Fantastic experience: Last of the oldschool all round functional fitness gyms. Weights, cardio, boxing bags, speed bag, olympic weight lifting, boxing ring, sauna. Just to name a few, long live BFG. Appreciate you.

Positive experience: Really funny premises not bad but seems rustic unmodernised needs a refurbishment.

Positive experience: Pretty good gym. Has an old school vibe to it. Contractless monthly payments work very well. Only downside is that the equipment is rather old, could use some replacement. But overall really good!

Fantastic experience: One of the best gyms I've ever seen. Alot of equipment, cardio room, boxing area with few boxing bags, weightlifting area, 1 person section for heavy lifts, sauna. You can even buy 1 scoop or pre workout or protein powder if you wish! Friendly staff and prefect atmosphere if you like to lift in old school style. Strongly recommended.

Negative experience: Been a member since John owned it. Lovely place to train but DO NOT PAY MONTHLY by direct debt. For over 4 years I have been paying an extra £5 more than my friends who paid cash. It was only a fiver so didn't really rock the boat about it. But then it came to cancellation. . . I had stopped going over 3 weeks ago so a payment was taken out for when I didn't go. Fair enough my fault for not telling them I had moved. So I called to explain and was giving no sympathy and then told I would need to pay a futher £25 because of the 30 day cancellation. So I have to pay a total of £50 when I wont even be stepping through the threshold. What ever happened to dealing with normal people without the 'Computer says No' attitude. Anyone paying in cash can dip in and out of memberships and start and stop when it suits them. Shame really as they have always been really friendly in person. Not only have I paid £1000+ by paying more than my friends for a course of 4+ years I get shafted when I leave. Admittley this is caused by the Ashbourne Managment Services who handle their payments but feel like this more of a smoke screen to hide behind. At the end of the day it is their responsibilty and if they wanted to refund me they can. I also had a £80 jacket stolen from their premise a few years back after calling to confirm that it was still there I went down to collect it and it was gone. . .not their fault really but be warned you do get those type of people lerking about there.
