Positive experience: Great gym! Lovely atmosphere! Only criticism is that the music recently is awful used to be banging (about a month or 2 ago and before) but now its not as hard and not motivating.

Negative experience: Rude, I rang up on the 24th of June 2024 at 6:03pm to ask if there hiring or not and the man on reception just put the phone straight down on me

Fantastic experience: Great place, friendly atmosphere and friendly people. The staff are all great and Personal Trainers are always there and very knowledgeable. Also free parking which is fantastic. You can do every sort of training and it caters for all abilities.

Fantastic experience: An amazing gym with fantastic staff and personal trainers! I’ve NEVER been the type to say I’m a ‘gym person’, but this is the first place I’ve ever felt so welcomed and comfortable! There such a good range of equipment, with clear instructions and handy guides that even a novice like me can follow. The atmosphere and those that attend are all incredibly welcoming and helpful. I’ve been going for months (which is a miracle anyway) and don’t intend on stopping! Honestly the best gym you could attend!

Fantastic experience: Visited for the first time recently for a one off session. Couldn’t fault the gym. Wasn’t busy, but that may be due to being a Sunday. But i like the layout, as well as loads of good machines and great staff.

Negative experience: Nice gym but overpriced unfortunately im from hinckley, compared to other gyms in that area its allot more cheaper. Bit feedback: The week passes are really expensive and having to buy into a contract to have this cheaper the idea wasnt great having to commit to one specific place doesnt work for me. I also found while i was there it seems the gym is known as clicky gym atmosphere is made for the usual crowds at no point i felt like its gym for my self. However, i wish you all the best hope you take some consideration when reading this review as ive figured when it comes to negative comments it seems to be thrown of context.

Negative experience: Really enjoyed my time @iron generation but unfortunately the price is way to steap considering otfer gyms are under £20 a month. Thanks for 12 months but based on price cost of living definitely else where. Some pointers membership way to high what gym offers, for the price your wanting i would expect far more no way matches the gym its self. Allot people at the gym have also mentioned this the gym simply doesnt listen seems greed.

Fantastic experience: Never really been a gym goer but I’ve been through a few. Until I got to the IGG… the facility is great with all the kit you could ask for. The staff are friendly, helpful and approachable. And the atmosphere of respect with the other members is really really helpful, especially if you’re new to the gym. Go and try it

Fantastic experience: Proper old school bodybuilding gym. Has a lot of equipment especially for the size. Has strong man equipment, strength training and even has few punchbags. They have antibacterial sanitising stations dotted around also you can get your own clean towel and bottle to use before and after you use the equipment. This is a proper gym for people that want to train and reach their goals. Staff are friendly. You can see the equipment helps to reach peoples goals just by looking at the people that attend the gym.

Fantastic experience: An absolute gem! I walked through the doors of IGG in March this year to meet my PT, Adam. I was nervous beyond belief. However, I had no reason to be. The IGG team are super supportive and welcoming regardless of your ability. The gym offers a range of equipment to suit all and the members will always help you if needed. I have grown in confidence which has enabled me to go to the gym alone as well as continuing my PT sessions. I have made progress beyond any of my expectations and I feel part of something incredible. Additional bonuses are parking is available and it's great value for money! Highly recommended!!

Negative experience: Tried to ring up and get a one day free pass to try the gym out Monday 16th May 7pm but was told sorry we don’t do a free pass to try the gym out! All the main gyms in Hinckley do no problem! Terrible customer service how can you sign up for a gym if you can’t try it out!

Negative experience: Very poor how they really expect you to pay £27 and non dd of £36 for what they have is rediuclous went inn the equipment is trashed I don't think there's any value in what you pay for far better gyms out there for allot more lower! Going into £14.99 or £18.00 a month is far more cleaner than what the iron generation has to offer for value for money not my sort of thing.

Fantastic experience: Great to be back in the gym and it feels normal. You get to carry around your own spray and cloth to ensure you're cleaning down the equipment afterwards. I go out of peak time and it was relatively quiet with only a handful of people. A really good first trip

Negative experience: I called up to ask about times and prices as I could not find the prices on the website, some lady answered the phone was rude and dismissive couldn’t wait to get me of the phone sounded like she was stoned speaking like she was punch drunk totally put off shame because it look like a really good gym

Fantastic experience: If you’re serious about training, this is the place to go. I’m not local I just wanted to get a quick gym session in whilst working away, what a treat I managed to find after a days graft! The environment totally gets you in the right zone, all the equipment is heavy duty and feels great, great music, even some unique strongman equipment to have a go with and was encouraged to pull out and use anything I fancied. Was made to feel totally at home by all the staff who were extremely polite to me, and even spoke to a few people training in the gym who were all very friendly. I live 2.5hrs drive away and if I get a quiet day one weekend I will genuinely come back down just to train here again. 10/10 from me, don’t have a bad word to say about it. Thanks for having me guys

Fantastic experience: Amazing place for wicked workout, this place has got soul, some of the equipment got a bit of rust but I love it when it's like that, it got that feel about it. Friendly staff, great loud music. Just a great atmosphere. I used to go to snap fitness which is just another gym chain, this one was made with love and passion which you can feel when you in there.

