Fantastic experience: I’ve not stayed here yet so can’t rate the rooms but had a lovely family lunch recently, food was so fresh and tasted incredible. Often at these types of venues service can let them down, but not here, nothing was too much trouble and everyone was so helpful. This feels like a hidden gem and I’m looking forward to visiting and staying around Christmas.

Fantastic experience: Lovely place to join for gym , classes and relaxing time in hot tubs , amazing club with lowly amazing lady zeba She is very helpful and during the membership I email her a lot and ask her lots of question and she is responding so quick and very very helping me , thank you so much and I really enjoy the club . Fantastic experience: Looking to find new gym with pool and booked a tour at Wickwoods as part of David Lloyd group. Thanks so much to the brilliant ladies in Sales, Zeba and Ellie. They clearly love what they do and are passionate about every aspect of a wonderful club. This was my second visit and nothing was too much trouble. Previous visit was as a guest of friend and included a Sunday lunch, arguably one of the best roasts I have eaten in Sussex recently... superb. Thank you Ellie & Zeba.

Negative experience: I don't enjoy paying a lot of money to be treated like garbage. It was good a good gym with pool but now terrible. When I joined back in February 2024 it was the closest gym with a pool to our house; even though it was quite expensive then it was nice, quiet and had enough equipment. The pool was small but you could book your own lane which was great. It was good for the first month or two then started to get neglected. The changing rooms and gym are very dirty now (less clean than K2 or Triangle) and i go various times of day and it is always very dirty, especially in the changing rooms where dirt comes in from muddy shoes. The Air con hasn't been working in the mens changing room for at least 2 months now and various mold is growing out of the tiles in the shower area. They are about to close the pool for 3 months but are not offering a discount to the rate I am paying. So now its full price for a sub-standard gym with no pool and covered in dirt. We took the offer to go to the Marina to use the pool but the marina is very bad compared to K2 or Triangle (both the facilities and cleanliness are worse) and I couldnt get in the pool due to classes there. I did send my concerns in to the david lloyds email and the best they could do is offer for me to pay £80 extra per month to not attend while the pool is being renovated, they are not allowing a reduction in rate or allowing me to cancel membership. The shower gel smells nice. The chips were good if they still sell them. The pool and cafe staff are nice and friendly and i went to one class which was good.

Positive experience: A little off the beaten tracks however, a nice place to have a get away. Quite and definitely gogeous location with the staff being as friendly as expected as well. PS: the washrooms are pretty clean with the provision of moisturisers and other amenities. The little things matter.

Fantastic experience: We had such a lovely visit to Wickwoods. The bed and breakfast package was fantastic value and the atmosphere and everything about our visit felt comfortable and luxurious without feeling pretentious. The indoor tennis courts were amazing and brilliant to have that included in the stay and the outdoor spa area was so relaxing. The food in the restaurant was delicious and again superb value. We will definitely be back

Fantastic experience: I had a day spa experience as was given as a gift for my birthday and had such a lovely time. The facilities were great and the service overall was exceptional from the moment I walked through the door. I also wanted to say how amazing Ingrid the gym instructor was. I had a PT session and attended her LB&Ts class in the morning, she was really good and definitely motivated me! Highly recommend all round.

Fantastic experience: First time trying Hot Stone massage, loved it, very relaxing, fall asleep, medium to firm pressure is the way to go with this massage. Thank you at Farrah-spa therapist.

Fantastic experience: I had a great experience at an osteoporosis seminar and Pilates workshop run by Ingrid. She gave us a wealth of knowledge and also took us through exercises that would strengthen our bones, while taking into account very sensitively of people’s individual needs. Much appreciation!

Fantastic experience: Ingrid is an exceptional Personal Trainer. She has a detailed understanding of my physical disabilities through her knowledge and research and she matches her exercises to my needs so that my sessions with her are extremely beneficial for me.

