Negative experience: The music is very loud

Negative experience: Signed up for PT sessions with Arron, on the first sessions he was very inattentive, taking calls on his mobile while I was exercising, when asking him to repeat what should I do in regards of exercise he was trying to be funny and was walking away saying "you complaining". At the end of the session he cancelled next session due to his caravan holiday that he didn't mention when booking me for PT training. The very next day I have messaged Arron saying that I am not happy with the session and the service he has given I have asked to refund me for the rest of the sessions that I will not be attending because of his unprofessional service. Told that I was motivated and he cancelled the next session. He told me that he can take holidays when ever he like as he is self employed. He refused the refund as he offers service and if I don't want to attend it's my issue !! What a bad service. So had to take legal advise and after sending him formal letter and pre court letter he ignored it. Now I have to bring this case to the court. What a scam PT trainer at Kings Gym Farnworth.

Positive experience: Prices gone up massively. Contracts member ship not considerate. Furthermore equipment faulty and no changes. Gym doesn't have a pool or sauna so quality isn't reflecting in the price. Reply: JD gym Bolton cheaper with sauna and more welcoming for ladies

Fantastic experience: Best gym I've been to in years, great variety of equipment, staff and customers alike are amazing the blue lights are a nice touch (don't flash), I highly recommend here and very cheap compared to others I've been to with more options for drinks (energy, protein and water) Also clothing is ridiculously good , Keep up the great work

Negative experience: EDIT DUE TO THE OWNERS EXTREMELY RUDE RESPONSE: I have been to this gym when I have had no other choice & really needed a workout- as I said the place is okay :)) By the way, you aren't asked for your name if you get a day pass, so there is no way the owner would know if you've been haha! I even briefly had a membership for 2 months until I changed gym. Unsure why they are trying invalidate a business review. CONTINUED It's okay, definitely for pure weights. On the other hand, a day pass is extortionate & the monthly rate is high. To me it isn't worth it given inside doesn't have air conditioning, equipment is regularly worn/broken, class timetable is limited. Upstairs could be utilised better but I like the bit downstairs with astro & weight sleds! The music is at times deafeningly loud & it feels more like a bar with the flashing blue lights. Being an epileptic & a glasses wearer makes the gym pretty irritating I respect that it's an independent gym though but I'm not sure if that is a significant enough draw for me. Personally, I would sign up for the leisure centre nearby. It does still have most (BUT NOT ALL) the stuff necessary for weightlifting, plus you can swim & it's cheaper.

Fantastic experience: Recently joined after going for a one off a couple of weeks ago. It's fantastic! I am new to the gym and the staff are extremely helpful, plenty of knowledge and free classes throughout the week. The equipment is out of this world. The atmosphere is fantastic and gets you in the mood for a workout. The people that use this gym seem down to earth. Highly recommended!

Fantastic experience: Been a member here for 9 months. Great gym, lots of equipment and unlike most gyms the music gets you in the mood for a workout! Only downside is the building is a black spot for any phone signal. They really should invest in WiFi as part of the upcoming improvement plans

Absolutely love going to Kings gym, the classes with Aaron definitely make you feel like you have had a personal PT season. Aaron remembers everyone’s name and even though he might look scary he is a friendly giant, he isn’t here to mess around. You are with out a doubt going to break a sweat and reach all your goals

Fantastic experience: I do a 24 mile round trip 3 or 4 days a week to train here. Best gym I’ve ever been to and there’s been many. Easy to park, helpful staff and a generally friendly atmosphere from a huge array of people. Pro bodybuilders and regular fitness fans all going about their workouts without waiting around for machines or weights. Plenty of space and equipment for all. Brilliant place

Negative experience: Took my money while lockdown for 4 months. When i went back in we didn't get no rewards either which was promised for the time it was closed during the lockdown. When I spoke to the receptionist about the rewards he didn't even know about it. Anyways Cancelled my gym.

Positive experience: Great space plenty of good quality equipment. A bit cold but a huge space to heat, so not bad considering. Music is too loud, you have to shout at training partner or can't hear headphones clearly.

Negative experience: Changing rooms have been closed for 3 months now so unable to use the gym in the morning before work as there are no showers or anywhere to change. Portaloos outside are the only toilets. How long does it take to refurb 2 changing rooms?

Positive experience: Good points is the old school equipment specially for back and legs. Bad points. Dumbbells do are always mixed and have no right place. Music is always too loud, is really hard to hear your own music on headphones, not to mention the sound quality is really poor and always the same POP SOFT KITTY everyday which make it worst. No heater, really cold inside the gym. Quite dark inside as well can’t see the weight you are adding on the machines.

Fantastic experience: Great gym, great equiptment, great value, open 24/7 365 days a year, always there when you need it. Convinient for 'out of hour' workouts (while the kids are still asleep!) Still being improved further so im sure overall experience will get even better!
