Fantastic experience: Lovely place to workout, lovely trainers

Fantastic experience: What more do you want? Not expensive. Good vibes. Not too busy. Great equipment.

Positive experience: No more paper towels available for the customers to use. I have to come with my own paper towels to disinfect the machines before usage or after workout. This issue has been here for almost a month and staff have no idea why. An equipped gym WILL ALWAYS have the right facilities!

Negative experience: My code never works, and I know I'm not the only one, I was planning on getting a membership for late nights as its cheap, but driving 30 mins to stand infront of the door with a dud code isn't really worth the time or money. Also there doesn't seem to be much in the way of free weights

Fantastic experience: This is my go to gym. It's always clean and you will always see the staff going round cleaning ect. I like that it's open 24 hours as it suits the how's I do at work. The price is very competitive and they have a great range of equipment.

Positive experience: Clean Gym, friendly helpful staff, good variety of equipment and classes. Well priced membership prices. My only criticism is the classes shown at 8pm make it difficult for off peak members to attend as they can’t enter the gym again until 8pm and by that time the class has started.. can a thought be put to those classes starting at 8.15pm to allow off peak members access.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been going to The Gym for 4 years now and I can’t say anything bad about it. I joined just before Covid and when they were able to reopen. They protected us as much as they could. The gym remains very clean and well maintained. It is rare to see a piece of equipment out of order. All the staff are friendly and give a warm welcome when you see them. Classes are good with a huge variety. I’ve been training with Charlotte O’Farrell a PT there for almost 3 year later - the transformation in me physically and mentally is immeasurable. I’ve moved jobs and the gym is much further for me but I would not go anywhere else. I could not recommend this gym enough.

Positive experience: The staff are all basically self employed and have to make money by giving personal pt sessions that you pay for. I have worked for 2 large gym groups and know how much money they make and so I feel this is an absolute liberty what this company is doing to there staff. The staff work hard cleaning the equipment for free and doing free classes ! Come on Gym Group pay them what they deserve and then let them keep there personal session money. That's almost illegal what your doing to them. The customers know all this as 2 staff members who have now left told us all at the end of a class session on 2 separate occasions. The equipment is at a basic level and most of it has never been updated. The running machines and cross trainers I think are the ones from the old Fitness First days. However it all works and is regularly maintained. The gym is always clean with some very faint background music on. If you know what your doing and go in and get on with it then this gym is perfect. I would rate this gym higher but I hate companies taking advantage of staff.

Fantastic experience: For the price, it can't be beat. Friendly and unpretentious gym. Great range of equipment and easy to use. Staff are usually always on hand if you need any help. The only thing I find is that it's too easy to catch your fingers in the main entrance door due to the handle design. Otherwise, I can't fault it. Keep it up, guys!

Fantastic experience: Nice and easy, we commute from bexhill to use this gym. The only annoying thing is that the qr code is very temperamental for entry, which can leave you standing there searching for your pin number.

Fantastic experience: Been using The Gym Group Eastbourne for a couple of years now and really enjoy it. Staff are all friendly, approachable and helpful. There is a eide variety of equipment and machine's available to use. The facilities are always clean. There are lots of Personal trainers offering bespoke service taylored to your needs. I also love that its a pin entry system and open 24/7 as I always used to loose my card at other gyms ‍♀️.

Fantastic experience: Very handy gym 10 minutes away from home. So many cardio machines to use and lots of great weight training machines available too. Staff are always really friendly and helpful, and having lots of PTs on hand makes it easier to sign up with one when you need the extra push! Gym is kept clean and tidy and access is super easy for any time of day you wish, so very useful when you have flexible working patterns.

Fantastic experience: I love going to The Gym, it’s one of the few gyms I don’t feel self conscious in, everyone is so lovely and the staff are so friendly and helpful

Fantastic experience: I love the circuits, LBT and body conditioning classes and actually get pretty down if my schedule clashes mean I miss a class that week. Only qualm would be that I wish there were more throughout the week.

Fantastic experience: The Gym @ Eastbourne is a great place to train. The people and staff are friendly too. Claire, who is a PT, has also been amazingly helpful and I previously had some personal training sessions with her. She really knows what she's talking about and I now use some of her taught exercises for my own personal gym sessions now. I would recommend The Gym to anyone.