Positive experience: We booked three spare treatments, the massage started good, but lacked lustre after the back was done. The feet or neck were not touched in the massage which is an important part of massage, it should of been 55 mins, but part of that time was taken up by booking in, waiting for doors of spa to open, my treatment booked for 9am but didn’t start treatment until 9.15am. I think the spa should allow time for this and not taken off the treatment time. The lady who did the treatment was very pleasant and probably facing too long a shift. The food was average, very disappointed with the quality of the food for a four star rating hotel, the vegetarian food was very bland, breakfast was not impressive I’m sorry to say. The room was clean, but had a hole in the wall where the vent should have been, mouldy plastic shower curtain, not what you expect for a £165 room. Needs some updating. Lovely surroundings, but unfortunately will not return.

Fantastic experience: Just want to say a huge big thank you to Jen & all the lovely staff that made the Wedding reception & evening celebration of our son & now daughter-in-law such a wonderful & memorable occasion. It took place a couple of weeks ago - the venue was stunning & the staff were so kind & helpful - everyone went over & beyond what was expected. Nothing was too much trouble & any request was met with a friendly smile. Jen was a delight to speak with when trying to plan the day - again, nothing was too much & she ensured that everything ran smoothly. The food was delicious & beautifully presented & the five rooms we stayed in overnight were first class. Thank you from all of us - you really did us proud!! Was a fantastic occasion, which will leave us with many happy memories!

Positive experience: Friendly and helpful staff. Excellent indoor and outdoor courts and gym. Getting very popular, carpark gets very cramped too. Indoor pool is a little on the small side.

I want to give a special thanks to Kathryn, she was wonderful. As a host she was very attentive and made us feel like family. I’ve never experienced service like it, she’s a tribute to the team. Fantastic experience: Wickwoods is a beautiful countryclub in a gorgeous setting. The people are super friendly and warm and it has a nice feel to the place. With works due to start, I hope it retains the current feel that is harmonious with the surrounding nature. The outdoor spa is a particularly nice feature to enjoy and I look forward to seeing the renovations. The gym is a bit small but normally isn't too crowded and again, is due renovation. Looking forward to seeing the upgrades.

Positive experience: We have just had a nice lunch in your Glasshouse restaurant, we dressed up for the occasion as we felt such a nice restaurant deserved it!! Unfortunately we felt that the experience was spoilt by some guests lunching in rather drab grey dressing gowns! Never mind elsewhere when we next celebrate a special occasion!!

Fantastic experience: Spent a couple of nights here for my birthday. What an experience! Location is great, our room was clean and the bed was SO COMFY; had dinner in the evening on our first night, in the greenhouse room, went for a set menu DELICIOUS! Got breakfast with our stay, lots of different options for brekky, went with pancakes and a vegan breakfast with a chai latte again DELICIOUS! Took advantage of the outdoor thermal pool and I also did a spin class which was included with our stay so did not have to pay extra! Facilities were 10/10! Staff were very friendly, smily and accommodating and we even got a late checkout! Will definitely be coming back! Thanks for a memorable stay! 5’s across the board

Fantastic experience: We Had our wedding here a few weeks ago from the moment we arranged a viewing on the venue the communication and service was second to none. The day itself was absolutely incredible and it ran so well the staff were absolutely brilliant so friendly and welcoming nothing seemed to much. Big shout out to Wendy and her team for making our day so amazing .

Positive experience: A lovely place to sit in the sun and have lunch and a catch up over a bottle of fizz! I did have cling film in my chicken Kiev but everything else was lovely! Staff are quite introverted, would be nice if they were a bit more enthusiastic and smiley

Fantastic experience: The setting is great, out in the country. The hanging baskets were beautiful. The food from the set menu was very well done, and the service was very good without being intrusive. A good place to go for a special occasion. I very much enjoyed my experience here.

Fantastic experience: I love Wickwoods. I’ve been a member since 2020 and consider it a home from home. Staff are always kind and friendly, space immaculate, classes and treatments excellent and food good. I had a very serious injury last year and they have bent over backwards to help me access the space and use it to recover my strength and mobility. Very much recommended. Their Sunday lunches are also second to none.

