Fantastic experience: Not massive space, but with a decent selection of equipment and very friendly staff. It was very quiet when I went near midday, and I'd definitely recommend it to anyone who needs to get a quick workout in

Fantastic experience: I had a lovely evening with my uni friend. I had called up beforehand requesting if they offer boxing gloves and pads to use. The woman over the phone was lovely and supported us with a day pass as well as explaining the facilities to us. I would recommend to anyone looking for a safe and family friendly gym that isn't too busy.

Fantastic experience: It's a calm and quiet gym. Not for high level professional body building training but adequate for all levels of fitness training. Plenty of weights!!!

Fantastic experience: Used the YMCA gym several times during a holiday visit to Bath. The staff were so helpful and always friendly. The facility is clean, it had all the gear I needed, was open reasonable hours and was never overly busy when I visited (early morning).

Fantastic experience: My wife and I prefer the YMCA over other gyms in Bath. At the YMCW you will find an excellent knowledgable team, willing to help meet your goals in a nice friendly way. Whether you want to work on our own, or work as part of one of the many classes or be motivated with a personal trainer. We do all of these. And thoroughly enjoy them….. When training, our PT, Neil, takes time to understand our needs and limitations and always comes up with a good and varied set of exercises for our sessions that on the one hand work on our core and mobility whilst on the other hand increase our general power and aerobic ability. Neil helps select the classes we attend and, along with the class instructor, keeps a careful watch to ensure we do the exercises correctly and don’t exceed our limits. And the team are always on hand to help and pass on hints and tips when we work on our own. There is always a set of friendly challenges each month to enhance the fun of exercise. We have recommended Neil, the YMCA gym and the team to our friends - and many are now regulars. Thank you and well done everyone.

Fantastic experience: This gym is a secret gem, (half hidden with its entrance in a quaint little courtyard up some secret steps just across the road from Bath Waitrose). It's not one of those daunting, anonymous, industrial-type gyms crammed with rows of competitive clones on tight-packed machines. On the contrary, it's a bright, spacious, sunny haven, with skilful, friendly staff who go out of their way to make all their clientele welcome and at ease. The clientele is varied, ranging from the already hyperfit to complete beginners, both sexes, all ages. There is lots of great equipment, enough space to use it or to work out without it, (and great views across Bath from the running machines...) and an impressive range of classes all free to members. Personal training is available and well worth the expenditure if you want to take your fitness journey to a new level (a special shout out for funny, clever, human dynamo Annie...) but whatever journey you are on, you'll enjoy it here.

Fantastic experience: A great gym with a unique sense of community. I love the mix of ages and abilities as it makes you comfortable and unintimidated. Friendly staff, knowledgeable class instructors, and caring management. A good selection of equipment and many different classes to choose from.

Positive experience: I love the YMCA Gym! Been a member for 10 years and the camaraderie between staff, members and Management makes it an easy and un judgemental place to train. The classes are great and varied and the newest PTs Annie and Matt are always on hand to help if requested. Overall it’s my home from home and I cannot recommend it enough.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been coming to the ymca gym for 2 years now. Never thought I’d enjoy going to the gym but the staff made me feel so comfortable they are incredible, so friendly and helpful. The gym has great equipment and floor space to work out and the classes are fun and varied. It is often the highlight of my day ☺️

Fantastic experience: Fantastic, friendly and helpful gym. Simon and his team have taken what was already a hidden gem and made it even better. Never too busy and is really welcoming for new members.

Negative experience: I’ve been going here for over half a year with no complaints but today, when I brought my gf, a creepy bald guy stared at us through the mirror our whole workout and then made a creepy comment as we left. When I told the receptionist about this he refuted my accusation saying ‘he’s not a weirdo he’s a lovely guy’. Awful experience -10000/10

Fantastic experience: Since moving to Bath this is my preferred gym. It is smaller than the bigger gym which offers a more personal experience and it also doesn't get so busy you can't use any equipment (this has been my previous experience with other larger gyms). The equipment is up to date and I always get an excellent workout and as I'm a qualified personal trainer this is important to me. The staff and trainers are knowledgeable and friendly and the monthly fees are very competitive. There are also classes available. Highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: A friendly and welcoming gym for all. With a good range of fitness classes. The staff are helpful and unlike some gyms there is no atmosphere or edge. Has latest technogym cardio and weight machines. All are welcome regardless of ability or fitness. You will meet many different people. Worth a visit!

I have seen big changes in my fitness, and I would highly recommend visiting. 6 years on and still a very welcoming gym, with a great community feel. Lots of friends made and still highly recommended.
