Fantastic experience: Been with the gym since they opened in Barnstaple, friendly staff, clean equipment 24/7 access what more could you want

Negative experience: Terrible experience here. Extremely creepy PTs who don't try to stop talking to you. Small and outdated/damaged equipment. Refused to let me cancel my membership even though I have developed a serious medical condition and provided a doctor's note. I also explained that I felt uncomfortable with the PTs demeanour but they refused to cancel. Only join here if you like creeps!

Fantastic experience: Brilliant experience getting a temporary membership here while working in the area. Nathan is a friendly and dedicated manager and works hard along with his team to keep the gym clean, tidy and a welcoming place to train for everyone.

Fantastic experience: It's great they have gyms all over the south west, it means I can visit when I'm working away Always clean and tidy whatever time of the day or night I go (anything from 0530 to 2300) When staff are on duty there always helpful and friendly Good selection of equipment and in good condition And discount for NHS and blus light card holders All their gyms have the same or similar equipment so no surprises!! Definitely recommend the gym group

Negative experience: Disappointing experience today. A sign out the front of the gym says a 3 day pass free. I pressed the bell and a staff member came to the door. I explained I was interested in the 3 day pass and went in. I then got told because I don't live in Barnstaple I couldnt have it. I even tried to explain my licence address stated Barnstaple, but was shot down. I went to TM gym who were much more friendly, they asked me a few more questions, which allowed me to.explain that I will be in the area on and off for 6 months. So I signed up with them. Two suggestions 1. Put on the sign "offer only available to local residents" 2. Ask a few more questions to understand peoples needs. Although you wasted my time and didnt listen, I'm much happy at TM gym as they are more professional and friendly.

Fantastic experience: The equipment is good and updated regularly. The staff are friendly and helpful. The gym is very clean and tidy with a welcoming environment. I would definitely recommend!

Fantastic experience: Iv been going hear for years and the staff are brilliant. Laid back easy to talk to and happy to help you. I love this gym as there are different areas so if you want to feel a bit more private (if you want to do weights but not in the "weight" area) there are other areas with weights. Cross trainers face the windows and the treadmills face partion area. Big main area to work out but lots of smaller areas aswell including a hall. I go with my shy 17 year old daughter and the atmosphere is family friendly. It's an all round gym with diverse clients. Great facilities aswell.

Fantastic experience: I joined this gym in February and have been very pleased with it to date. The staff are friendly and supportive. Comfortable atmosphere, to the point I more than happy to attend without my daughter, who is also a member.

Fantastic experience: Started at this Gym a year ago and it has helped to transform my outlook and how i feel about life and myself going forwards. The staff have been supportive and have encouraged and offered advice every step which is why this Gym is the only Gym i have stuck with. Anytime Fitness Barnstaple has become like a second home to me and i love working out and has become a highlight of my week.

Negative experience: They are the worst gym in North Devon, I ask them to cancel my membership and I have them 5 months notice but apparently I had to do some form that they never told me about, so they then threatened to send people round my home to get the money. Make sure you read your contract before going to anytime as they make it hard to leave there gym.

Fantastic experience: Best Gym in town! All the staff are welcoming and helpful, same with the members are helpful and kind. Equipment is very good and getting better I’ve noticed. Wouldn’t never go anywhere else.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been to many gyms and this one just tops all of them, doesn’t feel like just a gym because they are so nice and friendly and willing to always help. A place where you can go and be welcomed, with no judgement. They more often then not leave out free treats, that aren’t always healthy showing it’s actually okay to just have a treat now and then, they really go above and beyond to make it a great place to go. Incentive to get onto their leader board with competitions/ challenges and member of the month. I’ve failed at hitting my goals in the past at gyms but 6 months in and I’m genuinely smashing my targets more then I thought possible! The facility’s are genuinely really amazing too! Even down the having a vanity room with ghd straighteners and Dyson hair dryers! Anything you could need from a gym then honestly have it!! Thanks guys ☺️

Positive experience: Went today no toilet rolls , dryers not working and no paper towels in the gym. There also used to be deodorants and pads an stuff in the toilets but none today .

Negative experience: Joining ATF was easy and the staff were friendly, informing me I could cancel "Anytime" with 1 months notice. Once covid happened clearly did not make sense to have a gym account so cancelled. Have now had debt collection agency sending threatning letters demanding a year's subscription. I feel sad that staff felt the need to lie when signing me up, I've learnt a valuable lesson and won't be joining again "Anytime" soon. tol

Negative experience: Cancelled membership after paying for a month. Got an email confirming cancellation now my details are being passed on the 3rd party for collection after cancelling my DD . Glad to see I'm not the only 1 having this issue with anytime fitness

Negative experience: I’ve asked them several times to cancel this service I do not use as my job is very physical and over the past year they have continued to take money from me even though I do not use their service they are extremely unprofessional not helpful and borderline rude

Lovely staff, excellent equipment, great vibe and atmosphere. lovely bathrooms/showers and changing rooms and a great private space with a huge screen to do every type of class, yoga, Zumba, whatever you want from thousands to choose from, and open 24/7 every day of the year.

Fantastic experience: I recently visited this anytime fitness & thought i should share a review. The gym itself is great & fully equipped & the over all hygiene is good too. But what really made my visit was how friendly the staff were from as soon as you arrived to when you left, i had a few questions regarding the gym and both staff members i asked were more than happy to help.