Staff were amazing, had a treatment done and that was fantastic. Place is really looked after and overall lovely place to get away for a couple of days or so.

Fantastic experience: My husband and I have been members of Wickwoods for more than 2 years now and the club has been like our second home. The gym facilities are first-rate, the fitness classes are brilliant (I don’t know how the instructors do it, they have endless energy!), the restaurant is lovely and good value, with good vegan options, and their spa treatment offering is extensive (and the team are a fantastic group of professionals!) Though not a tennis player myself, their tennis facilities are also excellent! We’re moving abroad and are very sad to say goodbye to Wickwoods. Thank you to all the staff for their time and the excellent service!

Positive experience: Nice place, I was having breakfast there which was very nice, but the staff can be a bit rude. I won't be going back.

Fantastic experience: My friend Chris and I had a lovely relaxing Spa Day on Tuesday, it was all great! We particularly liked the outdoor heated pool and whirlpool, such a nice experience to swim in cold weather with fine rain, but totally immersed in the warm water with a a hot sauna too. All the staff were friendly and helpful, the Spa area and changing rooms were spotlessly clean. The food included for lunch was very nice. Our facial treatments by young Claudia were very good. We totally relaxed, and will hopefully return again, 100%recommended!

Positive experience: Mother and daughters spa day finally happened after rescheduling for staff shortages, family pregnancies and major heart surgery. Unfortunately, a therapist called in sick on the day and 2 treatments will be completed at a later date. We all got to have something done though. A very relaxing day, thank you to all the cheerful and helpful staff.

Positive experience: Service needed to be improved a lot . Main course came when we were still eating starters . No offers to refill glasses . Meal was rushed . After we had finished main meal before plates had been removed we were offered the sweet menue when we said can we wait a bit the waitress was clearly not happy and presented us with the sweet menue anyway. Had to grab attention of waitress to get wine glass refilled which was not easy . Staff very miserable apart from the young man who gave us our bill . He was extremely polite . Said bar was still open if we wanted to have a drink in bar after meal and again met with rather rude staff . Very surprised at this as when I have had coffee / lunch never this problem. On the plus side the food was lovely. Sorry wickwards .

Fantastic experience: I have been lucky to visit Wickwoods a few times. Normally I enjoy a yearly spa day with my mum but I was there last weekend as a guest at a friend's wedding. It was set out beautifully, food was delicious, service fantastic and staff a pleasure.

Positive experience: We had a spa day experience here and were blown away by the amazing facilities the club has to offer, with the heated outdoor hydro pool being our absolute favourite. You can't beat sitting in a warm jacuzzi- style pool, gazing at the beautiful blue sky framed by the tall, green trees above you. We were lucky to enjoy our spa day on a sunny day as we could sit on the sun loungers next to the outdoor pool (members only). The experience also included a two course lunch with a drink in the club restaurant. The food was delicious and I'd be happy to go back time and time again (available to non-members too), whereas the staff were really attentive and polite. Our massages were good (1 hour Temple Spa massage), although I felt I needed something more invigorating (just like what Body Base in Portland Road, Hove offers). There's a free car park and the club is only a 15 min drive away from Hove. Will I recommend it? Yes, as it's pretty much the only spa available near Brighton.

Positive experience: I liked everything very much and everyone was very kind. But still I did not like one moment when me and my boyfriend were getting a massage. The girl who gave me a massage laughed and it was difficult for her to restrain herself and pull herself together because of this, there was an impression that something was wrong with me ... And that she was laughing at me .. And at the end of the session, when we discussed procedure with my boyfriend, as it turned out, my boyfriend got a lot more massage of parts of the body than they gave me, although the session is the same ... this is also very interesting

Positive experience: For a health club and spa it is disappointing that “diet” lemonade is not available from the bar… only the full sugar variety. Similarly it would be helpful to have calorie counts on the menus for those of us trying to lose some post-Covid weight gain.

