Positive experience: Pretty good selection of equipment. 24-hour availability is perfect as I tend to go pretty late when it's quieter. The app is basic and could be improved. The corvue app is useless and doesn't really work. It will show your most recent weight and that's it. But the fact the music and lights are on full all the time you could be in there for hours and not notice the hours go by which is very good.

Positive experience: Plenty machines to use, get left to yourself, clean and tidy. Only issues I find is if you have trouble getting through the turnstiles, it's hard to find someone to let you in if there's a class going on and the Aircon needs improving, considering it's still new, it's as if the Aircon was an afterthought to the building.

Fantastic experience: Moved up here from Nottingham and after using JD gyms for years, I thought I would find it difficult to find a place to train that I’d been accustomed to. I quickly came to the realisation that Onegym Thinford was possibly not just as good but slightly better than JD. Great range of equipment both static and free weights, classes, friendly and helpful staff, open 24hrs!!, great atmosphere, price AND a strike a pose room. Love it Thank you Onegym

Negative experience: Only local gym open 24 hours which is more less where the positives end Rather stuffy, some of less used machines are rather dirty but the worst of all if you there before 6am there is only one toilet /changing room so long wait and changing in discusting smell

Fantastic experience: Best gym I've been to, I actually want to stick to my plan now and the fun upbeat classes really help stay on track.

Positive experience: Super busy around 06:30-0830 and 17:00-19:30. Avoid these times if I were you. Clean efficient gym, good facilities and open 24/7!

Negative experience: Not a good gym, very poor in communication with regards to memberships. Tried ringing them and emailing them but get no reply.

Negative experience: It’s a very good gym , well equipped and well ventilated. Down side unlike other business that remind you that your year contract is renewing and say contact us if you want to cancel or ignore if you want to continue. When you finally realise they’re still taking money then cancel the direct debit. They will hound you saying you owe money despite that you completed the year payments and attended only 4 times . I was disappointed and forced to pay a further month. I should give them a months notice they said yet their app doesn’t even allow the changes. Am going back to pure gym at list l join and leave as l want without having to give notice . Am so disappointed

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend Holly Moss enough. I have been doing PT sessions for a few months with Holly, she pushes me to my highest ability to achieve the results and making me feel comfortable with great professional skills. I would definitely recommend the gym and the staff there as they are all welcoming and helpful.

Fantastic experience: I have been a member of this gym since day 1 after leaving another gym in the same area. It’s so refreshing to see a gym reinvest for the members. The equipment is the best I have used. Very impressed with the amount of equipment, and even at busy times there is always something to use. The changing rooms and showers are big enough , with the added bonus of the sauna. The cleanliness is a huge thing. The staff are forever cleaning machines and washing the floors. Plenty of staff around on hand if you need any help. Holly & Matty are the most helpful Iv ever come across in a gym, nothing is too much trouble. For the facilities, the amazing equipment and the vibe (and I’m not 21 ) I would happily pay more each month to keep training here. 5* for me.

Negative experience: Used to love this gym until an incident occurred during the un-staffed hours which the staff at the gym handled very poorly and now the supposed respectable owner of this place has resorted to attempting to humiliate 17 and 18 year olds online how mature. DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE ️

Negative experience: Very rude staff, only a handful that are polite. Making lies up about a situation and banning two members for no apparent reason. Also charging two of the wrong members for “damage” AVOID THIS PLACE

Fantastic experience: Brilliant gym, staff are helpful and friendly. Can get busy at peak times but most gyms do, really good location and always clean. Great machines and lots of free weights and room for free weights, sauna is a nice treat at the end of a workout.

Positive experience: The good: Good equipment, clean, nice space. Could improve: No customer WIFi, and. Building is in poor signal area, streaming music during workout is impossible. Would be great to have a thermal control of at the showers.

Fantastic experience: A great gym, well equipped with every resistance machine, free weight, cardio etc you could ever need. Also benefits from a decent sauna and is open all hours which means you can choose to avoid the busy times. The only thing...which I still can't quite get used to..is when you walk out you're surrounded by every conceivable fast food provider you could imagine! So anyway keep the willpower going til your 10 mins down the road

Fantastic experience: The gym is good and the machines are tip top, there's enough weights and free weights to use, the staff are a good bunch, Holly Matthew and the rest, always there for a chat etc. I've worked it out the best time to train is early or before 1630hrs as it jam packed with alot of the younger people, apart from that it's a good place to train.

Fantastic experience: Open 24hrs. Amazing equipment for strength training & cardio and is clean and tidy 99% of the time. They have a sauna and sunbeds in the facility and plenty of lockers to store your stuff. The staff I have met while I've been there have been amazing.

Positive experience: Nicely equipped but this was my first visit (I bought a day pass) and the whole experience was very unwelcoming. No smile, no welcome, no tour. Just let me in and walked off. It's a big gym so finding anything you need took a long time

Fantastic experience: Very clean, everything feels good and the fact that is 24/7 allows you to go in at night time when you find everything available to train.

Negative experience: It's a gym with all the machines you can think of. It's a downfall... It's really dark. It's aiming to be more trendy to a younger crowd. Whilst I understand what you're trying to achieve. The staff are friendly but seem to have a lack of motivation (everyone loves a free gym membership) There aren't any real negatives apart from my own preferences and requirements. All I can say is that this gym isn't for me.

Positive experience: Great range of equipment and being 24 hours is amazing. The entry system takes a while to get use to. 18 months still get problems with the entry system.

Negative experience: My first time attending thinford gym with my son I walked in noone said can I help you at all. As we were stood no knowing what to do. I went to the desk and asked if someone could help us or show us around and that he took one look at me and said cardio is upstsirs and weights downstairs and that was it oh and where toilets were Feeling rather deflated we walked upstairs and noone around to help with the working of machines. It took me all my strength to get up nd go to go to the gym as I been a member for a year and only been once to Newton aycliffe and one. As I'm over weight and suffer from anxiety as well. I'm so disappointed with at the level of service or lack of it.

Positive experience: Had issues getting in with the barcode, and as it was 07:30 and the gym is in attended until 08:00 had to stand around and wait. Luckily the staff member came in 20mins early for his shift and let me in, but that would be a big problem if you had to wait longer. Now for the gym itself, very well equipped and quite spacious... Plenty to keep people busy. I would imagine it will get very busy depending on the time of day. Also the locker rooms aren't open until the staff come in.
