Fantastic experience: Amazing food, lovely friendly staff

Fantastic experience: Played this beautiful parkland course whilst visiting the area. Greens, fairways and bunkers all excellent condition and a good variety of holes. No tee mats and no temporary greens at present. Staff very friendly and informative in pro shop. We paid £30 each for 18 holes and £25 for a buggy. Will definitely play again.

Fantastic experience: Came for a Sunday carvery with the family and it was fantastic. Wonderfully looked after by Anna. The food was excellent, between us all we had all the meats that were on offer and everyone loved their choices. Trimmings and veg were all done really well with the root veg mash especially delicious with a secret ingredient I couldn't quite place! Desserts were also to die for and very generous portions too.

Fantastic experience: We had our wedding at Dainton and we were just blown away by the amazing work of Emma and all of her team. Every tiny detail was thought of and just perfect, the food was amazing and catered for every need! We just could not have asked for anything more and we will be forever thankful more making our day so incredible!!!! Thank you so much!

Negative experience: A lovely course that requires better time management. The regular pace of play is painful. Not for the first time, we walked off after the 7th. It took 1:45 to play 7 holes. We were the third in line to tee off for the 8th. Such a shame!

Fantastic experience: We had our wedding reception at Dainton Golf Club and we couldn’t have asked for a more perfect day. We met with Emma a few times who helped us plan all the arrangements for the wedding and she couldn’t have done enough for us. She was so friendly and kind and did everything we asked for; made suggestions for us which was very helpful too. She was amazing. On the day we had Anna and team helping with food and drinks and just overall they were amazing and so attentive. They made us feel so relaxed and comfortable and many guests said how much they appreciated them being friendly and so helpful. The food….absolutely amazing. There was so much of it and very high quality. I would recommend this venue to anyone. Thank you so much dainton team, we will always remember how perfect the day was.

Fantastic experience: Went hear with our Macular Group lovely staff nothing too much trouble. Very nice meal. Had a sweet after but rather large helpings so beware but very nice. Have been twice since being a member of Macular Group.

Fantastic experience: We used Dainton as a venue for a celebration of life after a funeral. The whole event was managed superbly. A lovely venue with multiple areas to be able to chat with people and share memories. We used the main room, bar and terrace. The buffet menu was adapted to our tastes and we had great service from the bar and events team in helping with music and a sideshow. Thank you to Emma and the team for helping to make a difficult day that little bit easier by honouring my brother.

The venue looked lovely and the staff were so helpful and you could see they wanted to be part of making the day go smoothly, which it certainly did. Fantastic experience: We held our wedding reception at Dainton Park Golf Club this Christmas. From start to finish it was a great experience. Emma is wonderful to work with and incredibly responsive. She was supportive, friendly and helpful and seemed to really care. We had some recommendations from them for suppliers who they’ve had experience of too. They all turned out to be great and given how difficult it is to find good people who are willing to work on a wedding at Christmas we were really grateful for that. The food was amazing. The menus is extensive and the food was beautifully cooked. My daughter and I both have dietary restrictions and Dainton couldn’t have done more to go out of their way to accommodate us. The decor was absolutely beautiful and all of the staff were lovely. They made the whole thing so much easier than it might otherwise have been and having that stress taken from you is priceless. If you’re thinking about holding a wedding or special event here don’t hesitate.

Fantastic experience: We had our wedding reception at Dainton in late December and couldn't have been happier with the day, it was perfect! The staff were all lovely and the food was incredible. We were looked after so well. During the build up to the wedding Emma was really helpful with the planning and nothing was too much trouble. If you are looking for somewhere to hold a special event, Dainton ticks all the boxes!

Fantastic experience: I organised my work Christmas Party for fifty people and Dainton were efficient and accommodating. The food was excellent, the dancing and music afterwards was great fun. I would thoroughly recommend their services.

Fantastic experience: We had our wedding at Dainton on the 28th October 2023. We organised our wedding at very short notice and switched from one location due to lack of communication but Dainton where easy to deal with super helpful and helped us get our perfect day with only 3 weeks notice can’t recommend them enough

Fantastic experience: I hired the orangery for my partners 30th birthday and the event could not have gone better. The team were amazing with both helping organise and helping out on the night, the food was amazing and the event space is beautiful. Will definitely be hiring the orangery again for events in the future!

