Fantastic experience: Great customer service, friendly and professional team

Fantastic experience: I can't recommend this gym more! The staff are all really friendly and helpful, it's always clean, and they have a great variety of equipment. Rarely busy too so you always have lots of space to workout.

Negative experience: This is by far the dirtiest gym I have ever been to. The equipment is extremely old, and the ventilation is terrible, leaving the whole place constantly smelling bad. There are hair clumps on the floor, which is covered in stains. The dumbbell area is tiny and completely unsuitable for any proper workout. There are no clean fitness mats available, and the equipment that they do have is in terrible condition. Overall, this gym is a nightmare for anyone serious about fitness. Would not recommend it at all.

Fantastic experience: Snap Fitness turned out to be a great fit when I needed a gym for a few days while I was in town. Special thanks to Harry the assistant manager who gave me a great intro the gym and gave a delightful welcome. Their membership options are also pretty flexible and competitively priced. The gym also had lots of equipment and everything the average strength trainer can possibly need. All in all I would highly recommend this gym if you're nearby!

Fantastic experience: I needed a gym just for a few sessions and found Snap to be a great spot. Really friendly staff! Overall a nice community vibe to the gym. It's not huge but it has everything you would need and the 24/hrs is a bonus!

Fantastic experience: I've been going for about a year and it's impressive gym. The staff are all really enthusiastic and supportive. They will set you up on a training program tailored to you It is 24 hours and always a good environment. Cheap considering the benefits - definitely recommend.

Negative experience: This gym is filthy , my hands and leggings are covered in dirt just by working out on the mats, peoples hair and nails on the floor its disgusting place to work out. The room with the kettlebells seems to be the most neglected its gross Nothing seems to get done about it as i can see so many bad reviews on cleanliness!!

Negative experience: I am editing this review. I'd give them a 0 star rating if I can avoid this gym at all costs. Having to pay £150 to cancel my contract is a bloody joke. Particularly as the facilities are rubbish in the gym and the cleaning is very very poor. Do yourselves a favour and find another gym. I've also asked twice for written confirmation that I've left and they've refused to send it despite being promised by 2 different staff. They don't care!!

Fantastic experience: Been a member here for just over a year now, Pete and the team are all really friendly and knowledgeable whether it be from teaching group classes to running the gym floor, would recommend this gym to anyone looking to improve their health and fitness

Negative experience: I’m choosing to remain annonymous for this review because I don’t want to be treated differently in the gym for speaking the truth. What has actually happened to snap fitness godalming ? 2023 has been awful and the service is dreadful. I’ve been going here for a while now and it used to be okay, but recently it’s been awful and everyone else thinks the same. The lat pull down has been out of order for a while now, the grips on the assisted pull up station are broken, the seated leg press plate is badly chipped at the bottom, the showers have been out of order since god knows how long, they never put paper towels in the disabled toilet toward the end of the dumbbell rack meaning you physically cannot dry your hands after washing them, they’ve significantly reduced the staffed hours making it way harder to access the gym if you’re below 18 (doesn’t affect me directly but I know that it does affect students etc) and haven’t bothered to update the staffed hours on the front door, the list goes on. Terrible service. You’d think for the extortionate price of a £50 membership every month they could maintain a small gym, and offer decent service, but apparently not. I don’t normally write reviews, hence why I’ve actually created a new account to remain anonymous, but this is getting out of hand now.

Fantastic experience: Great gym. Good equipment, friendly staff and great amenities such as showers and hair dryers. Suitable for beginners and advanced athletes. The only issue is they play godawful music in there! Otherwise a good place to workout. Would recommend.

Fantastic experience: Snap fitness has by far the best team of personal trainers and staff I have ever come across. They are incredible knowledgable and will help you in any way they can. I love coming to Godalming snap as I also feel like I am part of a fitness family. I would recommend joining to anyone if you want to achieve any fitness goal you have. Classes are also first class with the very best instructors!!!!

Fantastic experience: Great gym, good atmosphere, rarely so busy that access to equipment is an issue. Friendly staff and a great PT in Dave Tye. So much better than my last PT! Lost 2 stone and feeling the fittest in years!

Fantastic experience: After a not so great experience with my last gym it was a unexpectedly pleasant surprise to join one so welcoming and friendly. Clean environment, helpful staff, and great classes, although I recommend avoiding the Wednesday core class if you value being able to move without squeaking in pain.

Negative experience: ****Beware of this gym***** The cancellation policy at this gym is a complete joke. I contacted the gym in August to cancel my membership. I was not sent a cancellation form at this time. Snap have now taken a further three payments for a membership I am no longer using. The customer service is awful. They hide behind the T&C’s and the fact you have to attend the gym to fill out a cancellation form. All they are interested in is taking your money. I do not normally leave reviews, but I’d hate someone else to go through what I have to try and cancel my membership. Julia

Fantastic experience: Decent gym with friendly staff. Quite expensive for the amenities but I rarely need to wait to use any equipment and the only thing missing is something for seated calf raises. Really easy to get to by any mode of transport. Just wish they could somehow find space for some spa facilities! Love that the showers at least have body wash and shampoo making it that bit easier for those who want to go directly to work after a session.

Positive experience: Great gym, great equipment, superb personal trainers. However, the showers are so bad -- press a button for about 10 seconds of shower -- that I have given up on them altogether. I change into my street clothes while still sweaty and shower when I get home.

Negative experience: Joined Snap Fitness in Godalming with my wife. After 3 weeks we decided this gym wasn’t for us and we would travel back to our old gym. Trying to cancel the membership has been a nightmare. 30day cancellation isn’t correct, currently we are on 90 days cancellation and they have just taken funds again. Reality is, the gym was dirty and had a poor attitude, now they make excuses why we are being charged. I would recommend avoiding this gym. Pay extra and go anywhere else.

Fantastic experience: I have a love hate relationship with exercise I made the decision I want better fitness strength and stamina. Had a tour last week was very impressed with Rob and the ethos of the gym. I felt it is a safe space and I felt I’d be able to go at any time and not feel like it was somewhere I was being judged. I had my induction yesterday with Tillie who was excellent. She listened to my needs and my goals and came up with a programme which is challenging for me and where I’m starting from and never once made me feel bad if I struggled or needed an alternate version of an exercise because of old injuries or other requirements. I left absolutely buzzing and full of enthusiasm.

Negative experience: Very run down for a premium price. No showers working this week, when they do work you have to hold you hand on the button. Holes in the wall, broken flooring, cobwebs on the ceiling.

Fantastic experience: I was hesitating first and thought this gym charges too much money but you get what you pay for. It is clean, cosy and has everything you need... The membership comes with access to variety of classes with good instructors. I find their app very handy because all booked classes go directly to my calendar so I am always reminded.

I went to sign up for their 3-day trial, and nothing was too much trouble for Roberto...so there will be no hesitation in my signing up. Great facilities, super-friendly staff, and they aren't arrogant enough to think they can't learn. They invite feedback and are constantly seeking to improve. Godalming Leisure Centre (gym) pales significantly in comparison with Snap Fitness!
