Fantastic experience: large gym, plenty of free parking and in the retail park so can go grocery shopping after. very convenient location and lots of machines and so far it has never been super busy so there is always space to do your own workout

Positive experience: A good gym, very spacious, never have to wait for a machine and excellent value for money. My only criticism is it’s way too hot in here during winter months !

Fantastic experience: Affordable and very spacious. Worker James has been very awesome, friendly and approachable. Easy to find, and all machines in great working condition. Using these facilities while I’m in visiting from Canada. Highly recommend!

Negative experience: Cut my membership, awful place and there's a reason why it's full of unfit fat people. Took my shoes of to get a better deadlift and was told I wasn't allowed. I thought ok that's fine and did not argue as they gave a reason why. Basically a 5 second interaction "you are not allowed to take your shoes off because it's not safe" I said "ok that's fine" I put my shoes back on. I thought that was that. But the weak fat trainer decided to put an official complaint to try to escalate the matter. What made things worse is I had just paid for the month and decided to find another gym. They took my money and also didn't give me my final month's access. I would have given this place a minus 5 if I could.

Fantastic experience: I thoroughly enjoy coming to this gym. It's so friendly, I don't feel uncomfortable in the slightest. I do to the morning classes which are strength and and sweat, which I find absolutely brilliant, the staff are all so nice, helpful and encouraging especially Darcy who always pushes me to do my best. The gym is always so clean I shower there most times i go and they always clean and the water lovely and warm. There is definitely a sense of warmth with all the staff which spreads to all of us which makes our gym visit a good one. Would 100% recommend this gym, also, Darcy is an excellent PT who has helped me grow in confidence in the gym, I've learned to use the machine safely and well, which im really enjoying. EXCELLENT GYM AND EXCELLENT STAFF

Fantastic experience: Great gym, lots of space so even if it's busy there's plenty of equipment to use. Regularly see staff cleaning general areas and machinery. Staff are friendly too, never felt uncomfortable using gym even though I'm not an avid gym goer.

Fantastic experience: As a relative newcomer to this fitness malarkey the Gym Group Swindon has been everything I've needed it to be in my training journey. It's got a really welcoming and comfortable vibe, loads of different equipment, free weights, cardio...... etc and a bunch of fab instructors who are always happy to help you out! I love the classes - Monday & Friday morning Sweat 45 with Darcey is not for the faint hearted, but he has an infectious enthusiasm that always pushes you through (as well as a fab playlist ) Great app that allows you to check capacity, book classes and record workout. A thumbs up from me

Fantastic experience: I joined The gym June 23’ , at the beginning l was a bit apprehensive about the open plan style because l was mainly interested in the classes but soon enough l bonded with some lovely people and couldn’t wait for the next class. Recently I have been training with Darcy one of the trainers, it’s definitely the best experience in my getting fit journey . He’s tough, friendly, firm and we are getting results, he successfully got me coming to gym 5am in the mornings, couldn’t think of a better way to start my day. Will defo recommend The gym. Atmosphere is great .

Fantastic experience: I’ve tried most gyms in Swindon, and the gym group by far is my fav! Its very comfortable and laid back, which for me is perfect for no dodgey looks whilst dancing in-between sets! There are always trainers around and available to help, I always like to get a second opinion making sure I’m using the machines correctly. When you sign up, they offer a variety of classes to get you started, or if you prefer group training. It’s very spacious, it has peak times but also quiet times if you prefer. It’s my happy place, and will always recommend ❤️

Fantastic experience: What can I say, absolutely brilliant I change my gym to the gym group Swindon and I can honestly say it was the right thing to do, had some technical issues at the beginning but the staff was more then accommodating while my issue was sorted, all of the staff have been welcoming and supportive while attending, the equipment is of a hight standard and easy to use and understand, plenty of space throughout and a massive selection of free weights available, the overall atmosphere is fantastic and most of the people are polite, I feel the price of the membership is reasonable and the onsite yanga sports water is definitely worth the money you pay. I would just like to reach out and thank the team at the gym group Swindon for making my experience at the gym enjoyable

Fantastic experience: The Gym Group Swindon is without a doubt one of the best gyms I’ve been a member of in Swindon. The gym team and PT’s are super friendly, always there to help and always keep the kit immaculate. They regularly clean down all machines/equipment and they’re constantly tidying, very impressed! Loads of kit to choose from and a lovey open space feel, unlike multiple other gyms in Swindon that are crammed in! Great work the Gym Group Swindon, keep smashing it

Negative experience: NOT 24/7. Overall the gym group is terrible. They charge a £15 “admin” fee for a late payment too… lol

Positive experience: Nice open space. Lots of machines. Music is terrible. New classes are better as they are now 45 min long. Tom is a fantastic instructor, really inclusive, energises you. You have the option of PT. I can't recommend James enough. After my knee replacement I could only leg press 10 kilos, 2yrs on can now do 140kg. Great encouragement, pushes you, whilst working with your injuries. Great value for money.

Positive experience: Had a look at this gym today. Lots of equipment in here. Nice to see some kick bags for a boxing or martial arts work out, area. Not sure on the membership plans, seems a trick to entice you in with a cheap offer! But you have to take a look closely at what they offer, that it will suit you and when you can get there It's gonna be on my list to chose from, when I need to recover after my operation

Negative experience: Been coming here for 2 years almost and many regular people I see on a day to day basis. Asked a few people who I knew were regular like myself to jump in or use the equipment whilst they were resting as it was really busy and they refused. Selfish c***s. Even when standing around. Selfish ignorant people. One of the many slogans in the gym says specifically to share equipment when not in use. Would expect it from people who are new to the gym or don't have any gym experience but not from regular experience members like myself. I'll be looking for another gym.

Positive experience: The swindon gym is no longer 24 hours. They need to change their signs, it's misleading. Gym equipment pretty decent, quite spacious Showers can be better, could be hotter and toilets need looking at, quite often it is blocked and unusable.

Negative experience: Staff incredibly rude. It's super busy at pretty much all times

Fantastic experience: Good open space with plenty of equipment available to train practically anything you should require, free lockers available and clean toilets overall a very good gym. Still haven't seen a single member of staff in 5 visits which is unusual but the gym benefits from it as its a self managed space it feels very modern and different to conventional gyms with the usual fitness classes etc running from them and an army of PTs.

Positive experience: 1.5x More expensive than Wolverhampton gym, fewer machine choices. NOT 24 HOURS AS ADVERTISED. When not comparing to other The Gym locations, it’s good gym, with lots of open spaces, great AC, wide variety of machines. Not enough mat space in my opinion, and the open-air toilet design perturbs me!

Positive experience: Great gym, but on website and emails that I received keep saying that is a gym “we’re the lowest cost 24/7 nationwide gym”. And the gym in Swindon close at 23:00.

Fantastic experience: Tidy and clean place for your workout. Although quite busy, however you can do everything you need, options to get PT. Well planned area so you have enough space between benches, machines etc.

Positive experience: The gym itself is big, but there isn't much equipmen. Also, there are only 2 platforms.

Negative experience: Not 24 hour anymore, price of membership is outrageous considering its only open till 11PM, putrid smell that comes from near the water fountains sometimes and hand soap has not been re filled in the male bathrooms for a few days now

Negative experience: No longer a 24/7 gym which is quite disappointing given that it's pretty much a bare minimum for gyms at this point. I've had my membership when it was advertised as a 24/7 gym and now after the change they have not reduced their prices or given those with an existing membership any of their money back. Not to mention the random shut downs for renovations only for everything to be the same.
