Fantastic experience: I have been a member for about 3-years now and the gym keeps getting better. The new spa is absolutely amazing and way better than expected!! Good variety of classes for kids and adults. The staff are very friendly and most of them look genuinely happy to work there. Love the DL Kids staff - they're all great with the kids. Charlotte (she's just lovely) and Craig for Blaze are the best. Shweta for yoga is brilliant. The sound bath meditation class is very special and we are lucky to have this. My favourite class is Gym Floor 30, but unfortunately it's impossible to get booked on due to high demand. The food in the club lounge is very average, decent for breakfast and drinks, but not a lot else in my opinion. I would love to eat there more, but too many disappointing meals.

Fantastic experience: The membership is expensive for the gym and pool, but omg the new spa is so amazing. Makes it all well worth the money!

Negative experience: Very disappointed. Having been a member for nearly a year now and waited 7 months for the new spa retreat and now can’t use it cos I’m under 18 ( I’m 17 and 1/2 ) is of great frustration. The fact I was able to use the steam room, sauna, jacuzzi etc before the update when I was 16, but now can’t because a secluded spa retreat is in place is beyond belief. The staff are friendly and kind which is one positive, aswell as the gym being well-equipped, however this rule regards to the spa retreat is unacceptable. I’m still having to pay £85 and only able to use the gym? If I knew the case with the spa retreat beforehand I would have left ages ago. I am considering escalating this to senior David Lloyd management.

Fantastic experience: I recently had the pleasure of visiting the David Lloyd Club in Woking, and I must say, their spa experience was absolutely outstanding. From the moment I arrived, I was made to feel like a VIP. The staff were warm, welcoming, and attentive, setting the tone for a truly indulgent day. The facilities were pristine and thoughtfully designed to provide the ultimate in relaxation and rejuvenation. I particularly enjoyed the variety on offer, from the steam room to the hot sauna, both of which provided a perfect escape from the stresses of everyday life. The cold therapy was a refreshing and invigorating experience that left me feeling energised and clear-headed. The standout for me, though, was the Amethyst steam room. Its soothing atmosphere, gentle steam, and stunning aesthetic created a completely serene experience. It was the perfect environment to unwind, clear my thoughts, and fully relax. Every aspect of my visit to David Lloyd Woking’s spa reflected exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to quality. Whether you're looking for a moment of calm or a luxurious treat, I couldn’t recommend their spa services more highly. I’m already looking forward to my next visit!

Fantastic experience: Club and staff are all amazing, the sign up was a breeze thanks to Kim we have felt very welcomed and pampered thank you very kindly! Would recommend to anyone considering joining (but please don’t because we want the spa all to ourselves lol)

Fantastic experience: I’ve just been lucky enough to be given early access to the brand new luxury spa at David Lloyd Woking and oh my goodness it has by far exceeded all expectations! The club even before the spa was built was amazing, but now the spa is here the club is even more amazing! Immaculately finished and a lot bigger than I ever expected!

Fantastic experience: Brilliant gym. All the staff are so lovely and friendly. They have done a great job with the recent refurbishment and having just visited the new Spa Retreat - it’s stunning! The variety of steam/sauna/cold rooms makes a real difference and is definitely somewhere you can truly relax after a hard workout or stressful day. It’s nicer than some spas I’ve been to in high end hotels. Shout out to Kim, the Sales Manager, she is lovely and super helpful and Charlotte is a brilliant PT, great balance of knowledge, encouragement and fun!

Fantastic experience: I recently had a great experience at the spa in David Lloyd, and I can't recommend it enough. The spa’s ambiance is perfect—tranquil and beautifully designed, the ideal escape from daily stresses. The range of facilities is impressive, and everyone will be able to find their own favourite. The Himalayan salt sauna was a highlight for me, with its “salt wall”, as well as “Fire & Ice”, where you can combine steamy environment with ice rubs. Not to mention the plunge pool and the large Jacuzzi… I left feeling so relaxed, I can’t wait for my next visit

Fantastic experience: I've been a member for a couple of years, and really enjoyed the classes. Occasionally a month would easily go by and I hadn't visited. However, since starting PT sessions with Tash, I've been really consistent with my training and am loving the changes! I am so much stronger and more confident in the gym. Tash's sessions are never boring, and I can see progress in myself. Tash also helps with diet tips and suggestions for workouts on days I visit in between PT sessions.