Fantastic experience: I used to be so anxious going into the gym but since having my amazing personal trainer Claire Harrison I’m no longer anxious to begin with I made Claire meet me by the doors as I came in whereas now I have the confidence to go in on my own and start warming up before my pt session not only is she getting me into shape Claire is also becoming an amazing friend I couldn’t be more pleased with my experience

Fantastic experience: This is a no nonsense gym, you pay a monthly subscription (check website for deals) no contract, leave when you want. Great facilities, immaculate inside, well placed cleaning points so you're never far from a station. Open plan mostly with free WiFi, toilets and shower with disabled access. The showers are clean with an average water pressure and auto cut off with a good degree of heat, 6 to 8 private cubicles with plenty of room to change/get dried off in. Open 24hours with staff, I belive, working up till 2200hrs then the cleaner takes over watch, however they do have remote access through CCTV which can be monitored remotely. Vending machines with a collection of food and drink, cleaning spray and paper towels to wipe down equipment. Upstairs you also have the fitness class suite, a selection of bikes and runners, with a weight area off set with a mirrored wall. Classes are often and varied (well worth a look into) Overall an affordable gym experience, very clean, great layout, free WiFi, 24hr access, with good changing and shower facilities, why pay more for gimmicks, gym-train-shower-go!

Positive experience: Been going to the gym for a few months now, sadly the app does not often work to allow entry, some of the air con units don't work or leak water so you'll find buckets on the floor. Classes are either always full or on some week days hardly any available as no staff. Not enough staff to hold more classes.

Positive experience: Good, clean gym overall and the staff are friendly. Lots of equipment this gym is big and offers free classes. Only downside is mens showers are a bit grubby and too many people not wiping equipment after use.

Negative experience: Member since 2016 was told once about face covering which I do use its a disgrace of a company to email me to say your membership has been cancelled due to face covering there are plenty of people walking around with no face covering and apparently told twice in December no one said anything to me in December but there were 2 emails about repeated warning can't talk to you face to face but if that's how they treat there members then no more and more businesses like the gym group will lose more customers disgrace.

Negative experience: im membership from 5 years in the gym group i was so meny the gym group.and so happy . but in Eastbourne the gym group. the manager its so arogant person . the ferst day 1 minutes i was forgot mask in my pocket. to put on my face .he come to me angry complain. i say im sorry i was forget .he say the next time Ill stop your membership. today morning he stpo my membership. i just knock to the to him the reason he come out site like Arrogant manager il pay regularly 26£ every month from my debit card. the gym.group its lovely. but the manager its Arrogant person.

Positive experience: I went there to inquire about membership and was greeted by a very friendly and helpful staff member. He showed me around and explained how various pieces of the gym equipment functioned etc. We also spoke about membership options. A good experience all round.

Positive experience: open planned gym which never seems to be to busy. always find it difficult to get on the weight lifting machine though perhaps they need to buy another as this machine is popular. always lovely and clean though

Negative experience: The equipment is standard missing incline and decline bench press, their app doesn’t work nor does the website it’s almost impossible to get in touch with them or cancel your membership I would not advise signing up to them use a local gym you most likely have a better one

Positive experience: Plenty of parking and a few shops locally if you forget your water or gym kit.. Clean and plenty of machines when I went midday-ish on a free trial. I would ideally like the instructors to mooch about and talk and give advice but wasnt any about. I think they do classes and they must be ok as always see plenty of people coming and going.

Fantastic experience: I've been going to gyms for over 30 yrs. Switched here about 6 months ago. Modern, well equipped, well maintained gym. Mixture of exercise machines, weight machines, free weights and an exercise studio. No frills, so no sauna or swimming pool but this is reflected in the price. Amazing value for membership. And it's open 24/7. Classes are free to members. I've done a few now. Really good classes across the day and evening. Changing rooms are always clean and everything works. Some machine vending only, no cafe. Parking opposite which is a bit unnecessary, (should be cycling to the gym, 'surely' ?!). Cycle racks available. This gym is just a gym, not a health club, but it is very well equipped, clean, modern, great staff, amazing value.
