Fantastic experience: I’m not a cardio person but the Climb to the Beat classes have converted me into one!!! I’ve done classes with most of the instructors at the Canary Wharf branch and highly recommend the ones run by Ashleigh/Courtney! They have great intro offers which were quite useful when I was figuring out if these would fit well into my training schedule. The staff have been very helpful every time I’ve been and the changing rooms are great too, highly recommend!
Fantastic experience: Very nice boxing studio, with great trainers and facilities that get you pumped up . Always leave feeling well exercised and fresh from the high quality shower facilities.

Negative experience: I’ve been to Marylebone branch before, the staffs are very nice. I booked two classes at Canary wharf, the lack of hospitality and understanding from the staff made each visit feel unwelcoming and frustrating. Additionally, my recent visit coincided with a bank holiday, during which some lifts were closed, so it took me more time to get there. Just two minutes late and they won’t let you in. There was little to no understanding shown for different situations or circumstances. The strict adherence to the schedule, even for minor tardiness, seemed unnecessarily rigid and unforgiving.

Fantastic experience: By far, my favourite place to workout! I used to be a member of Third Space but after their renovations it just wasn't as enjoyable anymore. The instructors are incredible and so welcoming and encouraging. The bathrooms are well stocked so you don't have to worry about carrying so many toiletries if you need to get ready quickly for work. I love the class sizes and the instructors have all been brilliant and are attentive. Versaclimbing got me into shape really quickly for a big event last year. I did it 4-5 times a week for 6 weeks and dropped two dress sizes. I had quit a while ago as life got in the way and recently rejoined after a bad knee injury (related to years of running). Pilates classes have been perfect for me to strengthen up and get stronger. I have to say I absolutely love Celeste Z and am really here for her classes! I wish they gave her more slots. One of the best trainers I have ever come across in 20 years of being an avid gym goer! After reading some of the negative reviews, I felt compelled to write. This place is definitely not fatphobic and the diversity shows in the staff and attendees. As someone who's weight REALLY fluctuates, I've always felt comfortable and welcome here. Sometimes the intimidation is in your head and not a reality! Smiling and courteous reception staff, smiling and energetic instructors that know how to drive results make this the best place for a workout in London!

Fantastic experience: I absolutely love the Climb to the Beat class. I have done this class with different trainers but Kate’s is by far the best and she also has a great music playlist. I definitely recommend this class.

Negative experience: The 5minutes late policy is very interesting. No matter where you live, no matter where you are, If you come late 5min, you have to back off, what a genius made it!
Hi Michael, Thank you for your feedback and sorry to hear you were dissatisfied with your experience. Our 5-minute late policy is put in place in the interest of health and safety for all of our clients. Without adequate time to warm-up for your class you are at higher risk of injury. Within the first five minutes of the class the instructor will also ask for declaration of pregnancies or pre-existing injuries so they can give you appropriate modifications. Trying to do this post five minutes causes disruption to the class and the instructor alike. We have also put our late policy on all platforms where you book your class so you are aware of this rule prior to entering the studio. Unfortunately we cannot make exceptions on this rule depending on where you live as this would be biased and would still ultimately put your health and safety at risk. We do however empathise with the fact that life gets in the way sometimes and that you cannot make it in time for class on occasion. Due to this, we always offer for you to go into the next class if there's space or have your credit back if bought directly through us so you can visit us another time. Negative experience: Cancel class last minute with no reason.
Fantastic experience: This was a great class, not packed like many other gyms and enough space for everyone to work out. Yes the music as you come into the reception feels like high school musical vomited all over you and is very much the opposite of what you’d associate with a workout, however see past that and you’ll have a lot of fun. A huge shout out to the very kind cleaner in the men’s changing room after the 11am class (sorry I don’t know his name). He had already collected all of the towels to wash and I had just gone for my shower. He came back some time later as I was finishing and waited so politely to take the towel. When I said thank you so much, he replied, “no thank you; have a really nice day”. It melted my heart, such a simple and kind response that really made my day. I will definitely return! When I

Negative experience: For a premium priced gym in central london the staff are so rude and unfriendly and unhelpful. The management need to completely rehire and retrain the entire front of house team. They are so bad I am stopping my membership and going to third space.
Fantastic experience: I’ve been going to this gym for almost 2 weeks and I love it. I’ve tried Versa climbing ( my favourite), boxing, Pilates and yoga. Definitely recommend it.

Negative experience: I was 4 mins late because the elevators down weren’t working (the place is really hard to find if you don’t know Canary Wharf well). Hannah (at the front desk) didn’t let me through but let others through after. The environment is not friendly at all and I felt really uncomfortable for the 10 mins I was there. People (including the staff) stare like they’ve never seen a brown or chubby person before. The manager said their Ts&Cs mention a 5 minute lateness policy. I read through and told her it didn’t and she just dismissed me completely and said she’s sure it does and I’m lying. She read through and realised it didn’t but still disregarded it. I’m not sure why they aren’t friendlier to keep customers coming! The place screams fatphobic and for a busy Sunday afternoon I didn’t see anyone of colour there (working or as a customer). I’m not sure if this is why I was treated differently… Please avoid if you’re new on your fitness journey, you’ll make the journey to just feel unwelcome.
We’re sorry to hear you weren’t satisfied with your recent visit to our studio. We understand missing a class due to lateness can be frustrating. As was explained on the day, every first-time client to a Sweat by BXR class must arrive 15 minutes prior to class. This is so the trainer can provide you with a full induction prior to class. As you had arrived 5 minutes after the class had started, you had not only missed the induction but also the warm-up and we therefore could not let you enter due to health and safety reasons. Sweat by BXR are a diverse and inclusive community - both in the staff we employ and the clients who enter our studio. We are proud to welcome each client who walks through our doors and allow everyone to take part in their scheduled classes as long as they comply with our health and safety regulations. We must stress that the health and safety of our clients is paramount to us and will always be prioritised in every circumstance, even if you feel this is frustrating at the time. Details for first-timers to our studios is part of our terms and conditions of booking and our policy regarding this is also stated under the ‘How to Prepare’ section on Classpass and on our studio page on Classpass.

