Snap Fitness 24-7 Basildon

Fantastic experience: Snap Basildon is great. Friendly staff and not overly busy when I go. Equipment is looking pretty dated and could do with a refresh... But overall a good facility. Showers are rubbish.

Positive experience: Great gym with a very smart selection of equipment that gives a minimalist feel yet has everything you need. I like functional Olympic/ powerlifting and they had everything I needed with their power cage stations, bumper plates, and kettle bells (super nice setup). The only reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because their management really needs to update their computers because it made my sign up experience take longer than it should have.

Fantastic experience: Snap Fitness is an excellent fitness facility with a wide variety of equipment. The welcoming atmosphere from both the members and the staff, especially Luke, creates a friendly environment. His politeness and helpfulness stand out. I highly recommend giving SnapGym a try.

Fantastic experience: In my opinion the best gym center in basildon is snap fitness, quality equpment and Staff are very humble and kind.

Negative experience: This gym is one big scam. Not only is it the most expensive in the area, it tries to steal as much as it can from you. If you suspend your membership with them they will still charge you for the next month: "The notice will be effective on the last day of the month which is at least 30 days from the date of my notice." When asked about the cancellation period, the staff answered evasively (I realized this after the fact). In addition, by purchasing a membership in the middle of the month they robbed me of the 2 weeks I was entitled to. I terminated my membership at the end of the month, so I was still entitled to 2 weeks in theory. They charged me the full amount for the following month, at the beginning of the month, and due to the fact that the membership ends on the 30th day of the following month they in effect took away 2 weeks from the last of my first payment. That is, they robbed me of my money 2 times. In summary they robbed me of about £52.4. As for the gym itself, the equipment there is very often damaged or completely out of service. I would definitely recommend competitors such as PureGym.

Positive experience: Not a bad little gym, went years ago and there used to be more weights but now there are only 3 benches and more cardio machines. Showers are fairly clean but need updating really.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been training here for the past year. It’s a great little hidden gem of a gym. It isn’t the newest of gyms, there are newer more sparkling gyms in Basildon. That said, it’s always clean and tidy. Equipment always maintained. Helpful staff and a variety of clientele. And finally, it’s rarely busy enough to affect your planned routine.

Negative experience: I used the gym out of hours due to my work schedule and it was a great experience. One night my card was blocked so I was unable to gain access to the gym. I was still charged for the service over the next 7 months. Reason I couldn't get in was due to not signing a waver. No offer of any refund, I will not be returning.

Fantastic experience: Really glad I picked this gym.. always got one of the allocated parking bays as I usually arrive after 10pm..never a problem getting on machines, and plenty of equipment to choose from..everything nice and modern and clean..Other people nice and friendly too..It's got a nice atmosphere, unlike some of the other places over the last 40 years..so thanks to Rob and Luke for letting this old boy join, and get the body moving...UPDATE...Really helpful on letting you freeze your membership ! When nasty important operations have to be done to the old body.

Fantastic experience: Very clean Gym and they have great equipment. I am normally an early morning person, which it tends to be quite in the Gym and great for a workout.

Fantastic experience: Good gym with friendly staff. Good, clean equipment. As I work shifts, it's handy having a 24 hour gym, and even better that I can make it during quieter hours, never had a problem getting on the equipment I need. Only downside is parking, but still a great gym.
