But this facility is the best one I’ve visited so far. Free coffee on the weekends (or £1 during the week). 10 ish showers with a hair station to dry it out. Top notch equipment and very clean

Negative experience: The gym gets very busy at times to the point that sometimes it is difficult to find equipment. Also, the fragrances in the bathroom area are more suitable to be used in a nightclub, and not a gym – They are very harmful to members’ health.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been at anytime fitness Swiss Cottage for 2 years now and it continuously puts a smile on my face. Both Michael’s and others really make this club very welcoming, looking forward to spending many more years here.

Fantastic experience: I have been invited as a guest a few times and can honestly say that I am very impressed with the quality of the gym overall. My kids have been members for a couple of years and love going. The classes are varied and challenging and their coaches are upbeat, helpful and competent. Everyone wipes down the equipment after use, which I wish were the case at my gym. Lastly, the staff at the front are easy-going, knowledgeable and kind.

Fantastic experience: Great gym, good equipment, always smells fresh and the toilets/showers + complementary toiletries and free fruit are a nice touch! Staff is very nice and friendly, especially the manager Michael.

Fantastic experience: I have to say, Anytime Fitness in Swiss Cottage is like another home for me because of how the management team have made me feel. Michael the GM, Aron and the other Michael are all amazing and helpful people to deal with.

Positive experience: I am very curious there really is no one which prohibits people without equipment suitable for the hall enter this means that he will not care about the quality of his room and the fact that everything is new and they all come unwashed without changes in the hall I am very upset that no one cares about everything that is new and clean if you go to other countries as well as Romania you are forbidden to enter without changes only england is among the most jealous as population both literally and figuratively.

Fantastic experience: The best Gym we have in Swiss Cottage. Our gym is very clean and absolutely smells amazing which makes it so much easier to train. All Staff are very knowledgeable, kind, caring and always welcoming members with a big smile. I highly highly recommend AF SWISS. Negative experience: Awful membership cancellation process. Practically iron clad and the exemptions they claim to give, they make you jump through hoops to explain your circumstances/provide evidence and even then aren’t satisfied. Gym was ok. It’s not the money, it’s the principle. Will never be joining an Anytime Fitness ever again.

Negative experience: Gym itself is lovely, as are the staff who work on the gym floor but feel inclined to write a review on the membership cancellation process which was painful - to put it nicely. I left the Swiss Cottage area in April of 2023 and took a job which required me to travel to different countries, with no permanent address. I showed them proof of job and the end of tenancy agreement to my flat. Neither of which were accepted. I did not have a new address so they suggested I went on my parents water bill which took many months to do, given I don't even live in their house. Upon sending the water bill, the finance team didn't accept an online screenshot and instead required a first page hard copy of the bill, which I cannot get given I don't live at my parent's and they don't receive their waterbill physically. I've never experience such a manipulated and lack a good faith process in early cancellation. I've had to pay out he full 12 month contract losing £400 in total having not used the gym once. Won't ever be using Anytime Fitness again. Recommend you really make sure you are going to be around for your full contract if you join this chain.

Positive experience: The gym is clean, spacious and has a wide range of equipment to suit everyone’s needs. Aren’t often times that you’ll find there are no machines or equipment free which is always beneficial as nobody wants to spend 3 hours in the gym or have to cut their workout short because there’s nothing available. The guys in the reception area are friendly and always engage with people on their way in/out of the gym, although it does seem as though the female PT’s either are forbidden from acknowledging you if you’re not paying them, or they just flat-out choose not to? Been to many gyms in my life, this is the first time I’ve experienced this. Not the end of the world to me, just something for them to ponder perhaps as others might find it to be a bit standoffish/rude.

Fantastic experience: The staff is knowledgeable, friendly, and always willing to assist , Danny and MZ and Lee always make me feel welcome and I love the way they treat us like family. Happy and lovely environment to train :) couldn’t ask for a better community

Fantastic experience: Great gym. Not very crowded.

Positive experience: This gym is worth 5/5 stars for what a gym is, however cannot be given due to a simple problem for real gym goers. The lockers have a 2 hour time limit meaning if you "forget" (which is likely as we're working very hard) and your stuff goes missing, it's your problem. It's a simple problem to resolve, up it to a time that 99.9%, if not 100% of people don't train, 3-4 hours. This will save time. Hassle and anxiety of hoping your stuff ain't stolen.

Fantastic experience: Excellent gym- clean, very good range of strength training equipment and recovery equipment. The coffee machine and tea selection with the option of soy milk is a very nice touch.

