Fantastic experience: Not only is this the best spa in Lancashire. The whole management team and staff are absolutely incredible! As soon as you walk through the door you get a warm welcome. And the facilities are just heaven! You can stay for the day, or book a few days break! What a wonderful way to pamper yourself or friends and family. Everyone will feel immediately blissed out in their spa area. With heated beds, Stunning pool! high or low pressure hydrotherapy, sauna and stream room. Not to mention the outdoor jacuzzi, alfresco dining, beauty and spa treatment area. Plus a fully equipped gym! I can’t wait to go again. And take the girls for a weekend stay! The fully equipped rooms are pure luxury! Sign me up!! I’m completely sold! You have to visit to believe.. Trust me! You will return and return.

Fantastic experience: Well, what a fantastic rest myself (Cam) and my friend Lucy had at our over night stay! We was first greeted by the lovely assistant manager Josie, she was just amazing and took us straight to our room which led us to a beautiful well presented apartment with two double rooms fantastically cleaned and a bottle of Prosecco as a welcome drink in the fridge. We then proceeded to the spa facilities prior to our treatments and they were very very clean a little busy at times however it is a spa facility and shows how good it is, we have been to many facilities before and this is by far one of the best I would say boutique spa places that I would strongly recommend! The treatments were just fantastic. The girls there were great with great pressure on a full body massage alongside a 25 minute facial. We had an afternoon tea at AJ’s bistro and I can honestly say we enjoyed every mouthful! Thank you, Josie and the team for a wonderful experience myself and Lucy will be returning soon and anyone who has a bad word to say I just think a boutique spa is not for you!

Negative experience: I have always enjoyed my treatments and time at Stocks Hall. Unfortunately this afternoon's treatment was a disappointment . To have a massage l would have expected to have the room warm sadly it was not. I explained to the therapist I felt cold and all she did was to put the heated bed on. ...What a shame it was such disappointment.

Fantastic experience: Took my mum on an indulgence spa day today. Was a superb day , great facilities , food , treatments and service ! Very clean and would highly recommend . Lovely lady called Kim at the bistro was particularly pleasant. Thank - you

Positive experience: I have left a detailed review on trip advisor as I think this spa is overpriced The Woodlands Spa in Burnley is far superior and much better value for money I do not think Stocks Hall deserves a 9.6 spa rating

Fantastic experience: Very nice Relaxing time sitting around the Pool. Also using Vitality Pool & Sauna. Very busy Wednesday 27th December 2023. Usually much quiter in the Week, when Visitors for the Spa are at Lunch. Very Good Gym and Outside Hot Tub also Steam Room.

Fantastic experience: Fabulous spa and facilities and ideal for a civilised hen do with afternoon tea. Facilities were relaxing (treatment rooms, relaxation room, sauna and steam room, outside hot tub, heated loungers and pool) and staff lovely. Ordering to your lounger or hot tub by use of QR code was genius The afternoon tea spread with additional festive treats was superb, so much food we had little take home boxes. Would not hesitate to take friends back there

Negative experience: This morning I attended Stocks Hall Breakfast not up to usual standards Smaller Atmosphere too busy not a pleasant experience Complained to Duty Manager Unfortunately I upset a junior member of staff I apologized and said send on apologies Duty Manager doing her work on a laptop in the Bistro eating area Not very professional Apparently she has not got an office Unfortunately I won’t return Don’t attend on a Wednesday I doubt they want my business anyway Best regards

Positive experience: Went to this spa this weekend, thought it was lovely as we were dealing with lovely Natalie, who was excellent and very helpful however everyone else was terrified by seeing brown people amongst them. That was disheartening and would hope for a more inclusive experience next time

Fantastic experience: I have attended Spa's across Europe, UAE and the UK. Stocks Halls is definitely 2nd to none and up there amongst the best. From start to finish, the service was impeccable. All the staff were sweet, professional, and very welcoming. Definitely will be going again.

Fantastic experience: had a fabulous day from start to finish. each member of staff was very welcoming and friendly and helpful. the spa itself is absolutely beautiful and so tranquil. I enjoyed a spa day, so I decided I would spend the morning by the pool, enjoying the sauna, steam room, hot tub, water jets, heated loungers, and a swim. for lunch, I was booked in for afternoon tea, and every bit was mouthwatering. Then, for the afternoon, I enjoyed my treatments. The therapist who did my treatments was amazing. she made me so relaxed and comfortable and did an amazing job. I honestly cannot recommend stocks hall spa enough. I will definitely hurry back again. thank you to the whole team, especially my therapist.

