Negative experience: Bizzare experience at the cafe yesterday. It was a busy day with all the tables occupied, but around 20 empty seats at the rear at a high bar with stools. I ordered a cup of tea but on my way to sit at the back, a member of staff physically blocked my way, a bit like a policeman at the cordon to a crime scene. Where are you going? She asked. I asked if it was OK to sit at the back with my tea. NO she replied angrily. Those seats are only for people ordering food. As there were no seats available at the front of the cafe and I didn’t have a takeaway cup, I had to leave without having my drink. It was also a bit embarrassing, like being told off publicly by the school headteacher. I was going to give a one star review, but on reflection, I’ve added one on because if you are a submissive type who enjoys being bossed about by stern women for breaking the rules, you might love it here.

Fantastic experience: Great Coffee center, lovely spot popular for remote workers with free wifi. The restaurant in the back days it opens at 11 on weekdays but can be a bit slow to open some days. Lovely people

Fantastic experience: the best pub I've ever been to. even though the music here is very pleasant and I could work in peace. Additionally, a huge thank you to the gentleman who made me a unique mint tea it was perfect, he simply created the simplest tea in the world for me, fresh mint and water - I was impressed and my tummy was happy too - thank you. Generally, the wonderful atmosphere of this place, beautiful interior and fantastic service - I recommend

Fantastic experience: Great cafe, they make amazing coffee and have a few pastries which are okay. Staff are very friendly. It’s a nice place to sit, great atmosphere with big windows letting lots of sunlight in. Only downside is the card machine asks for a tip which I find awkward, something not very common in the UK and in my opinion makes a business look bad. As for food, I’ve only tried the tacos so far. They’re fine but not amazing, while being on the pricey side. Overall I still give here a 5 star rating because I quite like coming here for coffee and relaxing, it’s a good spot to chill out for a while compared to a lot of other cafes in peckham

Fantastic experience: Not from this side of London, came just to sit and chill. Decided to get some food and it was definitely worth it. The staff are warming and friendly and the vibes are unmatched. Showed the euros too, my type of setting to watch football. Will defo come again if in the area.

Fantastic experience: New Nativo Peckham, inside the Market, now rebranded as CORNERHOUSE, bar and brand new food hall. Once again trying their food and was worth the commuting. Tasty menu with enough option! Vegetarian, vegan, gluten free options and for meat lovers they have chicken yakitori, pork belly tacos, a delicious Argentinean steak with a chimichurri to die for. Cheesy stuffed arepas with fresh toppings among other options. They have a bento box available weekdays at a bargain price. Tried a refreshing home made mate ibiscus flower ice tea. Definitely a place to go back. Enough room for everyone in the food hall.

Fantastic experience: We decided to sit at The Laughing Yak which offers Nepalese cuisine. We ordered the following: Appetizers 1) Crispy Sweet Chilli Lamb with scotch bonnet & coriander jam 2) Buffalo Momo (see picture) Main 1)Thukpa: Pokhara Chicken (see picture) This was the only main course with meat on the menu so we both got the same dish. Everything tasted incredible, the quality and quantity of the food was great and although we waited a bit long to get the food, it was definitely worth it. A nice touch was the cucumber/mint water that they served us for free. We paid about 25 pounds per person which I think it is very reasonable for London standards. Great place!

Fantastic experience: Been to Peckham Audio in the basement a few times but checked out Mambow in the back of the ground floor last night. Food is amazing, and the other places there looked great too - definitely coming back!
