Fantastic experience: 3 pools for different ages and abilities. Staff are really nice. There are a few tables and chairs for your own picnic plus a cafe which has a good selection of food at reasonable prices.

Fantastic experience: Brilliant day out took 13yr old & 10yr old .nice cheap food loads places to sit in sun & shade.slide was great fun! Teenager even played footy on Astro turf for an hour which was only £3,50 for the hour! Goin again on a sunny day

Fantastic experience: Hidden gem... heard about this place, but always thought the 100 mile round trip excessive for a swim... not any more... kids loved it.. main pool is easy the warmest outdoor pool I have swam in (and that's a fair few), two toddler pools seemed even warmer which the kids loved... flue runs on the half hour and is long enough to get a shout out of the older kids..... the on site cafe is great, food is well priced and there is coffee and cakes for parents. The General Swim sessions go on all day so once you're in, you're in..... the play park at the rear of the is also a welcome distraction and a good space for picnics.... .What3Words: dolls.purest.decency (its a bit tricky to find)

Positive experience: Lovely outdoor 25m main pool + learner pool, paddling pool and flume. We went for the adult lane swim session and the pool was heated to around 24°. We booked in advance via the website (but I think we might have been the only ones that did). Session not too busy - around 12 people in the pool, so plenty of room. Ample changing rooms - communal changing with cubicles plus separate male/female changing rooms. Warm showers and clean toilets. Well maintained lockers (£1 refundable). Attentive lifeguards and a good cup of coffee from the cafe. Free parking on site.

Fantastic experience: A couple of weeks ago we had a lovely afternoon playing Pickleball at the Haltwhistle leisure centre. The court was only £12.50, and they provided the rackets and balls for us. We also went for a swim in the outside pool afterwards. Thank you to all the lovely staff for their help.

Fantastic experience: Brilliant. First time there. At first I wasn't sure I was in the right place as you can't see the outdoor area from the car park. The staff were really friendly and welcoming. The weather was perfect and my son and 3 friends stayed from 12pm - 4pm. Pool areas really clean, cafe lovely and being able to bring a picnic in and sit on the grass as they played was great. We will be back once back open from April.

Fantastic experience: Great day out. Kids loved it Heated pools We took a picnic but the cafe sold decent size portions at really good prices so next time we'll just eat there.

Lovey pool and facilities so glad we just got in on the pools last day open this year. It was such a treat to swim in this outdoor pool Everywhere lovely and clean would highly recommend a fun water chute too which I didn't use

Fantastic experience: We booked a 2 hour private session for our family at the Haltwhistle swimming pools and we had the most amazing experience, The pools were very clean, the staff were so friendly and professional, and the kids loved the slides. Was well worth the hour's drive.

Fantastic experience: Very friendly staff, one of the pools has warm water which was a treat for the kids, nice sitting area, good cafe, clean changing facilities, a giant slide which does not drop into the main pool but is a water slide. Safe and clean overall. Prices are for full day which is also great!

Fantastic experience: We travelled 1 hour today after being told about this place and it didn't let down! Pools are warm and clean. The staff are really happy and friendly not like robots. They clearly enjoy there jobs and nothing is to much trouble. Loved it!

Negative experience: Atrocious. Travelled 2 hours to get here along with 3 children, and had to spend 10 minutes finding a space to park because of how busy it was. Walked up to the gate just to discover that they weren’t accepting anymore swimmers. They didn’t even have a booking system to prevent this happening in the future. Will not be coming again.

Negative experience: Due to the hot weather this pool is in demand, hence my family tried to visit today & were turned away as it was full. This was a waste of my son in laws days holiday, left grandchildren of 3yrs, 6yrs & 9yrs in tears of disappointment. People had been queuing for 90 mins in the heat before the pool opened at 10am. I appreciate demand is high due to school holidays & hot weather but a booking system would avoid disappointment & wasted journeys!!!!

Positive experience: Beautiful local authority Lido and leisure centre.. Gets very very busy with families.has 3 heated pools the biggest is 25 m and 10meters for the smaller,then 5 metes for the babies , also has two water slides . Refreshments are available poolside .. Aqua classes in the morning.. Lovely friendly staff make sure everything is safe .. Well worth the trip to get there . Closes in September.. untill the spring.

Fantastic experience: This seasonal outdoor swimming pool and indoor leisure centre is a great place to cool off after a hot day exploring the surrounding area. It has great, friendly and helpful staff who seem happy to answer questions when needed. Things to note: grab yourself an activities programme so you know when you can swim if you're in Haltwhistle for more than one day. As there are set times for general and land swimming. Make sure you keep a 1 pound coin handy for locker use or a trolley token will probably also work too! The wet change rooms are for pool use and have cubicles to change in. This area, has open showers to wash the chlorine off, and is not gendered. There are three pools to choose from. A large one between about 90cm at shallowest down to 2m deep at the other end. There are two other ones for tiny tots. The smallest beeing only about 40cm deep. The middle sized one is about 60cm deep and has a slide into it making it a hit with those under 9 years old. These two smaller pools require mandatory guardian supervision, whilst the largest pool has a lifeguard in attendance. All in all, the pool is a great place to cool off in the warmer weather. With the centre having plenty of other activities indoors too!

Fantastic experience: This is a really nice swimming pool: A heated lido with a good flume. We went on a pretty miserable drizzly August day and had a lovely swim. We then left for lunch and came back for a second swim, utilising our day ticket. It was quiet and relaxed - a surprising good way to spend a rainy day on holiday.

Positive experience: Great day today for our first visit. Facilities were good, only criticism was the limited cafe menu choices but otherwise perfect day.

Positive experience: Really enjoyed our day here. Was very busy but didn't feel overcrowded. The only thing I didn't like was the same three boys who thought they were too important to queue like the rest of us for the slide and pushed in repeatedly throughout the day. It would be nice for a member of staff to watch at the start of the queue for people doing this but I suppose they have better things to do. Would go again.

Fantastic experience: Great opening hours, really friendly staff. The pools are warm. Well equipped gym Loads of classes for kids and adults. Swimming lessons for my school age children are very thorough. A lot of effort has gone into managing covid requirements and keeping everyone safe. The folks here really care and work their socks off and it shows. Highly recommend!