Positive experience: Staff are friendly, nice equipment but overall facilities can be maintained better, I’ve walked into filthy toilets and makeup stained machines that I spotted the day before. Ultimately I had made a decision to cancel my membership because it is too crowded, Ive had to leave the gym at times disappointed that I didn’t get to use the squat rack and machines I wanted and thus not completing my workout when weight loss is my goal. There is a very agressive gym bro like atmosphere near the free weights section with people vlogging their workouts which can be intimidating whenever you wish to venture to that area and having your privacy invaded in fear of being recorded on someone’s camera. It wasn’t as crowded when I first joined but now I’m forced to go gym at midnight - and to my surprise it is still fairly crowded!

Positive experience: Good gym, but the music is too loud. I asked staff to turn the volume down a bit, but they ignored me. Presumably they are not aware of the damage that loud music can do to your hearing. Besides, most gym goers have their own headphones with music, so there's no need to put the music so loud. Am considering cancelling my membership for this reason.

Fantastic experience: I love everything about AF Swiss Cottage. The quality of service is just on another level. Staff and attendees are polite and classy. Bathrooms and washrooms are always clean and tidy.

Fantastic experience: I have been going here for a few months, i used to go to another location but since I discovered this one i have been going to this location. They have a comfortable atmosphere. The staff is kind and helpful. The main star for me is the yoga and pilates classes.

Fantastic experience: This is absolutely my happy place! Best gym I’ve been training to, the best equipment for lifting weights and cardio. Extremely clean and tidy, big showers, everything you need in the beauty area. Great staff always ready to help and support. I love the community in this gym all members really nice and friendly. And is open 24/7 so you don’t need to worry about opening and closing hours, you can literally workout at anytime! I will definitely recommend it even if you are a beginner or advanced you will enjoying your training here.

Fantastic experience: Been a member of AF for 5 years and this is by far my favourite location. Large space, plenty of equipment, super lovely staff. Very clean and if the machine you want to use is occupied there’s always an alternative available. Excellent bathroom/shower facilities and super fun classes at all times of day.

Staff are super friendly and helpful, they limit the number of members to ensure you can always get on equipment without long waits at peak times, the showers and getting ready facilities are fab and they have free fruit and coffee's on Friday :) Highly recommend !

Fantastic experience: After checking a number of gyms in London, this one was the perfect choice. Good variety of equipment and a good number of equipment. The staff is quite great and the best thing the membership seems to be well balanced. So it's never too crowded to be waiting on a workout.

Negative experience: Overpriced, Dirty , loads of angry gym bros, not enough equipment. High-pressure selling bad communication.

Fantastic experience: One of the best gyms I've tried. I can see no negative point to give it less than 5 stars, but I can talk about the great things: the design of the squats racks is amazing, it enables about 10 people at the time to do deadlifts, squats, bench press, pull ups and other exercises, the thing that always keeps space at the gym; I can also talk about the clean toilets (and I like the hand wash liquid so much); also to mention the changing rooms and the shower places. In general, the gym has a great design and good usage of the area to provide the most required facilities, while many other gyms waste areas on machines that nobody uses.

Positive experience: The gym is large and well-equipped. It's generally clean and not too busy during the day on weekdays. The staff are polite and helpful. The lockers are nifty (no padlock required) and the free hot drinks at the weekend are a nice touch. Points for improvement: * The music is often way too loud - significantly louder than at other AF branches. It's unfortunately a disincentive to coming to this branch. * There is a very potent (and sickly) air freshener smell throughout the ground floor. It's not a nice smell and makes the air feel unclean. * The temperature and air flow seem to vary depending on where you are in the gym. It would be good to have a little more consistency. * It would be good to have some more plyo boxes downstairs - the options are pretty limited.

Fantastic experience: Been a member of year. Previously members of Virgin Active O2 Centre, left because the quality deteriorated massively for the price. Then went to Better Swiss Cottage which was indeed “better” than Virgin and cheaper. However, in my view Anytime Fitness is just better in quality of equipment, showers and friendliness of staff. Also Checked new Pure Gym it’s good and value for money but lacks the quality of Anytime Fitness.

Fantastic experience: I have been an anytime fitness member since 2013 (from Melbourne, Australia) and have used multiple AF gyms around the world during my membership period. I just wanted to write and say that AF Swiss cottage is hands down the best AF Gym I have visited. The space, layout, equipment, little touches like the coffee machine and toiletries make a huge difference. Oh yes and the team is stupidly friendly as well. Granted its a newish outlet; but as mentioned the little things go a long way!!

Positive experience: Great gym with great equipment (even a weight scale for measuring body fat!). The reason I put 4stars is because of the amount of people. When I joined in January, there weren't many people in the morning. Now it's almost like 80% of the machines are occuppied from 6 to 8:30 am

Fantastic experience: Love this gym! Very clean, well organised, fully equipped and the staff are taking care of the space and the members. I love the showers, and all the electrical appliances - all is brand new and very well maintained. The gym is also very clean at all times.

