Negative experience: Moved from JD to The Gym because of the 3 month discount offer. Although The Gym is cheap, would not recommend it because compared to JD you have less equipment and the equipment is old and fidgety with seats wobbling around. The weights are old, overall lacks aesthetic appeal.

Fantastic experience: A fantastic gym with the best staff/PT’s who are always willing to go that extra mile for anyone who walks through the door with Rich standing out in particular! In a nutshell, great communication regarding any planned closures, great membership plans & most of all, accommodating to all regardless of fitness experience! Can’t recommend this gym enough! Fantastic experience: Been coming to this gym for around 2 years now and it is brilliant. From the rock bottom prices to the facilities, cleanliness, it really does have it all. The staff are amazing and always professional, courteous and actually know what they are talking about. I'd like to thank John (manager) for his unwavering consistency in taking care of every single person in the gym. It hasn't gone unnoticed also helping me whilst having difficulties with progression and even my personal issues. They really go above and beyond.

Fantastic experience: Been coming to this gym for almost 2 years now and hands down the best one I've gone to. The place is always clean and weights are put back in order so it's easy to find what I need. The people working here are so helpful and are always free to advice you if you need help with an exercise or are looking for a change. Since taking this more seriously John always checks up on my progress and gives tips and tricks on how I can possibly improve or change my routine to further improve. Would highly recommend for anyone looking for a place to start their gym

Fantastic experience: Can’t thank all the staff at The Gym group enough for the constant support, coaching , enthusiasm and encouragement they’ve given me on my marathon training journey. They took an unfit overweight grandmother of 5 and turned me into a fit strong marathon runner in under a year. I couldn’t have done it without them! Leg and core strength has been keen to my success, I only ran one long run a week and did 3 gym sessions/classes a week. Hyrox is my next challenge, together with The gym group I know I’ll succeed!

Fantastic experience: The Cheltenham Gym is well equipped with cardio vascular variety, modern machines for every body part and free weights for serious sports persons. The atmosphere is welcoming and never intimidating which attracts all ages. I feel this is achieved by the competent and friendly management team, Richard and John who interact with members whilst supervising cleanliness and other tasks. We have been happy members for over a year and have no intention of changing. Alf and Doriana.

Fantastic experience: Haven't been to a gym for a very long time, so was pleasantly surprised when I signed up, great layout and facilities, very friendly at whatever time of day you go.
Negative experience: I attended for class. Mixed views on the trainers. Some were first class and really engaged with the class and actually coached. George is a 5 star. Others it felt like a chore for them and classes felt like they were an afterthought. Little guidance on technique. Often cut short by 5min. Changed to another gym and the classes are massively better.

Fantastic experience: It was beyond my expectations. It was a wonderful first experience at this gym. Have every single piece of equipment you could possibly think of (well, all the machines and attachments I was expecting and i was expecting a lot). It is worth the price and the time.

Positive experience: Good gym, enough equipment. Sometimes quite busy so pick your hours. App helps with this a lot. Also, body composition tracker available on the upgraded membership is extremely useful and good for measuring progress.

Fantastic experience: I found the gym extremely clean and tidy. The layout of machines and floor space required, had clearly been given a lot of thought. I found the staff helpful and welcoming. I would really recommend this gym to anyone who isn't a fan of the "muscle" sheds or back street gyms. This is a great place to go and caters for whatever you wish to work on. A gym that meets the needs of its customers without any pressure placed upon you but there to offer help, guidance, PT or additional classes if you want it!

Negative experience: I’m giving 1 star for cleanliness and 1 star for good equipment. However, I cancelled my membership today as the gym is almost always packed. I don’t understand how the capacity is around 160 people as the building is not big enough for this (on the app it shows as 31% with 50 people). Even with 40-50 people inside it is difficult to find a space, use equipment, get a bench etc. For me it is just too busy all the time so this really knocks it down for me. I go during quieter day time hours too and I am lucky if there is less than 35 people in there whenever I do go. I miss gyms 5+ years ago when they weren’t always overly packed when you chose to go at off peak times. And if you aren’t body confident I don’t recommend this gym. I am not in shape at the moment and won’t use a lot of the equipment as it is so open plan and busy so it makes you feel really uncomfortable. *edit* I’ve now removed another star for removing my access to the gym even though I’ve paid for a full month because the only way to cancel is to cancel your direct debit. It should allow you access until your last day paid. And for the generic response that clearly didn’t pay attention to my review.

Positive experience: 3rd gym I've been to this year. Positives - new equipment and lots of it, clean, good value, plenty of parking, 24hour and easy entry and exit process Negatives - its busy. Real busy. Sometimes you may have to adjust your routine if you like some of the more popular equipment or have a back up exercise ready. Need a fair bit of body confidence due to the number of people in there.

Fantastic experience: Have been quite a few times over the last couple of weeks and the equipment is great, people are friendly and generally pretty good about racking weights and cleaning up after themselves. Superb value for money. A special shout out to PT George who helped me with using straps for the first time and went out of his way to help me, even though he wasn't on shift and doing his own workout. Clearly knows his stuff and if I was staying longer I'd hit him up for some training sessions. Definitely recommend. Thanks!

Negative experience: Absolutely terrible service and completely rude member of staff on Christmas Eve, at 15:17. 2021 Wouldn’t return or recommend in the slightest. Shocking, how rude people actually are. Thanks for your great Christmas spirit.

Positive experience: A decent gym with plenty of space. Equipment is kept in great condition. It doesn't have the greatest variety of machines I've seen in a gym but there's more than enough for most people. Great staff, always friendly and welcoming.

Negative experience: gym itself it’s fine, i started my fitness journey here and still come back every now and then. but the people who train here are awful. constantly walking away leaving their bars loaded, walking up to me while im mid set to try and talk to me, someone even tried to start unloading my bar and use it while i was on a rest. don’t expect the plates to be put back in the right order either. good kit and nice that it’s open 24/7, but if terrible gym etiquette bothers you then don’t go here.

Fantastic experience: Very low cost 24 hour gym. Equipment is in good condition and is a reasonable variety given its a commercial gym. location has ample parking and only gets exceptionally busy at peak times (around 6-8 pm in the evenings). Staff are friendly and always willing to help out or answer any questions.

Positive experience: Clean and modern. There's plenty of parking as well. It's an easy contact and not expensive. Be aware that it does get busy at peak times, but it is open 24/7.
