Fantastic experience: Great gym I am so glad I joined .

Positive experience: The pool is one of the best around the town, very clean. Gym is nice too, however a bit more space would have made it to 5 star.

Fantastic experience: I hope everyone had a fanatic Christmas and drank lots of wine haha! But I’d like to say how Absolutely brilliant the Waterfront is! This place is my little sanctuary, I just can’t get enough of it. The Pool, Gym and Sauna are pure bliss. The steam room is truly a haven and when paired with the hot tub it creates a sensual escape after dealing with the kiddos. For a mum like me, I often find myself working up a sweat but the gym is a completely different experience, the equipment is more than enough for what I am looking for, primarily focusing on my glutes and thighs, which is almost always followed by a detox in the sauna. Almost feels like I’m sweating away all of my frustrations and negative energies. The staff are very friendly and helpful, it’s always nice being greeted with a smile by those at the front desk, creating a feel-good environment! For all that is included the waterfront offers memberships at a very reasonable price ( I think haha ). Overall I couldn’t really ask for much more from my local gym and always recommend it to friends and family! Oh, I also read a particular member of staff (the brown-haired PT) receiving praise and I couldn’t agree more always puts a smile on my face

Fantastic experience: Love this place! Was a guest as my girlfriend is a member, seriously thinking about joining myself. The Spa and Sauna are perfect after a long sweaty work out. Which can I say is easy to achieve as the gym facilities are superb :). Staff are absolutely AMAZING! I’d like to give a special thank you to one of the PTs, didn’t catch his name but he was a shorter fella with short brown hair. Really went out his way to make me feel welcome, absolutely credit to the company. Can’t wait to return ! P.s Love the location Perfect Little hidden gem

Fantastic experience: Been a member for 12 months. Love the classes! Love the restaurant! Have always felt supported and encouraged by ALL staff, from the moment you arrive. PTs are amazing. Enjoying the new programmes that have been added. Really great mix of members.

Fantastic experience: Have been using the Gym and associated facilities prior to covid, and have now returned. Great team from the front desk, to management to the cleaning teams. The Resturant and bar is great also, and a little gem hidden away ***** Only thing I would like is a cold plunge pool!!

Positive experience: I have frequently attended this gym since Nov 2022 around when it re-opened after Covid. I really like the gym and access to a swimming pool only thing is it’s pricey. However I still like access to all the facilities. My main issue is one blonde receptionist with piercings, I always make it a little thing to try and greet any of the staff (all while being introverted) when I attend the gym and she will always ignore me and my friend who attends the gym too. Doesn’t seem happy to work there which is fine, customer service is hard. But at the end of the day it’s what you’re getting paid to do.

Fantastic experience: Really good gym. Friendly and helpful staff, gym is clean and tidy and never feels too busy. Smells really nice (niche but it does smell nice). The gym has incredible Aircon. They also have wipes for the machines which is good as I am sweaty human. The changing rooms are clean and tidy with SUPER powerful showers and private changing areas. So far my favourite thing is literally every time you see a staff member you get a nod and smile and a hello which sounds like a small thing but it helps you feel more welcome and like you belong somewhere.

Fantastic experience: This is my daily happy place, meeting new people and seeing regulars. A relaxed friendly atmosphere and you can have a coffee overlooking the waterfront perfect.

Negative experience: Steam room not very clean, smells and looks battered. Gym has old equipment and needs updating. Management not very helpful and ignore problems. People paying different prices and certainly isn’t worth the highest of £69! This place is advertised as luxury but it really isn’t. Disappointing.

Negative experience: Was not happy with the level of hygiene in spa, sauna is for 2 people expect long ques and waits, no regular cleaning or system in place to request. Gym is really old eqipment. Not a a good experience. Much better options out there.

Fantastic experience: Amazing. AMAZING. Pimmys massage is AMAZING. She is friendly, respectful, strong and gentle at the same time. I highly recommend it.

Positive experience: High subscription costs for a gym that has been allegedly refurbished. Lovely swimming pool area and great view from the gym

Negative experience: Extremely disappointed. Sunday display opening time is until 8pm. Came in at 7.10 pm and was denied access. Apparently 1 hour before, the gym is technically closed for arrivals. This is displayed nowhere on their website, in fact it actually says "gym is still open". Appaled at this. Taking my membership elsewhere. I wanted a 20min exercise session, but apparently 50 min is too short for that. Thank you for ruining my evening.

