Positive experience: Good Basketball court

Negative experience: Very dirty changing rooms, please clean more often and educate people in keeping the place tidy

Fantastic experience: I am back doing circuit training with Maurice after the same class stopped at Willesden Sports Centre around 20 years ago; I remember the amazing session back then that got me fit! Good value for money too with the cost of living crisis. Shabba

Negative experience: Court was extremely slippery, couldn't really ball there.

Fantastic experience: Hired the l space to host Community Event for 75+ people Center also has Basketball court and gym .. 17th Feb 2023 we were back again for community health and wellbeing event.. which was attended will by the local community members .. hoping for doing more regular events

Fantastic experience: The owners are amazing! They support sport and activity and local organisations in Brent including the basketball club I founded Brent Bulls! Nice facilities and always something to get involved in. Highly recommend this place. Thank you Charteris and the team.

Negative experience: Tried to book a badminton court and had to ring, email and text multiple times just to get a booking. I specifically confirmed this booking twice and when we turned up the court was double booked. No-one was there to shed any light on the matter and any calls weren’t answered. Waste of time.

Fantastic experience: Charteris is a gem of a gym and sports centre ! Although it is smaller, it has all the facilities you need, runs a good range of classes including a brilliant over 50s circuit training class on a Friday evening and an excellent Pilates class on a Sunday morning and its great for badminton too! It is also much friendlier and more relaxed than most sports centres and has a real sense of community about it. No monthly charges- just pay as you go, so you don't pay for what you don't use. Fantastic!

Fantastic experience: Great centre, nice and clean and very friendly staff. Doesn`t have that awful anonymous corporate feel some gyms have. Fantastc zumba classes on Tue and Sat, have been going for years...

Fantastic experience: Charteris is a community spirited sports centre that caters for all ages. A wide variety of activities take place here from Basketball, Karate, Pilates, Zumba, over 50s and Personal training, The space is also used for children's parties and other group orientated activities. A great place to be involved in, with a price bracket that doesn't dent the pocket!.

Fantastic experience: After retiring from work my Doctor diagnosed me with Type 2 Diabetes and prescribed medication (MetFormin tablets). He advised me to exercise and to lose weight. I joined my local Charteris gym and the free weekly Over 50s Keep Fit session where I received a warm welcome and made new friends. Charteris is a community-based not for profit centre run by committed and hardworking Director Lloyd and colleagues who have developed a popular programme of activities for a diverse neighbourhood. After 6 months attending Charteris my Doctor tested me again and found that my health had improved and that I had lost weight. He told me that I no longer had Diabetes and stopped my medication. I will continue to use the Charteris Gym and to attend the weekly Over 50s sessions as it helps me to keep fit, lose weight, improve my health and hopefully live longer!