Fantastic experience: Although likely a sales call as I hadn’t been to the gym in while, I got a call from one of the PT’s (Aaron) and he simply asked is everything okay and was checking in. More of this is needed and it is very much appreciated. 5/5 for caring for your customers.

Fantastic experience: Fantastic gym, great facilities and staff are all friendly and helpful. I have used many Anytime Fitness Gyms in Tokyo and London and all have been pretty good, however Swiss Cottage is by far the best!

Positive experience: The club is pretty decent, I've been a member for the past 12 months and seen the decline from a 5 star club to an average gym. The staff is always kind and smiling, the workout area gets pretty crowded in the evening, especially on Mondays, the cleaning of the mats is quite absent, I managed to got a couple of fungal infections just by laying the arms on these mats. The showers gets cleaned daily but it's not uncommon finding the same hair attached to the tiles for a couple of days and the provided products (e.g. shower gel) are often empty or diluted with water. The offered classes are always the same, the staff mentioned a rotation but we never seen anything major, we always see the same things over and over, it's like eating the same food every days. The level of the trainers went pretty down, since trainers such as Ruth, Igor, Arenna left we saw much more casual trainers.

Negative experience: Nice gym but terribly run customer service unfortunately.

Fantastic experience: Speaking as a bit of a beginner in fitness, I absolutely love this gym for all the attention to detail and thought gone into it. The showers are so clean and well kept, there is everything you need conveniently laid out even down to hair bobbles should you forget to bring one. All the equipment is very well maintained, everyone is very polite and the staff are lovely. Nothing but positive things to say!

Fantastic experience: Been to this branch now quite a few times now and I absolutely LOVE it!! Never too crowded, facilities are on point (they have 8 squat racks, a hack squat and a hip thrust machine!) and the staff are really welcoming and friendly. Really good value for money and would highly recommend :)

Fantastic experience: Clean and modern. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Genuinely the best gym I have attended and also the best value. I am super impressed. The customers tend to put all their weights back after use which is a real plus point. Seems to be more focus on weights than cardio which in my view is very good. The private changing rooms and showers are also a real bonus. The showers are great.

Positive experience: Reasonable sized gym. Two floors. Range of equipments for different body parts and are all in good working order. Showers are in separate rooms and sobarevthe toilets. They even provide deodorants. Great. Wasn't full at my time of visit.

Fantastic experience: Really nice gym. They take care of the space and the members. The staff get to know your name and really sem to be interested. The cleaning staff are always on top of things. I really like the private changing and shower rooms. Great place.

Negative experience: Changing my review to one star as they are being ridiculous. I contacted them on the 1st of December to cancel my membership since I didnt have a chance to use the gym a single time during the past 6months as I spent most of the time abroad. I was told I can cancel it from the 31/01 only and that my Direct Debit wasnt working. I was provided with a link to pay the December DD and was told to reinstate the DD so that the Jan fee can be taken. I did that. Then, I kept receiving emails that I had outstanding payment in Jan. I had no idea what this was about and called them and was told that I cant access the gym as the Jan payment couldnt been taken as my DD was reinstated way too late for them to be able to collect the payment. AnytimeFitness did not tell me at any point that there’s a cut off date to reinstate DD, so bringing it back made zero sense in the first place. Now, it’s 1st of Feb and Ive been charged 103.90gbp. My monthly fee is 45.95gbp. So since I asked them to cancel my membership (including and accepting one month notice that they didnt accept on the 1st of December), Ive been charged 150gbp for absolutely nothing. More than 3 months fee! Once I couldnt access the gym due to them not being able to collect the payment for Jan even tho I did everything as they said, I asked the person who couldnt help me to take a note and for “sales” people who apparently are the only ones in power to do anything to contact me and they never did. Ridiculous really. Avoid at all cost - luckily they aren’t the only gym in the area anymore! but if you’re already there, read the fineprint and ask them hundred times if there’s anything else you should know to avoid being treated like I was. Very very disappointed.

Fantastic experience: Great gym with extensive machines and space. Open 24hrs which is its biggest selling point. Much better facilities than other nearby gyms. Would be great if they offered more yoga and pilates classes. Very happy I signed up. The staff are friendly, particularly Amir who is always happy to help you out on your technique, show you new workouts, and keep you motivated. I appreciate that he took the time to show me how to use some of the equipment as a new gym goer. He's a credit to the place. Highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: Lived in London for 20 years and been to dozens of gyms. This is one of the best! Plenty of space, excellent equipment and amazing facilities. Speaking of friendly staff: Amir is a legend! ..and boy oh boy, that citrussy shower gel is just a dream!
