Fantastic experience: Was there for 7 months before I left Croydon, really good place if you want learn boxing and get a great workout in. Really fairly priced as a newbie I could essentially do 6 classes a week for £45 a month! Staff are friendly and helpful, most notably JJ

Negative experience: Terrible experience. The coach (JJ) denied my child the right to use the toilet and let him wet himself. That is emotional abuse!!!!! He had a duty of care!! I approached him regarding this when I collected my son and he was rude, unapologetic and he continued to work there!!!!! Received an apology from Shane, and offered 1:1 sessions (which never happened); was never refunded. That coach is a disgusting human being, who should not be working with children. My child is still dealing with the emotional impact of that experience. I am very unhappy about the outcome of the situation.

Fantastic experience: Responding to Destiny Chroc . I just wanted to say the head coach isn't being rude its teaching them to be disciplined :)

Negative experience: All coaches are supportive and members are nice. The gym often smells as there is no ventilation and is dirty. Head coach is often rude and claims he is being supportive and motivating. Classes are cheap so if that’s what you are into just go in and leave.

Negative experience: I booked 5 personal training lessons for my teenage son who has Austism Spectrum Disorder. The initial lesson the instructor was late as he said the booking didn't come through even though I received a confirmation email. My son had been enjoying the lessons and I had been booking the lesson via whatsapp messaging directly with the instructor. I've messaged the instructor twice to book the 4th lesson (7th & 10th July) and he messages back at 11pm at night (10th July) saying the time & date isn't good so I reply can he let me know when he can book my son in to receive no response. I also send a email (12th July) that I would like a refund for the remaining two lessons and its been a week with no response so now my autistic son is very upset that he's not going boxing. Messaging the instructor twice is enough I am not running the instructor down I've paid for a service which I'm not receiving. Very disappointed in the poor communication and would just like a refund on the remaining two lessons so I can find a new boxing club and now my son has to start over.

Fantastic experience: I have been training at the academy for more than 6 months, and this place is a complete value for money. All the coaches are very supportive and they try to bring the best out of you in the session. I would definitely recommend this place if you want to learn boxing or want to improve your fitness generally.

Fantastic experience: The team, help you dig deep and commit to every session. They challenge you physically and mentally always giving you constructive criticism when it's due. I've spent the most time with Coach JJ who is very straight forward but attentive to getting you on the right direction. No time for slackers but is willing to help you if you want to help yourself. Thankyou team

Fantastic experience: Friendly Staff , Members , Environment

Negative experience: Was very apprehensive about trying out a new boxing class after training at a different facility. So came along to see what the woman’s only session was like so I could see which I preferred. Its a great facility and Initially I enjoyed the pulse raiser and conditioning elements at the beginning of the session, however as it went on I began to lose interest as skills/drills weren’t really broken down or progressions explained as such. Towards the end of the session we had a cool down/stretch which wasn't really structured, as we were essentially left to our own devices, so unsure how I feel about coming back, maybe I need to try a different class or session altogether…. 1 of the coaches on hand was really helpful, however the 2nd less so- I’m not trying to belittle anybody however, coming from a coaching background myself, shouting across a room at person isn’t always the best or most effective way to motivate a person or works well for everybody.

Fantastic experience: What makes CBA beautiful is that your journey is in your hands. If you’re genuine about your physical and mental development the team will recognise it and aid your growth. Those who wish to simply train from time to time are also treated like family. I’m glad and proud that Croydon stands behind this local Treasure!
