Multifit Salford

Negative experience: DO NOT SIGN UP TO THIS GYM I cancelled my membership with Multifit Salford back in May 2021—yes, over two years ago—and they confirmed it was processed. Despite this, they continued taking money from my bank account without any notice or authorisation. They even went as far as using a questionable third-party company to attempt charges on an old bank account. Not once did they inform me or get my consent, which is completely unacceptable. Something really dodgy must be going on in this place for them to not be processing membership cancellations and seeking 3rd party companies to take money from old clients. Their contact number goes straight to voicemail, so you can’t get anyone on the phone. When I emailed, the responses were minimal at best—no proper explanations, no accountability and certainly no apologies. I’ve now been left with no choice but to consider legal action to recover my money. This experience has shown me that this gym cares little for its members once they have your money. The lack of professionalism is astounding. If you’re considering joining, seriously think again unless you want endless financial headaches, no support, and complete disregard for customer service. Absolutely disgraceful.

Negative experience: The gym itself is fine for the price with lots of good equipment. Customer service is awful, myself and my husband cancelled our memberships in March and I was charged up until July. I had to be refunded these amounts which took weeks. And now I’m still being charged and emailed for further payments. Email replies are slow and nobody answers the phone. This gym is fine if you never want to leave. However the minute you try to cancel it is very difficult.

Negative experience: Gym is fine but absolutely no customer service whatsoever. If you any sort of problem just speak to a wall.

Negative experience: Second time sat outside the gym an hour after it’s supposed to be open So many members all sat waiting or now left without being able to work out….. not good!

Negative experience: Disappointed with Billing Practices "I'm disappointed with my experience at Multifit Salford. Despite only attending for two months, I was charged for an additional two months after I stopped going. I've attempted to resolve this issue with the manager(Tyler) multiple times without success. This has been a frustrating process, and I feel it's important for potential customers to be aware of my experience with the gym's billing practice.

Fantastic experience: Best gym in the area, definitely value for money too. Yes it does get busy but there’s always equipment free. Loads of coaches and staff in site to offer help and advice. Comfortable and friendly place, never left intimated or out of place. First commercial gym I’ve ever used also. Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: What an absolute gem of a gym. Loads of free-weights, machines, battle ropes, tyre, sledge plus boxing bags. Members are friendly and serious about training. None of this hogging the equipment whilst scrolling either. Great value membership. Definitely worth a sign-up

Positive experience: Amazing gym, first-class equipment, friendly staff and plenty of parking. HOWEVER, the shower areas are straight out of WWI underground bunker; fleas/ midgies everywhere, dirty floors, pubic hairs everywhere, clothes lint, scum and grease on the tiles that never gets cleaned, broken floor and wall tiles and broken roof tiles (why does a shower have office roof tiles anyway? All they do is absorb the moisture and create mould and bacteria)

Fantastic experience: Brilliant Gym! I was looking for somewhere to train for a week as I was in Manchester for work Tyler sorted this out for me. The gym itself has a vast amount of equipment. Plenty of parking available which always helps. If you live nearby to this gym you will be a fool not to join it very lucky to have this training facility next to you. Fantastic experience: The new manager Tyler is amazing. Extremely welcoming and great guy at showing what exercises we should be doing to target certain muscles groups. If you’re looking for a welcoming team then multifit is the perfect place to go. Tyler is more than helpful and overall a good atmosphere to better yourself in. Pineapple and pink salt is key!!

Fantastic experience: Really enjoyed my first week at Multifit, the new manager was so helpful and spent time showing me around and writing me a plan to work through on my first session. There is so much floor space and loads of equipment.

Negative experience: This gym is always unclean. Equipment always dusty, bins overflowing, there is NEVER any hand sanitiser. Please improve your services for what people are paying each month this is unacceptable. No one has ever been on the desk since i have been coming here. One time my code didnt work and was stuck outside until someone was leaving. Once i signed up for a spin class. Turned up no one was there, waste of my time.

Positive experience: Solid gym good equipment

Positive experience: The gym and it’s equipment in itself is good for what my goals are and it’s never usually too busy. They seriously need to make more of an effort in other areas though The changing rooms, they look about 30 years old and the stadium is only 10-11. I’ve never seen anyone in there cleaning them and one of the urinals has been dripping/leaking for weeks, middle toilet cubicle has been out of service since beginning of Jan when I joined so no idea how long it’s been like that before, other cubicle has no lock. No one is ever on the front desk if there’s an issue. The security seems a bit lax. Many times I’ve seen the exit door propped open with a weight, literally anyone could just walk in because no one is on the desk.

Fantastic experience: This is a ‘proper’ gym goers gym. It was spotlessly clean and everyone was very courteous. All weights were reracked pretty much straight away after use.

