Fantastic experience: Unique is the best gym in Durham. Whether you’re looking for a great mix of classes, 121 personal training or the perfect space to train by yourself, Unique has everything you need. I’ve been a member of this gym for over 4 years after being a member of a number of other gyms previously and I’ve never thought about training anywhere else since joining. All staff are friendly and take an interest in what you’re looking to achieve from your training. Highly recommended.

Fantastic experience: Started going to this gym for PT. Was welcomed by amazing friendly staff and the other gym users are great. The atmosphere is really warm and friendly. Great selection of classes and huge availability of weights and machines to help you achieve those personal goals. There are a selection of membership options. Give the free 7 day free trial ago and I’m sure you will want to join

Fantastic experience: Lovely staff, good use of equipment. A gym to feel comfortable

Negative experience: They use aggressive tactics and dodgy recruitment agencies to get you to sign up then don't let you cancel. Their equipment is not well maintained, absolutely do not get involved with them it will come back to bite you. The Legion and UltraFlex which are near by are much friendlier environments, much better equipment and the staff actually are approachable and helpful.

Fantastic experience: Clean, well maintained, excellent variety of machines and weights. Open late on weekdays and staff are always happy to help with form if you’re unsure. Not too busy even at peak times, peak membership lets you join any of a large range of classes, weights to boxing. Highly recommend. Been a member for years, not gonna stop any time soon. Shout out Emiliano, pick up a class with him sometime.

Fantastic experience: First session today and staff were brilliant. I was shown around last week but did some orienteering of the gym equipment today and had a shoulder workout and really enjoyed it, and the atmosphere was great.

Fantastic experience: I started using the gym due to my PT being based there, it’s very spacious and has a lot of equipment. Although there are a lot of members/people going to private PT sessions, there has never been a time where it felt to busy and I couldn’t use the equipment I wanted to. All the staff and gym goers are really friendly which eliminates any gym anxiety.

Fantastic experience: Great facility and staff. I signed up to a 6 week Transformation style programme with Phil Bowler after 2 years of doing no exercise and can honestly say it’s the best thing I could of done for both my physical and mental health. After losing over a stone in weight and a couple inches of my chest and waist I signed up to a second programme and joined the gym. Exercises are at your own pace and ability with continuous encouragement and guidance. Well worth taking the challenge and highly recommended.

Positive experience: No experience other than being shown around by the owner. Looks pretty good. I will have my first visit tomorrow....28th September 2020.

Fantastic experience: Excellent gym withe extra special thanks to personal trainer Dean who has helped me loose 1St 12 lbs and dragged me form a overweight unfit person and got me on the road to fitness again again excellent gym and services can't recommend enough.

Fantastic experience: Amazing gym, great modern, stylish equipment, very likeable and kind people that were willing to help at anytime. The changing rooms and showers were always clean and tidy, and included free pads, which was such a pleasant suprise! A good selection of weights, including lower weights, which matters to a short woman like me. They also sell awesome merch, I got a super warm sweatshirt with their logo. Overall a superb gym with an inviting atmosphere :)

Fantastic experience: Been to a few gyms and always had to annoyance of fighting for equipment, but never seem to have the issue at Gym Unique. Instead of having a massive amount of rowing, running and cross trainers they have flipped it and added more weight equipment. The staff are friendly and will get to know you, the co creature Chris seems to always step beyound where gym gyms fail. Going out his way to chat to people and push new events in the gym. Would suggest everyone gives it a go before signing the 12 month contract at another gym.

Positive experience: used this gym as a taster before deciding to use permanently - waited at reception while someone ignored me for a few minutes until I asked to use the gym... bit strange, i was asked to fill in an induction form but was not shown around or given info... equipment is good, was fairly quiet on a sunday afternoon

All the staff are really friendly and always make you feel welcome. If you are struggling to figure out how to do a certain exercise they are always there to give a hand and pointers. The range of classes that are available are amazing as there is something for everyone.
