Fantastic experience: I've been a member of Activ8 for four years now and couldn't speak highly enough of this gym. Despite the potentially intimidating exterior, this gym is a hidden gem full of incredible equipment, friendly staff, and a unique community that encourages progression and respect. Despite opportunities to move away, one of the reasons that I choose to stay within the area and travel 30 minutes to train is because of this gym as I doubt I'll find anywhere like it again. I hold a lot of respect and appreciation for both the members and the staff here. I couldn't recommend it enough and strongly encourage others to give it a chance.

Negative experience: Google says 8am. Get there at 8am, people are training but they then say 9am open...

Fantastic experience: Today was the first time I went in there without my pt trainer (ellie) I cancelled my membership in my old gym and joined this one about 3 weeks ago. I want to say today the customer service was fantastic . I was given a workout plan to do tonight . I just panicked and just forgot the machines before I even started . Amar (sorry if I spelt your name totally wrong ) who was on reception this evening helped me out whilst doing his normal job ( great multitasking I must say ) because I went to the gym probably at the wrong time at 6pm , all the machines were very busy . Honestly apart from Ellie my pt as she’s amazing , his customer service and helping me out was top . Thankyou .

Fantastic experience: Having tried multiple gyms in Slough, I can confirm that this gym is ahead of the rest. The atmosphere is amazing, everyone is always willing to help and the facilities are top-notch. I 100% recommend Activ8, especially for beginners and women who want to get into lifting, like me! :)

Fantastic experience: Great gym with great staff. If you want a gym to powerlift in slough this is the place, monolift, Eleiko calibrated plates, squat bar deadlift bar you name it. Also a great range of hammer machines and mag grip cable attachments

Fantastic experience: A close friend took me to this gym about two weeks ago and from a resistance training/weight lifting perspective, it is one of the best gyms I have visited for years now. The equipment and weights available are extensive and cater for a variety of lifters. The staff/manager were all very friendly and made you feel comfortable. This was accompanied by other lifters/members who were open to conversation or helping you get familiar with the surroundings. This gym is five stars for people who are serious about lifting and want to work-out in a place with other like-minded people who also take their training/physical development seriously.

Fantastic experience: Incredible range of plate loaded kit, newly upholstered. Plenty of machines to keep variation in your workout. The Eleiko calibrated plates take your deadlifts to a whole new level! The staff are extremely welcoming and friendly! Couldn’t knock anything about this gym!

Fantastic experience: Struggled to find a gym to join for ages, so glad I had heard good recommendations and decided to join. Everyone is very kind and will go out their way to help you if they see you struggling. Amazing service from reed at reception and the owner imran who actually takes time out to engage with memebers!

Positive experience: App advised it wasn't busy only 30% capacity however when I've arrived it is always about 80% full. There was also very little disinfectant spray around.

Fantastic experience: This is definitely one of the best gym's I have ever trained at hands down, went for the 3 month membership since I know there isn't another one close by that will be able to beat it. Old school weights, well organised and no nonsense. Wouldn't go anywhere else, recommend 100%.

Positive experience: A great gym and location with lots of high quality equiptment. One observation thiugh... there's no barbells upstairs when there is so much room there to use them. There's not really enough room to use the bsrbells downstairs without blocking off other macines

Negative experience: The place look like run down warehouse and someone really need of customer service training have no manners,how to talk to customers to much up his A** or need to come off steroid.

Positive experience: Great equipment for serious lifters. The management run this place well and keep everyone in check. Only downside is that the parking is very limited but well worth the hassle.

Negative experience: Absolutely awful, I wanted to join the gym the clerk was insanely rude, did not give a damn about my existence. He told me if I want a tour of the gym I can go by myself. For £50 a month I would expect some friendliness and not extreme ignorance and rudeness.

Fantastic experience: We use this gym multiple times a week whilst working in slough. All of the staff and team members are very friendly and helpful each time we visit. Members of the gym are also respectful to each other. I mainly use the upstairs section of the gym which is generally empty when I am there around 9pm on a week night.

Fantastic experience: This is the best gym in Slough. They have a large weights section on the ground floor filled with Hammer Strength machines and free weights. Going up the stairs you see photos of bodybuilders and athletes (& The Rock) who all worked out here and that provides a sense of inspiration. The first floor is filled with cardio machines and a few other hammer strength machines. The rear part contains their enclosed room where classes occur. I see a lot of adults and children attending these so it must be popular. The main thing that makes or breaks a gym for me is cleanliness and I and happy to say that it is always kept clean and I see someone cleaning it around every other hour. I was rather new to the gym scene when I started but the staff were polite and the members were nice as well. Offering me advice when I needed. This is defiantly a place I would recommend to everyone. New or experienced.

Fantastic experience: I am a chauffeur and I drive all over the country. As such, I am able to visit gyms in England and Wales and I have my favourites. I Google Hammer Strength Gyms wherever I go and I have visited loads of them. This gym has to be the best. All the equipment is Hammer Strength covering every body part. Nothing is missed. There is a cardio and boxing area on the first floor and the gym comes with changing rooms, showers and sauna. Just awesome!

Fantastic experience: Excellent gym 100% the best I've ever seen and very clean. This is a gym mainly catering for weight lifters and bodybuilding but also has plenty of cardio equipment.