Fantastic experience: Me and my Mum have just arrived home from a spa day at Stockhall Spa and I wanted to take the time to leave a review after a wonderful day there. I’ve worked in the Beauty Industry for 13 years and manage a salon and finding a Spa that leaves you feeling this good is hard to come by. When we arrived we was greeted promptly by reception staff who took the time to have a little chat with us about our Christmas and show us around the spa. The facilities and pool are absolutely lovely. The indoor pool area is large, spotlessly clean and it wasn’t too busy to the point you couldn’t be comfortable. The drinks to the pool area is something I’ve not come across in many spas and was a lovely touch. The showers, changing areas and toilets are all so clean and again the cleanest I’ve come across even compared to some large well known spas. The chill out area before treatments is really relaxing and we loved a few minutes in there before our treatments. My therapist introduced herself and I’ll definitely remember her name as she was fantastic. I didn’t feel rushed she did a gorgeous treatment. She made sure I was comfortable, warm and then made sure every inch of me was covered and cosy. All these little touches really make a therapist stand out. We then dined in the Bistro and it was amazing. The staff again were all lovely, polite and talkative. The food was delicious, a generous size and the staff quickly cleared everything away. I’ve honestly not been this impressed with somewhere in a long time and find it hard to relax having treatments with doing it for my job but not this time. The only thing I would suggest would to maybe offer an aftercare menu with what products have been used so clients could purchase, I know Natural Spa Factory was used but would love to know the name of the cleanser as it smelt incredible. Also when we arrived no robes was available which wasn’t really a big deal but being 7 months pregnant I did feel a bit self conscious in a little towel so had to ask for a second large one. These are only two tiny details that did not impact our day at all. We absolutely loved it and can’t wait to return. Thank you.

Fantastic experience: Fantastic couple night away! All staff were fantastic special shout out to bar staff Oliver who couldn’t do enough for us and chef bez who made delicious vegan meals. The rooms are huge! Only criticism is that Room 14 was quite noisy from what we think was the hot tub generator (not very relaxing) so perhaps ask for another room if Available. Overall Highly recommend and would be back!

Fantastic experience: Just returned from a girlie weekend away. We had a brilliant time at the spa and stayed overnight in one of their lovely apartments. The whole place is beautiful and we couldnt fault anything. The staff were so professional and friendly they really went above and beyond for us. Cant wait to visit again. X

Fantastic experience: Enjoyed a very relaxing facial and will be returning again. From first communication to the day itself we were looked after and accommodating a wheelchair user was not an issue at all. Meal in Bistro was lovely too. All staff members we saw were friendly & professional. Definitely be back for another relaxing experience.

Positive experience: So close but so far away. My husband and I went today. On arrival we stood at reception, there were two staff members with their backs to us talking between themselves, after a few minutes I got their attention and we were booked in briefly, no welcome, have you been before etc, just asked our name and told to sit down in the bar area for breakfast. We were served pastries and coffee that were both very nice however we weren’t given any plates or napkins. I had to get the attention of someone to ask for napkins and we were brought flimsy thin paper ones. The pastries came piled on a plate on one of the said napkins and the napkin was stuck to the pastries. On to the spa. We were told to wait in the waiting room but weren’t actually shown where it was! Then we had to fill in a load of details that they should have had already from our booking. Facilities were all very nice although there was only one drinking fountain by the pool, no water machine in the changing rooms. First treatment was very nice, the staff seemed young and inexperienced at speaking to clients though. Lunch was tasty but portions were enormous! Bar area very informal. There was only one set of cutlery even though lunch was 2 courses so I had to ask for more when my main came. No Diet Coke/ coke zero, only full fat. Afternoon treatments were 10 minutes late. We saw our therapists arriving back from their lunch breaks (at the time we were meant to start), the staff room is right by the waiting area?! Treatment was nice. When finished I was advised to get a drink of water and wait in the waiting area for my next one, there were no clean glasses for water and there were dirty cups from this morning that hadn’t been cleared away. As I waited for my treatment I could hear two staff members arguing, not loudly but they were in the room next door! My next treatment was nails. I was sat closely next to another client and her therapist was having trouble doing the French polish and was openly stressed and unprofessional. We went back to the pool and ordered drinks. We were brought our drinks and the staff member walked back without taking any of the empty glasses from other tables. The changing rooms are ok, the floors were very wet, the shower gel/ shampoo is v basic and there ought to be a water machine. My husband said there was only one toilet in the men’s and that it was very small. The towels weren’t big enough and barely covered what was needed. There were spare ones in the changing rooms but they weren’t there at first and only got filled up during the day. Overall the day was ok, the facilities were nice, the treatments were nice, but the overall experience was very average due to small touches that make a huge difference. The standards and attention to detail from the staff/ management really let it down, very amateurish. Not rude but not what you’d expect at a decent spa.

