought). When l left the gym l wanted to go shopping and then found l didn't have the card. I contacted the bank and found someone had already made an online purchase. The card has now been stopped and will take up to six days to replace. As this is my only card, this means l will be unable to buy groceries for the next few days. Beware of the low-life, dishonest members at the Tamworth gym!!!!!

Negative experience: There are no cleaning stations at this gym and no way for people to wipe their equipment off before/after use. This is the new company policy apparently. No wipes, no sprays, no paper rolls, nothing. So when you go to use a piece of equipment, it's contaminated by whoever was on it before you and you can't clean it yourself. The company says that the gym is still cleaned "daily," and that they don't feel the need to ask people to wipe equipment off after use (nor even give the the option to) since there are now no Covid restrictions. Even before Covid I've never used a gym that didn't provide cleaning materials and request gym users clean their kit. Apparently though you can "bring sweat towels" as per their online support, to make it easier to wipe your sweat around on the machines when you're done. I won't be taking membership due to this.

Fantastic experience: Great new gym for Tamworth. Great value, clean, tidy, everything you need. Brilliant!

Negative experience: £12.99 sounds great as a starting offer (12mo) but a £15 joining fee? You're having a laugh. thats extortionate