Fantastic experience: Have been going when able since they reopened and nothing but great experiences. Staff are friendly and helpful. Facilities are very clean and antiseptic wipes are available and encouraged for the gym

Negative experience: SAVE YOUR MONEY! Terrible experience and very over priced at £20 for a day pass, the gym isnt bad. Does benefit from a nice view But the sauna is 2 people max always crammed, steam room is filthy with no hose to clean, smells horrid and steam is weak. Then i move on to the showers which have dont work very well. Some dont heat up others barely have enough water coming out, drains backing up. Literally standing in the water because the shower drainage backs up if more then 1 shower is used at the same time In the mens area, 1 jacuzzi with a long wait, also shuts off for 15 minutes every 15 minutes, finally not to mention the red head karen type At reception, you wont miss her as the rest of the staff are actually extremely friendly and helpful.

Negative experience: After reopening from several years of neglect, most of the gym equipment has nit been replaced just cleaned and repaired, with many dated and the cardio machines showing their age compared to other gyms. Badminton courts and actually painted in the wrong colour, so difficult to see the shuttle at height , and something not quite right with the squash courts, ball sometimes comes off at weird angle or just drops. Staff nit very helpful , restaurant over priced and limited , pool medium sized. What is alarming is the the bad language around the pool and gym areas which staff seem to ignore, mainly during mid week mornings. Classes promised not scheduled, horrible plastic steam room and sauna, just poor. For the cost other up market centres are so much better and the two gyms on the outlet centre have better value , friendly staff and better equipment. A cheap makeover of the original centre with little imagination or innovation on current trends.

Negative experience: For 10 years I have been driving a campervan around the UK doing my job. I've been to so many places that I can't even count how many. I work night shifts in security. Whenever I'm doing work somewhere, I'm looking for a place where I can rest and relax at the pool during the day, I spend about two hours at the leisure center, rest in the campervan and go to work again. This is the first time in all these years that I have been refused a membership sale at a place like this because the manager told me the rules of the place do not allow it. Fortunately, there are other such places in this area with friendly staff, and I bought a membership in another one without any problems. You are the only place in the UK where I have met such unfriendly egocentric staff. Avoid this place from afar, I do not recommend it from the heart, it's a waste of time. People create the quality of a place.

Positive experience: So glad it's reopened to the public after covid. Nice and secluded and not over subscribed (yet!) So the gym and pool aren't too busy normally. Staff are helpful and the facilities are more than adequate although so machines are showing their age a little.

Positive experience: Lovely place. Brilliant location, friendly staff and an excellent range of classes for all levels of fitness and ability. The instructors are extremely knowledgable and supportive and fellow members are really friendly. At peak times ie when there are popular classes running in the pool area, the changing rooms are way too small and cramped. Given the location its a real shame the bar area and restaurant remain unused. Fortunately members can meet and have a drink and/or food at the yacht club nearby. Come on Waterfront. Get your own bar up and running again. A few years back there used to be some excellent social events.

Positive experience: Been a member here for 5 years and it has the potential to be an amazing place with great views over the estuary and I wish I could give 5 stars, but over the last 2 years I have noticed more and more people not bothering to shower before entering the pool, even this weekend a man leaving the steam room dripping in sweat and getting straight into the pool. Showers are provided poolside so not sure that it is fair to blame the leisure centre for disgusting clients but maybe better or more signage would help or even a permanently running water cascade that you have to walk through before getting to the pool area.

Positive experience: Very friendly staff, love the water workout etc. Good gym facilities. The changing rooms are in need of major maintenance which is dragging the whole experience down.

Fantastic experience: Possibly the best leisure centre in Kent on the banks of the Medway in a private marina. Security checkpoint when entering and leaving. Has everything except tennis. Lovely heated pool, excellent huge gym with separate changing and showers. Spa with hydro and sensory tanks, sunbed, massage, two steam rooms, two saunas, Jacuzzi, large badminton hall, two closed squash courts, one glass court, separate spa changing with relaxation area, snooker and pool room, two fitness studios, restaurant and bar area, outdoor sundeck overlooking marina, coffee and tea, nearby separate restaurant and bar. Huge secure car park. Shop sells merchandise, squash and swimwear, racquets, etched. Racquets, balls, towells, can be rented. Ideal for singles, couples. Does accommodate children but times are restricted as it is an adult club. Strictly members only. Qualified sports therapists and masseuse available. When my family and I moved to Kent we looked at all and I mean all the clubs from Nuffield, Roko, Roffen plus the hotel chains and the less appealing municipal clubs. The only things this doesn't have which our old club did are golf and tennis but there is an excellent indoor tennis centre in Gillingham right next to the golf club. There are also free tennis courts in Rochester park and lovely golf clubs both private and municipal all around Medway. If you are looking for the best leisure club around then don't waste your time or money with the others. Waterfront has it all and it is open until 11pm most nights! Marcus Brown and family.
