Fantastic experience: Super friendly staff, and great kit and equipment. Really happy there.

Negative experience: I cancelled my contract with this gym by sending them proof of my address to say I moved away. I was told my last payment would come out in October, however another payment came out in November too. I have been trying for a month to get a refund from them but no one ever picks up the phone. They keep telling me that they will contact Clubwise, however I called up that company myself and was told that they never received anything. Be careful if you cancel your contract with these guys and make sure to get some sort of receipt to prove so.

Negative experience: *AVOID AT ALL COSTS* I went a handful of times as it was small and the equipment wasn't what I wanted, but that is not my reason for 1 star. After relocating in 2019, I attempted to cancel my membership over the phone, via the portal on the website, and via email - on multiple occasions. I sent one final email explaining that I would be cancelling my direct debit as I had been trying to cancel it for months, with no success, and it was costing me too much as I was paying for another gym membership at this point. 1 year later I received correspondence from a debt collection agency, long story short, I was going through a hard time after a serious car crash so I decided to (begrudgingly) pay the debt of around £130 to be done with it all, even if I felt it was unfair. I was told that would be the end of it and no further action would take place as my membership would be terminated. 5 years later I have received another email from another debt collection agency asking for nearly £400. I have had no correspondence in those 5 years explaining that I still have a membership, only emails from Anytime Fitness asking me to REJOIN. I haven't used their gym in over 5 years and I am still being bothered for money due to their complete and utter incompetence.

Negative experience: I haven’t been a member in the best part of 6 years and Anytime Fitness Lincoln have sent their THIRD different debt collection agency after me for money I don’t owe! Even though I never owed the money in the first place, I did end up paying the money to the first debt collection agency to avoid the stress of a black mark on my credit file as I was in the process of purchasing a house at the time. A month after paying the first agency, I was chased by a second agency who I told to leave me alone and they did. Now, 3 years after making that payment and considering the matter resolved, I’ve been threatened again by a different agency on their behalf for the third time. I have complained to them several times about the stress this caused me and they have been ZERO help.

Positive experience: Nice gym, good kit, clean, good parking. Can’t complain.

Negative experience: Disssponted. From out of town and work all over uk and started using any time. Fitness because the ones in my area all have punch bags of some sort disappointed to see online pictures of this gym with a punchbag to turn up and find there isn’t one

Negative experience: Not good I’m afraid I went into the club on a few occasions I am disabled with seriously reduced eyesight! This has deteriorated during the past year and I’m awaiting a consultants appointment. I found this gym so overcrowded with equipment and I subsequently fell over. Another member was quite rude to me so I reported this nothing happened. I then started to go to the Newark branch ( same ownership) this was much better I became a good friend with a staff member who used to arrange to be there with me as my confidence had taken such a bad knock. However this gym closed so I was left with nothing except a direct debit payment being taken every month. I gave my notice as per requirement know I’m getting nasty phone calls from some debt collection woman gives no name etc. This is an appalling way to treat a disabled person!

Fantastic experience: Used to go to anytime in Lincoln. Absolutely loved it and miss coming to this gym never felt so comfortable as a woman in a gym as much as this one. When I’m back in Lincoln I will definitely be rejoining. The club manager was amazing and so friendly and offered my NHS discount. Hope to see you soon once again !

Negative experience: Terrible gym , smelly and congested . Toilets smell bad . I would advise anyone looking for gym to join nearby Pure Gym which is bigger , newer equipments , less cost and no contracts. AVOID this gym if you looking to getting good service and save some money.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been a member for a couple of months now having joined from another commercial gym that just kept putting the prices up but giving us less. Well Anytime isn’t any other commercial gym. It really has that independent feel (even though it isn’t) I’ve never known a gym so clean and tidy (all the time). I’ve never felt uncomfortable. The staff and PTs are all friendly and welcoming. The changing rooms are pretty decent also. The added touch of sweat towels and fruit is really welcome. I’m so pleased I joined. It’s a lovely gym that make the most of the space they have. I only wish it was bigger because I know they would do even more with it!

