Fantastic experience: First time I went to do a day pass and was very pleased with the service from Timmy at the desk. Very welcoming and friendly went above and beyond for me as it was my first time there. The equipment is 10/10, I love these kinds of gyms. It’s very rare to come across. The gym goers inside are also very friendly and not hostile like the majority of gyms closer to the city. Amazing place definitely recommend

Negative experience: This place used to be great with the previous owner. There is a lesson to be learnt on how quality customer service retains your customers. Tone, consistent information and attitude just lacks with these front desk staff. Was there for a long time but won't be coming back.

Negative experience: This gym needs to really sort out one of their employees, a worker by the name of Timmy is very rude and purposely ignores me and my friends while training, I said and I quote “can I have a towel” and Timmy (the worker) proceeds to be very rude and insists on making me say please for a towel when I’m just trying to train, in the end I did not receive my towel and got ignored from him for the rest of the session. And another occasion I asked a nice worker called baily for a towel and he said no problem, he then asked Timmy to give it to me and he purposely didn’t give it and ignored me when I asked him about it. I think this is very immature and unprofessional especially to the younger people in the gym as I believe if this was a grown adult asking him for a towel he wouldn’t of made a big deal at all.

Fantastic experience: It has the equipment I need and the staff and patrons just about tolerate my sense of humour, but don't let that lower your opinion of them.

Negative experience: Ceiling was leaking Unfriendly and unapproachable Small and not worth the money Man at desk said I was fine to park there, ended up with a £100 parking ticket a week later

Fantastic experience: Brilliant little gym, parking on site and incredibly hot sauna.

Positive experience: I’ve recently been introduced to this gym. It’s a decent gym with some good equipment and i enjoy using the sauna. Unfortunately my experience hasn’t been good as there is a man wearing sunglasses shouting constantly unnecessarily. He uses foul language and is intimidating for a new gym goer like myself

Fantastic experience: Went in today and paid for a day-pass. The guy on reception was very friendly and helpfull..thank you that guy. Great gym more towards your bodybuilding/weight training gym rather than a pretty pure-gym type deal although they cater for all. No450 bus from Crystal Palace stops almost outside.

Fantastic experience: Very chill gym, doesn’t get too packed like those mainstream gyms. Equipment is amazing for building muscle with a womens only area. The kind of equipment you couldn’t find in a mainstream. Welcoming environment and polite staff. Would recommend if you’re trying to get fit or if you’re trying to get big

Negative experience: If you are a Muslim women, I advise you to not go here as they have cameras in the women’s section and is accessible to anyone behind the counter. Was not aware of this, furious.

Fantastic experience: Best Gym around. Loads of equipment. I have never had to wait for equipment. Friendly staff and clients. Great atmosphere for serious lifters.

Fantastic experience: Brilliant gym and equipment. Clean and tidy always.

Negative experience: Be careful of very badly worded and unclear terms and conditions of this gym, the first monthly payment does not count towards your fixed term!?! I ended up having to pay 7 months of a six month contract. They didn’t make this clear when I joined. Be also wary of one of their recommended PTs. I used one male personal trainer, he didn’t show up to four appointments in about 2 months. On the fourth no-show, I asked to cancel my contract with him, he charged me for a missed appointment because I cancelled within 24 hours (23 to be precise). It’s fine for him to cancel last minute, but clearly not the other way around. He’s the reason I’m leaving the gym. The owners don’t seem to be interested in feedback, or speaking about how to improve their customer experience, or indeed what happened to me and the PT. It’s a shame, I love the idea of a community gym, but one too many bad experiences has left a bad taste in my mouth.

Fantastic experience: I love stones! there's a good variety of different machines and lots of equipment. staff are friendly, the facilities are clean, and I feel there's a good sense of community that I just didn't get with my old gym. you can request songs on the sheet at the reception. some of the equipment is quite old and worn, but everything still works. if a machine is out of order it's usually fixed quickly, whereas at my old gym you'd be waiting months. happy to have joined this gym and would definitely recommend:)

Negative experience: Please, please, please turn down the music. It’s a very good gym but the only downside is you have the music blasting incredibly loud all the time. I understand if you want to do that for the evening sessions, but I’ve been in the morning, midday and afternoon and you always seem to have it deafeningly loud. Feels like a nightclub ‍♂️ I will happily change this review to a 5 star if this is incorporated, as other people have complained about this as well. Please turn the music down to a low level, at least for early morning/afternoon sessions. As it really is so annoying.

Fantastic experience: The best gym in the area for sure! lovely staff, well priced, free sauna, ladies only section,free parking and they have all the machines you need. You can go to the gym and not feel intimidated or judged. Really nice atmosphere.

Fantastic experience: The reason why I much prefer Stones gym is purely because of the atmosphere and vibe whilst working out. As well as everyone that attends is genuinely friendly & helpful. The gym includes access to a sauna area for only £35 a month which is great for the price. The gym has all the equipment and free weights that one would need. As well as this you have free access to a locker during your whole workout session. The gym has a female section which is accessible for female ONLY on a Wednesday. Although, the gym is marginally small in comparison to other gyms. However, the atmosphere makes up for this. The gym also has parking available should you need it which is free.

Fantastic experience: Lovely friendly staff. Finally a gym for girls at certain times of the week. It has everything you need for your workouts. You cant beat the price as well. So affordable. Especially in the times we are living in. Working out is so good for your mental health and this gym assists you both in your mental health and financially. You dont understand how much this helps me. Im going through it mentally and financially. So thank you so very much. Appreciate it more than you know.

Fantastic experience: Love this community gym, especially the new ladies only section which is very well equipped with a perfect blend of cardio (exercise bikes, treadmills and rowing machine etc) as well as weights (free weights and some excellent machines). The staff are so friendly and helpful and the gym is COVID secure with plenty of cleaning stations and hand sanitizer around. 10/10!

Fantastic experience: OUTSTANDING! Top class gym! Facilities are great cardio machines are amazing free weights it's resistance weights dumbbells have a great Range and variety! Quite deceptive from the outside as you don't think it's that big but when you go inside it's huge nice the laid out as well! Staff are amazing and a great selection of supplements!

Fantastic experience: I have been going to Stones for many years and have seen the gym excel. The gym equipment is top level with everything you need to train hard. The new lady section is a great addition, very well designed and a comfortable environment for those who find the main room a bit too much. Stones gym has created a family and anyone who joins will immediately feel a part of the stones family. The owners are friendly and always available to help. If your thinking about joining, don't hesitate, Stones is a great gym, with great machines, great people and a good price....5 stars from me.

Negative experience: I like the gym mainly for the community feel and convenience oh and the classes are awsome! i have made and met some real good people! everyone says hello or at least exchanges a smile. most of the staff are lovely too! however there's alot that needs updating, eg showers are very small and really dated, equitment could be updated, no wifi, tv screens on treadmill don't work or they havent set it up for use. the price you pay is pricey for the points made. i would recommend but would also mention and manage their expectations.
