Fantastic experience: Rejoined The Gym now that I have completed C25K during the summer/autumn and the weather has turned. Decided I needed to do some short sharp all round cardio/core classes and Lutalo’s circuits class hits the spot. Started with just the 30 minute sessions of warm up, 2 circuits, warm down, and just finished my first 45 minute 3-circuit class. Excellent instruction and motivation from Lutalo. Hoping to increase the number of sessions as I get back to fitness.

Positive experience: Unfortunately although gym is well equipped you can't get into classes unless your booking two weeks in advanced despite paying for that specific service within my membership

Fantastic experience: The gym is excellent overall, boasting a great variety of machines and a clean, well-organized environment. The managers are consistently present and exceptionally friendly, offering support and information whenever needed. Lutalo, one of the managers and personal trainers, stands out for his incredible dedication, always motivating me to give my all during workouts. I'm thrilled with the progress I've made under his guidance.

Negative experience: When classes are on there is no where to workout. Especially busy times with classes you aren’t able to do functional workouts. The equipment is outdated, does need an update. Takes a while for machines to be fixed when they are broken. They don’t allow posing practice even when wearing full workout gear which is a shame as The Gym Group is all about welcoming all types of sports. However men are always posing in the mirror. I was told to go else where and leave.

Negative experience: Used to go fairly religiously before Covid shut it all down and finally found the time and energy to return. Bought the additional option of the Yanga Water too. Now going on to my fourth day and the Yanga water disepsner is still out of action (bearing in mind you have to pay an additional monthly subscription for this!) It always has the same note saying they are looking to rectify this with the upmost importance. Nonsense. Extremely disappointed Edit : Now 5 days consecutively

Positive experience: In many respects, this gym delivers what it promises in terms of value and accessibility. The gym equipment is also varied and well maintained. The gym atmosphere is positive and bright and the staff are very friendly and approachable. Kieran Plant stands out due to his enthusiasm and positivity and is a great advocate for the gym. My only negative is the state of the men’s changing rooms and toilets which are not always maintained to a “sparkling” standard. The toilets in particular lack pressure to flush adequately imo. That said, the Hemel branch of the Gym Group is better than its peers.. Go and give it a go!

He makes you feel so welcomed and seems to personally pay attention to keeping this gym not only very tidy but also flowing with an upbeat vibe.