Fantastic experience: The perfect venue for our parent's Golden Wedding Anniversary celebrations. The cream tea was delicious with regular top ups of tea and coffee throughout the afternoon. All of the staff were so welcoming and went out of their way to ensure that the whole event, from booking through to the end of the day, went smoothly.

Fantastic experience: Arranged my daughters baby shower with Emma who was great and very helpful my daughter had a lovely baby shower in the orangery room the food and staff were amazing such a lovely location with great views would definitely recommend

Fantastic experience: We chose Dainton Park as the venue for my cousins baby shower. It was the perfect setting with beautiful views and surroundings. We had the Orangery which is a beautiful and naturally lit room. From the planning to the execution Emma and her team were fantastic. Nothing was too much and the food was spot on. We opted for the BBQ option and our guests were very pleased. They commented on how lovley both the venue and staff were. Would highly recommend Dainton Golf club.

Fantastic experience: Never booked a round of golf before but whilst holidaying i had an urge to play a round and see if i could get back into it and wow! What a course! Beautiful views, greens were immaculate and the pro was real welcoming in getting me set up. Had half hour on the driving range before hand to warm up which is easy enough to use also. Will be booking a tee time everytime i’m down this way on holiday!

Fantastic experience: We had a wonderful day playing in the pairs open 11th June 2023,the whole package starting with a buffet breakfast included in the price my way to start a gamethen out onto the course wow what a lovely well kept course the greens were true and held the balls coming in, a thumbs up to the greens staff on a well prepared course⛳️and all the staff are very welcoming well worth a visit

Fantastic experience: Dainton is a fantastic place for hosting events. We had our wedding reception here and recently hosted a baby shower too. The cost for the venue hire is extremely reasonable and the food is fantastic! The chef's are amazing and go out of their way to cater to any dietary requirements that you need. Top notch service that I cannot praise high enough. If you are looking for a place to host an event look no further. Emma and her team are absolutely amazing and will look after your every need. Communication was brilliant throughout and leading up to both events I have booked. Can't recommend enough! Thanks again guys!

Fantastic experience: I booked my 60th birthday here and I wasn't disappointed. All the staff were friendly, approachable and helpful.Everything ran like clockwork. The food was delicious and the view topped it off sitting out on the patio in the sunshine looking over the golf course.

Fantastic experience: We had our wedding at Dainton on 6th May 2023 and it was the best day ever. The staff were super friendly and helpful, they helped out with every single one of our guests. As a control freak I worried about my reception being set up but the team at Dainton did everything perfectly and how I wanted. Super friendly staff & Emma who helped us plan things was one of the best. I couldn’t recommend Dainton enough. I would do my day again 10 times over because of them. Absolutely incredible food as well. I had up to 100 guests and not one of them had a complaint only great things to say about them. Thank you from Mr and Mrs Chapman x

Negative experience: I've been to Dainton for the Sunday carvery on several occasions and the food and service is generally very good, however things went downhill a bit on Sunday 16th April. Around 3pm our table was invited to joint the que for the carvery, while the duty chef was plating up my meat selection he managed to drop a slice of lamb which skidded off the counter and landed on a stack of round trays to his left, opps, no problem, I thought chef would bin that dropped slice and simply carve me another., but oh no in moment of madness the chef retrieved the dropped meat and tossed it back on my plate then presented the plate to me. Perhaps a bit of refresher training required for certain members of the kitchen staff with the emphasis on the importance of hygiene and customer safety.