Negative experience: Worst gym you could possibly join the staff have less respect for each other and the equipment than the members do, the place is always a mess with weights left everywhere The machines and equipment are all falling to pieces everything is lose and wobbly. the machines that are completely broke take months to be repaired which than makes your workout difficult since there is a Sheer lack of equipment to use. Nobody has any respect even the PTs stand there gossiping about other members. Half the people in there sneak in using other people codes no security what so every and the staff do not care

Negative experience: Once you terminate contract, the gym will continue to take unauthorused payments from your account (chip and pin payments without consent). They will promise to return the money, but it won't arrive. I had to cancel my debit card and get a refund through my bank. Don't trust this gym with your card details.

Fantastic experience: Great range of equipment, lots of classes, staff are all extremely helpful and make you feel welcome and at ease.

Fantastic experience: Been to various gym over the past few years but I’m really impressed by MultiFit. The staff are all really friendly and helpful, Kieran the manager is awesome and always on hand to help out,guide and makes you feel welcome every time you see him. The P.T’s are all really friendly and approachable. There is a wide variety of equipment and it’s always clean and looked after. The classes are great an always challenging.the looping classes are especially worth a go. Would recommend anyone to come here and train no matter your age or ability.

Positive experience: Could do with 2 of everything. Some people just hog the equipment. Playing with phones between sets is another issue.

Fantastic experience: Kieren and the team are all friendly and welcoming, . The gym itself is well equipped and is modern. Overall a great gym, at great value prices and expertise on hand whenever you need it! Keep up the good work!!

Negative experience: Absolute joke of a gym. Emailed to cancel my membership in May, received a reply to confirm this would be done and they are still taking payments from me. Not the only person I know who this has happened to either.

Fantastic experience: Just been to my first class since the gym reopened. Was really impressed by all the procedures put into place to keep members safe. All the areas are clearly marked out to observe social distancing. There are plenty of sanitizers and cleaning equipment. The numbers have been managed well. I did the looping class which was excellent. It was the right level of difficulty and a great way to get back into my gym routine. Thanks to Kieran for his excellent communication and dedication throughout the covid closures.

Fantastic experience: A brilliant and friendly gym. Everybody Is very welcoming and happy to help, the PT’s are really knowledgeable and very inclusive. As it is a smaller gym it has a more personable approach however it’s always easy to get on anything you need would highly recommend

Positive experience: Visited using a guess pass when seeing a friend. Small but has all the equipment one would need. I can imagine it gets fairly busy here at peak time.

Negative experience: Cancelled corporate membership after 12 month contract expired due to switching jobs and leaving the area, I’ve been harassed with phone calls, text messages and debt collection letters ever since.

Fantastic experience: Fantastic gym located within the AJ Bell stadium. Very clean and well cared for with plenty of lockers and changing facilities. Staff are very friendly, approachable, and ever present. Great variety of equipment, focusing predominantly on strength with large weights area. Good variety of classes. Plenty of parking. Couldn't recommend more!

Fantastic experience: Good gym with helpful staff. I've been coming here for almost a year, some weeks more than others. It can get busy around your usual peak times but I've never found myself waiting long for equipment. I think this gym is more tailored to people wanting to gain strength rather than Vario training, although there are treadmills and exercise bikes. They offer a wide range of glassed and there's plenty of personal trainers

Fantastic experience: Recently went to Multifit for an open day with my friend. We had seen the class timetable and were interested in the variety that's on offer. Initial contact via messages was very informative and it appeared that nothing was a problem...this was indeed the case when we turned up last Saturday. We were greeted by Jake, one of the personal trainers who could've easily passed us onto someone else but he was very friendly, asked questions to better understand what it was that we were trying to achieve and we actually ended up having a PT session with him. In that session we learnt an awful lot, both of us were impressed with the amount of knowledge he had and how he freely shared it with us despite us not being members. We then joined in the circuit suicide class with Kieran...fab class and exactly what we were looking for. Kieran was very good, correcting form where needed and encouraging. We both came away from the open day very impressed and we had made our decision to leave our current gym. Since then contact with Reece has been easy and he has been most helpful, nothing has been a problem. I joined and was told that if I wanted to bring a friend to just let him know and he would sort it out! Everyone that I have come into contact with at the gym has been friendly, helpful, nothing has been a problem...such a breath of fresh air. The gym itself is full of every piece of equipment you can possibly think of!! It's all well maintained and I cannot wait to get started!

Fantastic experience: Great equipment and a friendly relaxed vibe. The class timetable is varied and there is something to suit everyone. The staff and PT's at Multifit are amazing and can't do enough to help you feel comfortable. I started with no knowledge in fitness and would feel so anxious walking into a typical gym environment, 4 months later i am training to become a PT which says everything about this place :)

Negative experience: Gym might be alright. I'll never know because i stood using the assistance button at the front of the gym for 20 minutes and nobody was interested. So i thought i'd ring, then the phone at the unmanned reception desk next to me rang. Waste of time.

Fantastic experience: Multifit is a really welcoming gym with a plethora of facilities which should suit everyone’s needs. In spite of the great facilities what makes this gym great is the staff, there is always a friendly personal trainer on hand to give you guidance and support or provide personal training should you want it. There are also lots of different classes on throughout the day, something that I make the most out of most weeks as they always manage push you that all important extra mile as well as being good fun and social to attend.
