Fantastic experience: Ive been going to Zone 45 at Helio fitness for about 6 weeks now, and from my first trial session Kirsty has been nothing but supportive, motivating and encouraging. Can’t recommend it enough, really friendly group of ladies too in a really non intimidating environment, as i have found some previous group classes can be. Highly recommend!!

Negative experience: It was my first and last visit at this place! Old equipment, nasty staff and the smell ughhhh.... I wouldn't recommend it to my worst enemy!

Negative experience: When I was signing up, I have asked for a membership with one off payment, as most of the time, I am away from home and didn't want to pay any subscription for something, I will not be using. Neil, the owner said that this is not a problem, and as soon as I sign up, he will cancel my membership straight after, that way, I will only pay for a month, when I will be attending the gym. When I was I away, I soon found out, I have been charged twice for the period I wasn't even on the continent! I have asked Neil to return my money on the very same day, when I was charged, but he did not want to return my money hiding behind a return policy. BE CAREFUL WITH YOUR DIRECT DEBIT.

Fantastic experience: Loving Zone45 sessions. I can’t thank Kirsty who runs the sessions for her expertise, support and making great sessions so much fun. It’s great that you can work at your own level of fitness and Kirsty will advise on how to improve and get the results you want. I would definitely recommend Zone45.

Fantastic experience: I attend zone 45 kirsty the instructor is just amazing very motivating ensure you have great form and pushes you to woek harder, groups are small and friendly, kirsty creates a community support and cultivates a culture of women empowering other women , the only down side is the cost , it is quite expensive,

Positive experience: Good gym with a wide range of equipment available. There are plenty of lockers available to use for free, and vending machines are available to buy shakes and drinks from. Plus, there's a water fountain to fill up your water bottle. I don't usually struggle with parking as I come at quieter times. The staff have always been friendly. I like the area decorated to be feminine with plenty of equipment that focuses on glutes and legs, as well as mats and weights. As someone who doesn't like exercising in front of a group of people, it's greatly appreciated. The only negative I can mention is that the shower facilities could be better (ladies' side). One shower doesn't seem to have a working light while the other one, which I have used, is in need of repair as the temperature knob appears to be broken, the knob to turn it on isn't fairing much better and the shower doesn't produce a lot of pressure.

Fantastic experience: I hate gyms, never settled in them, until I joined Helio in Blackpool, I’m so glad I decided to go, never felt so welcome by not just the instructor Kirsty but by the whole group, Kirsty is full of energy which transfers onto you as you do your workout, I’m into my 3rd week and loving every session, lots of support given.

Fantastic experience: Really recommend this gym. I messaged this gym last month to enquire, Neil was helpful and there was zero pressure. I went in and met with Kirsty who was so friendly and immediately was put me at ease! I joined in with the class that evening and everyone was so lovely! The support and friendliness from everyone is something I’ve never experienced in any other gym! Kirsty is a fab instructor and I’m really enjoying the sessions.

If on the other hand you want a place full of posing kids and steroid hungry goons then this is really not the place for you.

Positive experience: Very basic, small, very old equipment and not very clean, especially compared to other gyms like The Gym and The Village which are very new looking and modern. However, it is cheap and not busy in that you can always get a machine. I went in the evening on a weekday and there was hardly anyone there, so if you disdain crowded gyms it's a good choice. Also, no contract which is handy and the staff are polite. However, I noticed the cardio machines are rickety and shaky, in particular the cross trainers which seem to shake wobble and jerk a lot which bothered me, but they serve their purpose as an exercise machine.

Positive experience: Recent one star was an error. Good from the point of view of never too busy. As mentioned previously equipment should be wiped down regularly especially the blue crash mats which smell stale. Again mentioned a few times the Olympic bar upstairs requires collars which fit the bar properly. There was a shortage of coins for the lockers the last four or five times I visited. Staff could offer more regular guidance to customers who seem 'lost' as to useing the equipment properly.

Positive experience: A good, clean gym with friendly staff. Doesn't get too busy either which is good. Miss having a hack squat though as I can't squat or leg press & have to train elsewhere for leg day. Lots of cardio equipment upstairs and decent opening times.

Positive experience: Decent sized on 2 floors, well maintained and clean, up to date with classes. Personal training, website with timetable. Good location and usually quite a bit of room on car park during the day. Good price, monthly payment.