Positive experience: It’s been written everywhere that this is a 5 star spa. It isn’t. The facilities are 5 star but the staff team that underpin it are only 2 star. It’s not their fault. There is a clear lack of standards and leadership. The staff haven’t been trained to deliver 5 star service it’s as simple as that. The place is beautiful though, but without those standards it won’t be for long.

Positive experience: Second visit and it's been consistently good so far. Menu is varied with enough choice for most (lunch menu). Staff are pleasant and helpful and the venue is aesthetically pleasing. Would reccomend for sure - looking forward to trying the breakfast & dinner menu's also.

Positive experience: Josie - reception: lovely, very welcoming, explained everything thoroughly on what to expect. Lovely natured young woman. Spa experience- environment smells gorgeous, very tidy and clean. Hand sanitizer filled up and available to use. Robes were a bit big and felt a bit rough but it was overall fine. Appointment was at 5pm and was seen about 5mins before. Maya was very polite and professional. Thought the massage was good and I did feel relaxed, however I felt the pace was a bit fast for me and it did feel rushed. I know it’s the end of the day for some people so I can understand why the pace can quicken, however I would have preferred the massage to be a bit slower. Maya really worked my shoulders though and I do feel the benefit. Throughout the treatment, it was a bit disappointing to hear the amount of background noise I.e banging from the side of the room, staff talking loudly in corridor and doors closing loudly. This interrupted my massage quite a few times and it would have been more enjoyable had the noise levels been minimal. The relaxation room was lovely, however the drinks station was a bit dirty looking. The glasses were a bit clouded looking, so was the water tanks. I know there was lemon flavoured water in one, but the clear water did look a bit murky. Again the noises from above disturbed the relaxation period for me. Think it’s the gym, but none the less, I don’t want to hear weights being slammed down on the floor. The steam room was good, however I didn’t feel the signage for the hot steam was in the correct position, nor was the faucet in a visible position. As a result of this, I was sitting nearest to the steam faucet and my foot caught the steam as it was coming out. I didn’t tell anyone as I didn’t feel it was necessary, the impact wasn’t that bad. However I think if the sign was a bit closer or more directive, this might not happen in the future. Also I had a £10 voucher to use but when I was leaving, I waited at reception for around 5/10mins but no one came so I left. Overall, the experience was nice but I wasn’t overly thrilled. When I come to a spa, I want quiet and serene - which it started off to be but as I have said in the points above, the noise levels were an ongoing issues which really impacted the enjoyment factor.

Fantastic experience: Came for a spa day for a mini hen party. Right from booking over the phone the service was excellent, staff were extremely helpful and friendly throughout. We all had a full body massage which was excellent. The facilities were brilliant, the pool and outside area were very relaxing. Very clean throughout and the afternoon tea was great. Will definitely be coming again

Fantastic experience: Love this place it's beautiful. Booked a twilight evening with my pregnant daughter we both had a treatment each, back massage and a facial, the girls did a fantastic job very enjoyable and relaxing just what we needed on a cold January evening. Then into the pool for a swim,sauna, and out door hot tub. This place is spotless and the staff are great, the manager gave us a very warm welcome. Only tiny problem was we were offered an add of food which we accepted but then was told the kitchen was closing early. Never mind it didn't put us off we had cake and coffee instead and will return to eat in the bistro another day.

Positive experience: I went for a spa day to Stocks Hall. The spa is really lovely and the treatment was perfect. The staff are friendly and it's spotlessly clean. My only complaint is the food. I was told the menu I should have been able to choose from wasn't available so I chose from another. There was only one vegetarian option which was pasta in a creamy mushroom sauce. The sauce was really watery so didn't stick to the pasta and there was no flavour to the dish at all. I couldn't eat it even though I was hungry.