It's easy to feel intimidated by the very muscle-y and fit people there as I am a shorter and rounder person but everyone's so friendly here it feels like a family, we're having a laugh and doing our thing. Positive experience: Really nice, well equipped and friendly gym. Four stars because I thought the weight stacks could have been a wee a bit closer to the leg press etc. It's only a minor quibble. Because I often do legs last I found it quite a haul to pick up (in my case) 400+ lbs, load it onto the machine, do my exercise and then unload and then carry it all back. Maybe I should do legs first :)

Fantastic experience: Came down with the Mrs as our current gyms don't accommodate for training legs how we want to train them. We loved it, atmosphere is just how you want a gym. Everyone has gym etiquette and no machines are left plate loaded. I'd recommend it to anyone who wants to train in a real gym. They have good equipment down there and plenty of plates. We are coming down every Sunday for our leg sessions ✌

Negative experience: Really bad dirty allowing animals to run around! People there are nasty bot the best place to come. I wouldn't say come to simply gym in Hinckley loads better memberships are cheap they won't kneecap you in the balls for missing a payment 25 can then onto 45 on a missed payment. I've been going to simply gym for ages now best gym to come too.

Fantastic experience: Right I'm gonna try and keep it short n sweet here. Hands down the best gym in Leicestershire. Having been to Warehouse Leicester, Simply Gym, Pure Gym & Empire fitness, Iron Gen stands in a league of its own. Music is loud and upbeat, keeps you motivated throughout the workout, staff are real friendly and will offer any advice/techniques that they think will help you progress, as well as having a laugh during the session. In terms of kit, you need nothing else. Plenty of Benches, Squat Racks, Cables, various machines & 2 deadlift mats, as well as dumbells that range from 2kg to 115kg. There's also a sled track and... cardio machines. (if you're into that type of thing) Overall, top stuff. Won't be going anywhere else unless I have to.

Fantastic experience: I joined this gym in January. The staff and owners are very friendly and do anything for you regarding training routines, diet plans etc. and all for £25 a month! Personal trainers are always on hand for information/new routines. Always clean, music's motivational, and caters for all - from bodybuilding to strongman, to MMA/boxers, to beginners. Plenty of cardio too. All in all, it's the best gym I've ever been a member of!

Fantastic experience: Best gym I've ever trained in I walked into this gym after 2 years off due to appendix op I'd put a lot of weight on n the guys down at iron generation was so welcoming n help me with diet and getting my motivation back for the love of training, I've seen a few bad reviews on here and on about going to other gym in the area that's up to you, but iron generation is great friendly place

Fantastic experience: Brilliant gym, not filled with shiny chrome but has everything you need. Has all sorts of people training there, but everyone is friendly and will say hello. Staff always happy to offer help and advice. Having looked through the reviews and read a few of the negative all I can say is "have they actually been?" No its not simply gym it's not a place to go and do the same cardio for years and get no results. My wife and I train regularly here and have even taken our son. If you don't like gyms with friendly, approachable staff and members go elsewhere.

Fantastic experience: The Iron Generation Gym is one of the best gyms I have ever been to. It is not a chain or franchise like a lot of the other gyms that are in the same area. It is independently ran by 2 friends (and their families) who dedicate their lives to providing the best service they can in the area and catering to their customers needs at the lowest price possible. Visiting a new gym is always daunting whether you're experienced or a newbie, but the staff and other gym members make you feel welcome. They're knowledgable and always willing to help individuals whatever their goals. A significant thing that makes IGG stand out is that compared to other independent "bodybuilding" labelled gyms, it has a significant amount of female members, which is ever growing. The gym has a variety of equipment - Strongman, free weights, fixed machines, TRX, cardio & more. They have an array of supplements for sale for pre/post workout all at very reasonable prices. Music is always loud and motivating. If it is not to your taste and you prefer something else, the staff have a playlist for it and all you have to do is ask. A super gym all round!

Fantastic experience: I trust while you look through the Google reviews you can immediately spot the obvious attempts at corporate sabotage at hand and decipher what's "real" and "fake". Name dropping other Gyms and leaving a incredibly low score in order to ruin the Google reputation is extremely poor form and renders this whole process inert as you, the reader, will have no real reviews to make a decision. If you're thinking of trying this gym out I suggest that you use the social media to complete your online research and maybe drop in the gym to meet the team. The Iron Generation Gym has a brilliant atmosphere, excellent kit and a friendly environment. If it's not for you - then please leave honest feedback so they can develop and grow. Then take the time to train another INDEPENDENT gym in the area such as Bodywise or Empire Fitness to name two.

Negative experience: I wanted to try another gym due to membership fees going up. I thought giving this gym a go but unfortunately it wasn't for me when I was there this is how I felt... I felt threatened as it feels it's a bodybuilding gym regardless what they say I also saw people have things they shouldn't be taking over also felt like it really daunting experience in that gym it was going to a new school again! My suggestion to the people who own it I would definitely look what's going on in your gym I won't be returning till things are better I've decided to join simply gym instead!