Fantastic experience: I booked a tour online, and George showed me round. I was instantly a huge fan of the place, and decided to sign up. A super easy and enjoyable process, and a big thank you to George for the great tour and fluid sign-up process - top guy!

Fantastic experience: Woking has such friendly and “clubby” feel to it from the moment you walk in. Myself and my children love the club, so many fun activities and different types of sessions for them to enjoy in the DL Kids classes. They also take part each week doing some swimming lessons which are so well structured, and my older son also does some tennis lessons each week too which he absolutely loves! It really is a second home for them. It also gives me so much time to enjoy some child free time by going to my weekly Blaze class followed by a more relaxed Spirit Sound Meditation class afterwards. I’ve also recently started taking some Personal Training sessions. I’m an individual who hasn’t really indulged much in a gym before, but from the moment I arrived, my PT has made me feel so welcome and given me a safe, judge free environment while guiding me through the exercises . Thank you to everyone at the Woking club for making myself and my family feel so welcome. P.S, cannot wait for the new Spa to open!!!!

Positive experience: Currently 4 stars because they have still closed off the pool and sauna (opening soon though so I will come back to this!) but otherwise a great gym. Staff are very kind and welcoming. The equipment is fantastic and the gym is never packed even during peak hours. The cafe also has great food and an adults only seating area (can't tell you enough how good that is). Will try the tennis courts soon but I've already heard good things!

There are quite a few who have been with the club for many years, which is always a great sign of a well-run facility. These long-standing team members, many of whom I now recognise by name, are incredibly approachable. No matter what you need—whether it's a quick tip on how to use a piece of equipment, assistance with booking a class, or just a friendly chat—they’re always willing to help. The level of customer service here is consistent, and it adds a really personal touch to the whole gym experience. The gym equipment itself is state-of-the-art. From free weights to cardio machines and resistance training, the variety is immense, and everything is well-maintained. I've noticed they keep up with new trends in fitness, frequently introducing modern equipment to ensure members have access to the latest equipment for their workouts. Whether you're a seasoned gym-goer or someone just starting, there's something for everyone. The machines are intuitive, and for those unfamiliar with certain equipment, the staff are more than willing to guide you through it. One of the things I appreciate the most is that, despite its popularity, the gym is never overly busy. I've been to gyms before where it feels like you're constantly waiting for a machine or a space to work out, but that has never been an issue at David Lloyd. There’s always room to get in a good session, even during peak times. This makes it easy to stick to your fitness routine, and you never feel rushed or crowded. The gym layout itself is spacious, which contributes to this relaxed atmosphere. Another aspect that makes the gym experience enjoyable is the community vibe. The other members are friendly, and in many ways, it feels more like a social club than just a gym. It’s common to see people exchanging fitness tips or simply having a chat in between sets. I've made several friends here, and we often share workout ideas or discuss our progress. It’s refreshing to be in a space where everyone is supportive, regardless of their fitness level. This social dynamic adds an extra layer of motivation for coming to the gym, as it's not just about working out, but also about connecting with like-minded people. A special shout-out goes to Susan Powell, who is always a familiar face around the gym. Despite having been there for many years, she's still seen walking around, tidying up weights and ensuring the equipment is in order. It's the little things like this that make a big difference. Susan’s dedication and attention to detail really help maintain the high standards that David Lloyd is known for. She’s always smiling, approachable, and adds to the positive energy that makes the gym such a welcoming place. All in all, my time at David Lloyd has been a truly positive experience. From the approachable and experienced staff to the state-of-the-art equipment and friendly members, it’s more than just a place to work out—it’s a community. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a gym that offers not only fitness but also a warm, welcoming atmosphere.