Positive experience: I treated my sister & brother in law to a spa day last month and albeit they had a wonderful time yet the most very basic easily remedial things were missing-eg. The said they wernt expected yet i confirmed twice weeks before.They were asked to keep hydrated but water and cup dispenser empty. Difficult to find people to ask for help. Maybe points that can be noted.

Fantastic experience: We enjoyed a really amazing spa day at stocks hall. The whole experience was completely lovely. We were welcomed with coffee and Danish pastries. The had a full body massage followed by a two course lunch and a glass of prosecco. In the afternoon we enjoyed the spa facilities then had a session in the Rasul mud chamber followed by a facial. All of the staff were amazing and the ladies completing the treatments were exceptional. The spa is new and really beautifully finished.

Fantastic experience: I have been a member at the Spa since it first opened, the building and facilities are exquisite. Set within the beautiful countryside. The staff are highly professional & always greet us with a smile and the upmost politeness every day, they have been chosen very well by the owners. Fantastic experience: Updated: Had to upgrade Stocks Hall to 5 stars after my wifes spa day today, she was looked after perfectly and the lunch we had was superb - excellent food & service. Received a call from Mark (manager) who explained why the decision has been made to increase the current minimum age of guests which I fully understand and support. Taking my daughter along tonight to look around before deciding if we'll be taking out a junior memebership. Thanks Mark, much appreciated

Positive experience: I was “caught short” whilst heading through Maudsley, absolutely desperate for the loo… A delightful young lady, apologies I didn’t get her name, allowed me to use their toilet. Very clean toilet area even though very small area only enough space for two urinals and one very small toilet cubicle, possibly the smallest porcelain sink I think I’ve ever used. Hand drying facilities well the usual forced blown air, sorry forced blown COLD air.

Fantastic experience: What a hidden gem! My friend and I enjoyed the most relaxing and glorious spa day today. The spa is immaculate and a truly luxurious place in every way. Our treatments were incredible the therapists were so lovely and friendly, and gave us absolutely superb massages! Fantastic experience: We went today the place is lovely and a friendly place very clean and a good experience for my friend and I. We had a spa day which included a 2 course bistro meal at lunchtime. You had a choice of one of 3 starter and one of 3 mains we enjoyed the food and place. We had a pot of tea with our meal theres alcohol if wanted. We had a special package costing £40 each for the spa day use of everything and the meal included. We asked beforehand to book a treatment 25 minutes and a back and shoulder massage mine was with Lisa a lovely experience costing us £35 each very worthwhile. We will be going back again soon. Thanks to the staff it’s lovely

Fantastic experience: I booked the Pure Bliss spa day for my mum's birthday and we had such a wonderful day. The treatment was amazing, we felt so relaxed after it. We used the facilities and spent most of the time sunbathing in the jacuzzi. The food was absolutely delicious and service fantastic from all staff members. Special mention to Lisa in the Spa and Jess in the restaurant who were fantastic. Will be booking again soon!

Fantastic experience: Best choice ever to join here. Well run and all to a high standard. You’ll be made to feel welcome, even if you’re on your own. Great for getting fit and healthy, safe socialising and lovely healthy food, and perfect for a coffee. A membership here would be an amazing gift for your loved one. It’s great value as you pay 6/10 for one class, they’re unlimited for the month here. The pool is the nicest I’ve swam in anywhere. Many of us (members) agree it’s the best way to keep safe, and physically and mentally well this year. I believe Mark the manager is doing some no joining fee memberships during this lockdown to start when it reopens.

Mark the manager is fantastic always smiling nothing is to0 much trouble. The food in the bistro is amazing. I would highly recommend this place we love it hear so happy we found this place. Joining here as brought a new lease to life, the faciities are fabulous , the bistro ( think my son and I have worked our way through the menu ) is first class food .However, what sets in a different league is the staff and members which are truly fab !! love being a member

Fantastic experience: Lovely leisure facilities, few chunks in the armour to get right, as new opening that’s always going to be the way .. loving having it round the corner great place unwind ... hope they can introduce a few sessions in the pool so I can bring the little one for a swim. ..
