Invictus Gym

Positive experience: Absolutely great equipment especially after the upgrades, however still won’t be signing up for 50 quid a month until it’s 24hrs

Negative experience: I had a Near death experience in the gym. I have been going to invictus for a year now. had accidentally hurt my self in the gym whilst bench pressing on 12/08 and was severely bleeding from mouth to neck from dropping a 120 kilo bar bell. When this happened the guy spotting me helped me remove it, get up and was in panic. Unfortunately, I had to continuously inform the person at the reception and my spotter to call 999 as the staff on duty was panicking and not proactive in the event of a head injury. After dialing 999 (bleeding) I was redirected to the kitchen, where I was left with someone who was going to aid me with first aid (appeared to be a gym member) unfortunately he had no idea what to do with a med kit so I took the gloves from the med kit and band aid and proceeded to first aid and patch myself up then sat down on a chair (this happened as I bled). I managed to stop the bleeding and sat down and called my partner telephonically. I was attended to by emergency services in the gym however I was truly disappointed by the lack of preparedness to emergencies, I would recommend keeping your phone close by in case of emergency when you’re going to the gym because as much as I love the gym I worry about this happening again to an individual who doesn’t know what to to in an emergency. I was looking for the Managements email but I cannot seem to find it so I could write this however I cannot find it on their email address. The staff has been good, gym is clean however just not prepared for emergencies at all

Positive experience: Friendly staff, always makes you feel welcome when entering the gym. There is a great variety of equipment, ensuring any body part can be focused. The membership is quite pricy but seems to be standard for the Thame area. Also any equipment that breaks is hastily repaired(usually with in a couple of weeks) which is good. Also, they have some very fashionable clothing they sell with some nice branding on it. The gym is poor at dealing with the weather it seems: when it is hot, it is poorly cooled as they only use a few plug in fans and when it rains, it often leaks through the roof. Furthermore, their new app has a very cheap design and doesn’t work very well: came in on a bank holiday with the app saying it was open with 30 people in there; I turned up to find it closed!

Negative experience: I been trying for 3 months to cancel my membership with them,there is no option to cancel your membership on the app and they don’t have any email address either,for me is almost impossible to walk in or call them as I am working nights shifts,they are doing everything they can to get your money I am really disappointed as was a decent gym but they need to start to be less greedy as the gym membership is already very expensive as it is

Fantastic experience: Loved this gym, open warehouse setup gives a spacious workout areas. Equipped with everything you need. Nice friendly staff.

Fantastic experience: I don't use the gym . I'm writing a review about the kindness of the gym . My van broke down right outside there premises on a hot day. They let me sit in there lounge while I waited for the rac. Then when I found out that I wouldn't be towed back to Nottingham till 9pm they let me cool off and use the shower. Very friendly

Negative experience: If I could give 0 I would, i got a day pass to try it out, the equipment isn’t very good, the staff are rude and to top it off, I have never met such a rude owner. Don’t recommend

Fantastic experience: Best gym in whole Oxfordshire area. I don't like small and not spacious places to exercise. Facility itself and members with serious workout approach are motivating me even in most lazy days. I am driving there about 30min but it's worth it. 10/10.

Fantastic experience: Spacious, well equipped, spray and cloth to wipe down equipment after you've used it. Great PT available to book. Music needs reviewing.

Fantastic experience: Top quality equipment. Everything is really clean and kept in brilliant condition. Staff are wonderfully helpful and friendly. The member community seems really strong and friendly. I couldn't recommend this gym more! Definitely check it out. Getting a day pass is very easy too, if you want to try it.

Fantastic experience: Tried Invictus for the 1st time, nice spaced out weights and machine area, all new. Squat racks and cages and plenty of bumper plates, nice and friendly staff

Fantastic experience: Awesome gym, awesome classes and most importantly, awesome staff.

Fantastic experience: Brilliant for kids from 5+years boxing classes coached by aba qualified guys. The gyms kit is all top of the range and got lots of space. The team there are like a family it's really the place to go. Much nicer environment now the kick boxing coach has gone and things are done properly. Full credit to Martin and his team it's a must go and see gym at good prices.