Positive experience: It’s a very nice gym with clean and great facilities. But one of the main reasons I signed up was the classes. However they are always fully booked or at times that aren’t available for those who work. Haven’t been able to get to a class in month which makes the fee less worthwhile.

Fantastic experience: I joined this summer since the clubs have had a major renovation. I was a member for many years but left a few years ago as I felt I wasn’t getting the most out of a pricier membership. I play a lot of tennis and swim mostly and so now the clubs offer the spa attachment too (or are about to in some places), I’m loving it. I must put a special mention out to Krish in membership who helped me and has been so good with any queries I’ve had whilst figuring out the new clubs style. A huge thanks to Lewis the head tennis coach who I’ve been having 1-2-1 lessons too, he’s amazing and my tennis has come such a long way in a short time.

Fantastic experience: Recently signed up to David Loyd Woking, And was speaking to LUCY via email to arrange a tour etc, She was super helpful as I couldn’t arrange via phone call due to my job situation And she couldn’t of been more accommodating She then gave us a tour, and made us very comfortable and explained everything to me in detail, I am a autistic adult so this was again very appreciated, I was then stressing about signing up and how to work out the membership and she spoke through everything and explained the diffrent prices and helped me apply my blue light discount aswell, More places need more people like Lucy I hate change, but this felt really good for once! But Kim & Krish collaboratively showed me the club with insights about my health and how to improve my fitness and lifestyle in general. They showed me the plans with the £4 million investment of which I had no idea about. With that I was immediately sold and it justified the price massively! Make sure you look out for the incoming Spa Retreat. I also spoke to Scott from the Tennis team who was so helpful and re sparked my interest in Tennis. I have just began my Free Personal Training sessions of which I got when I joined and those are super helpful. Thank you Krish for calling me to Kickstart this journey!

Fantastic experience: I can't recommend Krish enough as a sales rep. He is not only exceptionally knowledgeable about the human body, but he also has a unique talent for helping clients understand theirs. I came to him suffering from severe sciatica pain, and his advice has been nothing short of transformative. Krish’s recommendations not only alleviated my pain but also allowed me to strengthen my body to the point where I am now living painkiller-free. Krish is incredibly friendly, supportive and motivating, always ensuring that I'm progressing safely and effectively. Whether you're dealing with chronic pain or just looking to get fit, speaking with Krish will help you set up a plan to achieve your goals and improve your quality of life. Highly recommended!

Fantastic experience: I wanted to commend Krish who assisted us with all our questions about joining. He was very transparent about the upcoming work and showed us the videos of what the club will look like. He was honest and open even saw us when we didn’t have an appointment. He is a credit to DL. Matt is also amazing. Very helpful, knowledgeable and goes out of way to assist. A great team member and DL are lucky to have him working for them.

Negative experience: Seem to make if difficult for members to get in touch with queries (not at club level but overall David Lloyd ‘contact us’ approach) which is letting down the great customer service provided at the club. Have to send chasers to in app messages and often don’t get a reply unless you email direct to the club - which is contra to their advice on how to contact them. Head Office should review this - it’s letting the whole customer experience down.

Negative experience: I joined the gym in December with high expectations, particularly looking forward to using the spa facilities. Unfortunately, I was not informed that major renovation works would be taking place for several months, rendering the spa unusable. This has been quite disappointing. Additionally, I have reached out multiple times via email and the app to inquire about the possibility of using spa facilities at neighboring gyms during this period, but I have yet to receive a response. I hope the communication and transparency improve in the future.

Fantastic experience: David Lloyd is excellent. Reception are very helpful and the Blaze classes are great, all the instructors are brilliant. Sue is always helpful and friendly when you see her around the club.

Fantastic experience: Great PT session with Jonathan today. He’s so encouraging and during the session gives lots of hints and tips for when I do a session on my own. Pushes me to go a bit further each time which really helps when I use the gym myself. He makes the sessions fun by trying new things each time and is great at suggesting exercises that help with any weaknesses.