Positive experience: This is a course review only. I played this course as a junior so it will always be fond memories for me but returning to play it is always a pleasure. Over the years the trees have grown a lot since I was a member and this not only makes the course more pleasing to the eye but a bit more challenging. Off the tips it’s quite long and an interesting mix of holes with some water hazards that make for a couple of “should I go for it” tee shots if you have the distance. The elevated tee shots on some holes can provide the ideal conditions to hit some bombs downhill and downwind if you are lucky. The par 3 8th would be a dream hole to get an ace from an elevated tee, there are a couple of dog legs and I particularly like the par 5’s on the back 9 both with inviting tee shots. Don’t crumble coming up the 18th with the added pressure of diners in an around the clubhouse treated to a view of golfers coming all the way up the last! The course always seems well kept on all my recent visits but does not handle the rain as well as others but that’s to be expected given it was built on farmland. Unfortunately that does mean there tends to be a fair amount of temporary tees an greens in winter. However in summer it does not seem to become scorched and completely dried out like many courses suffer from so swings and roundabouts I guess. My only criticism would be of the driving range. Lots of courses don’t have one so it’s definitely better than nothing if your the sort of player who likes to hit a few before going out but a lot of the balls are pretty beat up and the mats seem a bit worn an snag up on irons easily. Considering the price for a bucket it’s not great but still as I said it’s better than nothing. I think if they invested in the top tracer technology that is becoming more common that would be massive for this club especially considering there are not really any decent driving ranges around this area. Overall definitely would recommend a round here!

Fantastic experience: The Chordettes Acapella Chorus had their annual dinner at Dainton again this year we had a delicious meal with friendly effect staff who looked after us very well and and made allowances for a sudden drop in numbers due to cancellations because of illness with several members. Our thanks to all the staff for a lovely evening . We will be back!

Positive experience: We recently had our work's Christmas Dinner at Dainton. We were a party of 9 and all had three courses. The food tasted lovely and was all brought out efficiently. The staff were all very helpful with any queries we had. All members of the team enjoyed their meals and the atmosphere. We would all recommend Dainton and would definitely go back again. Thank you.

Negative experience: Played yesterday and iv got to say the course was in a bit of a state. The grass on the tee offs were like playing off dust, no grass to be seen on occasions. The fairways weren’t much better and the greens were really slow. Hate to moan but I thought £34.00 was expensive for the quality of the course.

Fantastic experience: Rich is a great coach. Facilities are great, clubhouse and pro-shop are well stocked. Amazing value, and just feels like a proper golf club. Part of the reason why we’ve decided to sponsor the first team for the next two seasons. What a privilege!

Negative experience: Great location but the once good restaurant since covid has gone down hill. Many of the old good staff are gone and one of the male staff members left is very unpleasant. The quality of the food is now very average and the menu is limited and on multiple visits our hot food has been served luke warm to cold. My daughter is a vegan and sadly the chef found that very difficult to accommodate which in 2021 is crazy. And their vegetarian options are extremely limited. Desserts are nice as we're the drinks. But the price is quite high with lots of extra costs. Very dissapointing compared to what it was a few years back. We hope post covid they can adjust their business model and get back to what they once were.

Fantastic experience: Played there this morning, had to wait for fog to lift, free coffee, used driving range, brilliant well managed course, ever so friendly people, our first time on a 18 hole course, brilliant, stunning views as well. Top class pint when finished, shop good to, excellent

Fantastic experience: What a golf course this is. From Tees to Green the condition is absolutely immaculate. Some lovely individual holes and all for £26. I will definitely play here again. Superb course!

Fantastic experience: Visiting the area and popped in for food on a Saturday evening, which was pizza night. Home cooked pizza was delicious, as good as anything I've had before. Booked for golf in a few days time so will definitely be having lunch before the round. Edit: Returned a couple of days later for a fabulous round of golf. The staff were very welcoming, as were members and other visitors we spoke to. A great course to play with a few challenging holes, but we were glad we booked a buggy! Overall a lovely round and well recommended for anyone visiting the area.

Fantastic experience: I had a great day at Dainton PGC, what a beautiful course. This was a very challenging course and you must be accomplished with a Driver to complete this course with a decent score. The staff and members were extremely friendly. Thank you for your hospitality.

Fantastic experience: My local course in relation to where I live, have played it a few times, this parkland 18 hole is a gorgeous test if golfing skill for all handicappers, the course is well looked after, the greens are excellent. Each hole has a 150 yard tee for beginners to the game also, the driving range is good albeit uphill and there's a short game practice area and putting green. I found the members and the pro shop very friendly and welcoming, there's a spa there as well.....would highly recommend a round or two, online booking available for visitors.