Fantastic experience: Tossing my gloves in the ring for the boxing gym crew, my second home! These aren't just calorie-busting staff; they're legit motivation maestros, turning sweat sessions into a knockout experience. We've sweated, conquered, and shared laughs, forging a camaraderie beyond the ring. And in the conquering department, I shed a whopping 16 kg in the first six months, all thanks to killer workouts and unwavering support. Did I mention I practically lived at the gym? Yep, attended every day, often pulling off two-hour marathons, for over a year already. Here's to a New Year with more jabs, hooks, laughs, and wishing the gym squad a Happy New Year – gloves laced, spirits soaring high!

Fantastic experience: Took a Barre and Pilates class with Jo-Leigh through ClassPass. This was my first visit and I had a blast - the class was the perfect pace and a great mix of strength, conditioning and movement. My brain was kept busy so I didn't worry too much when muscles started burning! The gym itself is clean, spacious and modern, but not clinical like some gyms are. The facilities are top class and the staff are very friendly and welcoming. Would definately visit again and highly recommend Jo-Leigh!
Fantastic experience: Boxing with BXR is great! Lots of fun :). 1. The facilities BXR provides are superb. The reception staff is super friendly. Showers and changing rooms are spacious and always clean. Towels and boxing gloves are provided by the venue. The training room is fully equipped: sports equipment: check, lights and music to energise you when you train: check. 2. Forget about a treadmill. Nothing better than punching a bag to burn calories. Their Sweat class is a mixture of bootcamp (burpees etc) and boxing. Want to just punch instead of doing burpees? Try their boxing skills classes! 3. The instructors have perfect control over the class, even when the class is running at full capacity. 4. All instructors are great, but Indija Anderson is truly amazing. She brings tons of energy and positivity to each class (and great music :)). She has perfect training routines: easy to follow but extremely challenging to actually execute. She is also a great teacher–always going the extra mile to stay after the class to correct your mistakes. Overall a star. Keep it up Indija!
Fantastic experience: Absolutely bomb boxing experience! Especially love Indija on Wednesdays in the Canary Wharf studio. Great music, fantastic instructor. Indija makes it easy to pick up the technic and really enjoy the class. Highly recommend but keep one space for me please!;))

Fantastic experience: I used their bishopsgate gym for versa climbing and sweatcon legs and it was one of the most intense workout I have had. Very cardio focussed fun session. Instructors are very good and push you the right amount. Definitely recommend it. Oh and the views are great too (but that’s irrelevant to the aim of the session)!
Fantastic experience: Great gym and I loved the studios. It is a very creative approach to have half of the class doing boxing and the other half doing floor strength exercises. Staff is very polite and responsive. The changing rooms are nice and clean and have a lot of different body things. Would come again with pleasure!

Fantastic experience: Climb to the Beat with Alex will literally take you to the next level. This place is unique and wonderful. Such a great location for anyone based in the heart of London. Plus a steam room and sauna!
Fantastic experience: Great high energy class. Love the music and instructors. The vibe is great- makes me push and reach my personal best. The locker facilities are perfect, plenty of private showers, toiletries and towels. All you need is your gym kit!

Fantastic experience: Amazing class
Fantastic experience: The most fun I've had while working out! Went to Climb to the Beat run by Faizal and it seriously felt like I was transported back to Ushuaia or Tomorrowland. The workout itself is really tough and in that exhausted haze when the bass drops - you're suddenly filled with energy again and you can push a little harder. If you've been to a lot of music festivals then you'll be a natural in this class. The class is also great as it's low impact and after breaking my knee from a skiing accident two seasons ago this is exactly what I need to strengthen the muscle group to get back on the slopes again. The boxing studio also looks insanely modern and fun - cannot wait to try Sweat Box next time!

Negative experience: Not as good as good as other exercise studios. Boxing classes are overcrowded, not challenging and poorly instructed. Versa climber class is better but still boring, definitely not as good as spinning. The rooms are also too warm and not properly air conditioned compared to other exercise studios so you sweat more, and obviously the more you sweat the better the exercise was. Icing on the cake has to be the poor customer service. Loved being shouted at by Managment Rory Spicer (who I see has given his own workplace a 5* review below...) when asking for a refund. If you are looking for good workout, don't worry - Barrys is right next door!
Fantastic experience: Great workout. Loved the sweatbox as it is.a.great combination of boxing and.body weight workouts. Skills is more compact and focused. I have yet to be brave enough to try the versa climb session. The Staff are helpful and friendly.
Positive experience: Called to cancel rebook the week’s booking due to back pain, receptionist was not helpful, and a bit rude ..: Boxing class was packed with too many people and only one instructor, so he end up can’t looking after both sides properly. Climbing is interesting, but not as interesting as spinning. I signed up for the £40 get hooked class and I am not hooked, I perfect the old spinning class before (closed down) so much more, instructors and staff were much friendlier. After the final class don’t think I would go back even with £10 a class.
