YMCA Maidstone

Fantastic experience: An excellent facility and most notably friendly and helpful staff. The gym has all the necessary equipment and is not too crowded. There is a sports hall where many activities are held and studios where classes are held in yoga, pilates and many other things. I think this is a fantastic community resource, well run and with a multitude of facets.

Fantastic experience: Excellent sports facilities, I play badminton here, great courts, lovely cafe, very friendly staff and lots of parking. Prices are reasonable and even cheaper if you become a member, which is also very reasonable. Highly recommended.

Fantastic experience: I came here for a Walking cricket event organised by Kent Cricket Community team. It was a well organised event with a lovely coffee at the end. Staff at the YMCA were really friendly and polite

Negative experience: I HATE this silly silly place, it is really silly and the waiter kept throwing boiled shrimp at me and they were full of rusty nails, UHH... ONE STAR!!

Fantastic experience: Amazing place friendly staff especially at reception they get to know you, I use the gym,gym staff know thier stuff and again friendly, do yoga on a Sunday love it Shannon is excellent been doing it for about a year have a laugh worth getting up for on a Sunday then whole glass is good fun,loving my yoga journey and I try to Go Mondays when possible with Helen again great class what more can I say need more yoga at weekends as it the only time I get to go (shame that stopped the Saturday class) On a whole the place is excellent always busy one of the best things about Maidstone

Negative experience: Great Venue however the old miserable woman that is a roller skating marshall shouldn't be around children. She is a depressing individual with a disgraceful attitude! We will no longer return. The music hasn't changed in 18 months! A formal complaint to the Head of the Y.M.C.A will follow. The place in general is great and ruined by 1 old woman and her rude attitude.

Fantastic experience: The roller rink hockey club hear is excellent and all so very welcoming. Staff at the YMCA centre are also amazing and aways happy to help. Maidstone rink hockey club train Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Fantastic experience: I take me disabled little girl here to use the spacious shower facility. Just upon entry my little girl is lifted. It is a bright colourful & clean environment. The cafe is a welcome bonus to sit & grab a hot drink & get something to eat before we set off home. The staff I have always found to be very helpful & friendly.

Fantastic experience: Hired a 3G pitch for my sons birthday and him and his friends had so much fun, very efficient staff, lovely iced coffee and hire price was fair!

Positive experience: Clean and fun. Went for children's birthday party. Loved the bouncy castle and all the ride on toys. Slightly disappointed with having to move to a tiny room for food. Not all parents could fit in to help their children in seats, to portion up and to eat. Maybe food can be served in the hall or a bigger room for younger kids.

Fantastic experience: Loads of activity being offered here weekends. From Kumon to dance to basketball to football to tennis. And not to forget the cafe offering hot and cold drinks and other snacks while you wait for the kids to finish up their activity. Lovely ambience. Great place.

Positive experience: Bounce and play a bit disappointing as too many kids on a Friday which made it less enjoyable. More toys and chairs needed for the amount of people attending.

Positive experience: Nice indoor and outdoor sports / athletics and Wellness centre for the Maidstone community. It's quite family oriented too as there is something for every member of the family.....from Loose Pre School, dance classes, ballet classes to basketball, football, skating, gym, Wellness Centre / Spa (massages, acupuncture, osteopathy et al) etc. There is also a small place to buy quick bites and drinks.....and yes, they have high chairs for toddlers. Good one that covid restrictions are in place I tried to capture their brochures and leaflets for more information as required.....there is also a picture with their social media handles and of cause a reception at the entrance for all information....

Positive experience: What a great party for a 4 year old. All the stuff little ones like to do; bouncy castle, balls, parachute thing etc. Then they go off to eat and clean up too so the parents don't need to. There are staff around the whole time and would have been 5 stars of the staff did some party games too. They're in the sports hall anyway so why not get a stereo and do musical statues, musical chairs, pass the parcel etc.

Positive experience: Went to get our Covid test 1pm,all done in carpark,drive or walk through. Very well organised,social distancing and hygiene well organised,result 7am next morning. Didn't actually go in building. In a nice quiet location.

Positive experience: Only visited during lock down to see osteopath. But looks like it's normally a great venue. Osteopath provided excellent care and treatment

Negative experience: Staff at YMCA are like most YMCAs. I’m not asking for enthusiastic staff but it does go a long way