Negative experience: AVOID!!! AVOID!!! AVOID!!! My experience at Anytime Fitness Gym Lincoln has been horrible. My husband and I walked into the gym for the first time in September 2022. While registering, we informed the staff (Scott) that I would be unavailable after September as I do not live in Lincoln but would most likely visit in the new year, 2023. He asked me to inform him again a few days before I left in September 2022 so he could freeze my account. I went a few days before my last day to remind him, but I was told to come back a day or two before leaving, which I did. Anytime fitness debited me (£35) in the first week of October. This was rather shocking as I did all I was asked to do. I called and emailed them severally with no response until the manager, Leigh, picked up one fateful day and tried to blame me for informing them only two days before leaving‍♀️. I insisted that I was following the instruction of the staff Scott and he said Scott no longer worked with them and blamed Scott for misinformation bla bla. I told him that I was also supposed to be charged lower due to my NHS discount, that’s if I had to pay a monthly subscription, which I didn’t have to pay as my account was supposed to be frozen. I asked that my money be refunded, and he said that wouldn’t be possible and he would move it to my future subscription for 2023. I didn’t like how the call went and felt I had been mistreated, so I asked that my membership be terminated in several emails I sent them as I wasn’t in Lincoln anymore. I called severally to find out if my membership had been cancelled, but my calls were never taken. I cancelled my direct debit to avoid money being debited from my account. My husband in Lincoln went in to talk to Manager Leigh in person and said it would be resolved and that he would send me an email, which he never did. He also said he would send an email to his manager as well. I continued to receive threatening emails and messages from AF. I later got one stating that “my debts” have been handed over to a Credit Control Agency for collection and that I can no longer make payments directly to AF club. This is horrific; people should kindly avoid Anytime Fitness Gym!!! Particularly the Lincoln branch.

Fantastic experience: If I could sum up this gym in one word, it would be ‘brilliant’. Great staff, equipment and atmosphere. I’ve even acquired a training buddy that I sometimes go for a coffee with after a workout! Big 10/10 from me!

Fantastic experience: I don’t often write reviews, particularly about gyms, but felt compelled to do so after being so impressed with the facilities and standards at Anytime Fitness. I previously attended Pure Gym where I found equipment to be poorly maintained, and that members routinely did not put equipment away, nor were they encouraged to do so by staff. As someone with little time to workout, this makes a huge difference and is something I place great emphasis on when choosing a gym. Staff are polite and friendly here - I arrived wearing a football shirt one day and a staff member made the effort to compliment me on this and to talk about the recent England v France game. A frustration I always have at 24 hour gyms is equipment availability during busy periods - however, I never struggle to find equipment to use here, even during busy times. The gym is clean, well-equipped and is clearly looked after - I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to friends and family.

Fantastic experience: Been a member for just two months now and I love it here. There’s a great range of equipment so I can mix my workouts up. Changing rooms are decent too which is not always the case in gyms! Most importantly for me there’s a good atmosphere and Im never standing around waiting to use stuff. The staff have been really welcoming and helpful - I was quite nervous joining as I’ve not been to the gym since before lockdown. It feels great to get back at it again!

Fantastic experience: Thought after two months it's probably a fair time to leave a review After trying nearly every gym in Lincoln and hating them (going for a month and then being too anxious to go again due to the atmosphere/staff), I started to think it might be me, but on joining Anytime, I'm not so sure it is. Staff have been lovely (professional with a large sprinkling of personable and genuine), equipment clean and very new (TV connected machines so I can watch Brooklyn 99 and ignore the fact I'm doing cardio), plenty of wipes, never overcrowded, good Aircon. Wasn't sure on the bag storage area originally but with the little lockers for valuables, it works quite well. Paid the year in full to get the discount but think its worth the full price too (never paid more than £19.99 before at other places. You get what you pay for). Overall very happy and hope the next 10 months continue the same

The staff are all really friendly and helpful - I'd sent a few messages prior to joining and everything was answered quickly and professionally, with no pressure to sign up. The gym itself is really well equipped and always kept clean and tidy. Fellow members have all been really friendly to!

Fantastic experience: I've been a member of this gym since December 2019, and came as someone who hadn't done any form of workout for several years prior. The staff provide top notch customer service and are always happy to answer any questions. The gym has a large variety of machines and equipment for a range of different exercises and it has been rare that I have gone on a busy day where I have to wait too long to use a specific piece of equipment. There are multiple cleaning stations throughout with wipes to clean down equipment after use and the gym is constantly kept extremely clean and operates well within social distancing guidelines, which is excellent to see. The monthly membership is higher than some other gym chains, but the perks included with the price and the ability to use the gym out of staffed hours makes the price worth it in my opinion. Whilst I am a regular of this gym I wouldn't describe myself as a serious bodybuilder by any stretch of the imagination, however as someone who came to this gym looking to get in shape and live a healthier lifestyle, I have nothing but good things to say.

Fantastic experience: What a brilliant place to train. I have been a member since this gym opened and it’s constantly striving to improve the equipment by upgrading relentlessly to keep the general experience for the members as enjoyable as possible. Great atmosphere and no massive egos to contend with when negotiating your way around the gym. Great place. Can’t wait for it to be reopened this week.