Positive experience: Lovely spot for a wedding,good setting,lovely spacious indoor room and covered outside area also plenty of " running around " space in adjoining gardens for the younger people. Well stocked bar,excellent staff on duty and sensible prices. Buffet was spot on with mini burgers, hot dog rolls ,sandwiches and chips for the young ones,ideal fare for the party . Very nice venue indeed.

What a peaceful place to rest the facilities are lovely but my favourite part was the people. Fantastic experience: A friend treated me to lunch today in the Glasshouse Restaurant at Wickwoods. We actually sat in the marquee overlooking the most beautiful chilled garden. The food was fabulous as was the service. I would recommend to everyone ! Quite refined so just thinking I have young grandchildren....I'm not sure I'd take them there.

Fantastic experience: I would like to thank you for your wonderful service today. My mum visited with my dad and my auntie for lunch. It was my dads 88th birthday and he suffers from dementia and does not go out very often. So the fact he managed to get there, and absolutely loved his meal was just brilliant, but my mum said it was the lovely friendly service that they received that made their day. Days out are precious for my family, and you did make it special for my dad. Many thanks.

Fantastic experience: Amazing venue to hold a wedding. Bar is a bit expensive but expected for the location and high standard of the venue. Really nice outside seating area with thick soft blankets for each guest to use. The staff were polite and helpful at all times. Highly recommend this place

Negative experience: I have never seen such rude and unprofessional reception staff. Arrived today for a quick bite before my son had to tee off at Singing Hills Golf Club. At arrival I politely explained I hadn't booked a table. The three ladies behind reception looked at me as if a dog had dragged me in. I was told the restaurant is full. So I politely said we could sit in the bar/bistro area, apparently that was full too. Then the lady that was standing said it is all reserved for members only. Now if she had any customer service skills, she would have noticed my Wickwoods membership card in my hand. I very clearly remember asking iwhen I signed up if I could bring my son for lunch from time to time as he is away at University and it would be pointless to sign him up. The fact that your staff lied about it being busy is what really winded me up. I can't stand liars! The jobsworth that wouldn't get me a table then obviously told the waiter not to serve us. We waited 15 - 20 minutes then got up and went for a delicious lunch at Singing Hills Golf Club. If that is the window to your business then it needs a good wash! I will cancel my membership as it is just not worth the aggravation I had today.So folks if you are reading this, start playing golf because they are much friendlier than this sad lot!

Negative experience: Booked a 55 minute massage, but only received 40 mins. The massage itself felt rushed and fairly lack-lustre. When I complained, they offered me a another massage at 25% discount... as compensation! Why would I pay for another massage?? When I made it clear I wasn't going to accept that, they said the operations manager was going to call me back, but they never did. Overall, not what I expected and would not go back.

Positive experience: 9 for Sunday Dinner after NYE. Lovely roast and good service

Positive experience: My daughter and I had lunch in The Glasshouse before Christmas. Beautiful surroundings. We both chose the roast beef lunch option. A large plate of food, glad we decided against a 'starter'. A couple of minor 'niggles' . Had to ask for gravy, as they forgot to bring any, and we were asked how we likes the beef cooked, we answered "rare" and it came well done. Not really any point in asking our preference, since it was ignored. Hence only 3 stars.

Fantastic experience: We enjoyed our wedding anniversary dinner on Friday evening. The food, drinks and service were first-rate. A much anticipated "first" outing since restrictions were lifted.

Positive experience: This is a really nice country club. Great grounds and sports facilities, but I am not a member and I tend to use just the Glass House Restaurant which we rate quite highly. The joining and annual fees are unacceptable to us in retirement, not ameliorated by the lack of a joint membership option.

Positive experience: First visit to a restaurant with my wife since Covid started. It was very well spaced and tge staff were all extremely diligent and very nice disposition. Food was very tasty house wine was lovely.
