Anytime Fitness Leighton Buzzard

Positive experience: The Anytime Fitness in Milton Keynes and Sydney Australia are better than this gym. The ones in Sydney have recently been renovated and have newer equipment. This one has old equipment and no functional training/floor space.

Fantastic experience: Best gym in the local area for weight training, plus got all the cardio equipment you would need. Great atmosphere and friendly staff.

Negative experience: NEVER JOIN! This is a money grabbing gym! I have fractured my hip and they have been taking money out month on month, when I went to cancel the Manager then wanted another month out of me and added a late fee.... and I am STILL to this day getting demands by email and text to pay them more money! Most gyms when you are injured treat you with respect and care so that when you are recovered you would go back! This is just a money grabbing gym! They have basically had 8 months of money out of me without me going once and now they want MORE money, just disgusting.

Positive experience: This gym is excellent I have to wait a bit for equipment but that's good considering it's popular. Me and my wife will be returning.

Positive experience: The gym is ok, plenty of equipment and free weights to train with. Also a number of PT available for more personal sessions if need it. Understanable the gym tends go get very busy after 1700 with no sufficient space to train. The only downside is the cleanliness of toilets and sometimes equipment but overall a good gym

Positive experience: Nice gym. I visited on a Saturday afternoon as my gym was closed for the day. Smaller than other gyms, but it was quiet enough for that not to be a problem. It might feel cramped at peak times. Good quality, new equipment. Lots of free parking on site.

Positive experience: Good gym. Plenty of equipment, if a bit too cramped to use it all easily. But there is a big hole in the floor next to one of the racks - my foot kept slipping into it and it was difficult to deadlift properly even trying to ‘bridge the gap’ with deadeners.

Fantastic experience: Great gym, really spacious and lots of machines. Staff are all very welcoming. I would definitely recommend this gym to anyone in the area

Negative experience: Very glad we didn't sign up here. Had a trial and was called a few days later, explained to the staff member on the phone that we will not be choosing to join as the gym is abit too small with not enough equipment for our needs. The staff member became rather passive aggressive, stating 'if that's what you think'. Well, it is a fact it's a very small gym - perhaps ideal if you travel a lot so you can use their other gyms. We stuck with our current gym and would rather drive 10 miles than use this one

Fantastic experience: Relative to all of the other gyms in this price range and in/near Leighton Buzzard this place comes out top for me, the equipment is more up to date than the others. not over crowded and open all hours. My only minor issue is the equipment can be left for awhile when it has a problem, this can be frustrating! Signs on a broken machine would help. The staff are helpful when approached.

Fantastic experience: Easy to sign up to, competitively priced and open 24 hours a day. No signing in, or trying to find your membership card hassle. You get a key fob to let you in and then you're away. Has a great selection of cardio and resistance machines, plus a decent sized free weight area.

Negative experience: I signed up to Anytime Fitness in Leighton Buzzard after the Mentmore shut down. I was in need of a gym with exercise classes and was told when I signed up that there were exercise classes pretty much every day. I was even given a leaflet with the classes on. In the 5 months that I have been a member I have not seen 1 class. Granted I only go to the gym about once a week as I have free gym at work. When I asked staff about classes they explained that due to staff shortages classes had been suspended / reduced... So... when I explained to the Manager that I was terminating my contract (and signing up somewhere else with a regular class timetable) I was told that he would send debt collectors round to reclaim the money for the remaining 7 months of my contract! That left a VERY sour taste in my mouth. I don't like to be threatened when the reason for me cancelling my membership is because of them cancelling exercise classes! The Manager explained that it was not a good enough reason... I signed up to use the classes + there are no classes = valid reason. I was advised to pay for a personal trainer!?! So they can get more money out of me and not deliver the service on offer. Other than that, the gym is clean and tidy. Well maintained and never busy. Such a shame to leave on bad terms.
