Positive experience: It's not a bad gym at all it can get busy at peak times...but aren't they all. You will always be able to train on/with a piece equipment at these peak times .Classes are well instructed with enthusiastic coaches that are always encouraging with welcoming folk who train there .The gym is always clean and being cleaned everyday morning and night.....
Negative experience: The equipment is broke alot of the time with no rush to fix it and they charged me after i ended my membership.

Negative experience: Summary: excellent gym, great staff, poor changing rooms and no availability of cleaning equipment. I’ll start off by saying the gym is excellent, I’ve been a member of many of the main gym brands, (Virgin, pure, David Lloyd’s) this is one of the better gyms out there, plenty of squat racks and gear overall. Staff are friendly and even offer advice. The changing rooms are abysmal and completely ruin the experience if you’re going before work. Chatting to other members they don’t bother to use them except for storing a small bag or jacket during a work out. The lockers are tiny, there’s no where to hang a shirt, no hair dryers (okay there’s sockets, but you expect us to bring our own when there’s no locker space?!), overall dirty and dingy, and showers are rubbish. They’ve not changed since I was a member 5 years ago (left as I moved, now moved back). Also, after a tough and sweaty treadmill session, I asked a staff member where the spray and blue roll had gone “oh we stopped doing that a while ago” - since when did a gym turn down free cleaning? Since then I’ve been wondering how dirty everything must be as it doesn’t get cleaned. My girlfriend joined, did a session or two and quit as it’s just not practical. I will be looking around. Disappointing as it’s no longer a cheap gym, and the actual equipment and staff are very good.

Fantastic experience: I’m a beginner tbh. I go because my fella pays for the +1 and it’s mint. Wish it had a pool.
Positive experience: Absolutely appaling. I payed for a 1 month membership and then straight away cancelled the direct debit so I dont get charged for the next month because im only free this month and going away next one. Long story short they cancelled my membership 2 days into the month and I sent them multiple emails, tried calling them but to no avail and their staff only work 9-5 monday to friday and so do I so i can physically never get in contact with anyone. What a joke Edit: I was overreacting turns out once you actually get speak to someone they do fix it straight away.

Fantastic experience: Staff are very friendly and the gym floor and changing rooms are cleaned regularly. Equipment is well maintained and there are 3 Olympic platforms, as well as a functional training area with sled, slam balls and other pieces you'd expect at a modern gym.
Negative experience: Absolutely love this gym. Has a great range of everything and the PT’s are all so friendly and happy to help. Would be 5 starts BUT removing the cleaning equipment? Why?? The amount of people (have witnessed a few PT’s also) who don’t wash their hands after the toilet, the sweaty benches literally with drips of sweat on them and just lack of being able to wipe down after yourself. It’s vile and no way of cleaning them now. Makes me feel sick. Have to bring my own disinfectant wipes in now.
Hi, hope you are well. Robust cleaning regimes are still in place and we continue to pump in 100% fresh air ventilation, day and night, we clean on a daily basis, including cleaning of all equipment and gym facilities with anti-viral products. We encourage members to bring in a sweat towel to use after they have used a piece of equipment. Having cleaning stations has resulted in a significant increase in the amount of paper waster and we are focussed on minimising our waste as part of our commitment to Net-Zero. We are proud to be the very first Carbon Neutral Gym Chain in the UK. This is just a part of our efforts, for example we are also taking steps to reduce the amount of single use plastics in our vending machines.

Negative experience: the worst gym i have ever been to. front doors constantly broken, always hot inside as the “air con” vents blow warm in from outside, never any tissue or wipes to wipe down equipment. the showers are never cleaned. whenever it shuts for a “refresh” it opens even worse than before. even for a budget gym it’s extremely poor

Fantastic experience: Only joined last year(WHITEFIELD)but have thoroughly enjoyed my workouts. The staff are all helpful and friendly especially like to mention the Deputy Manager Shelly as she always finds time to chat and is very helpful with any enquiries. I would recommend this location (WHITEFIELD) to any of my friends and family. All in all 10/10
Positive experience: Been going just under a year. in that time the Gym seems to have gone a lot busier. I usually go before work and can normally do my work out but there are definitely more people there now than when i joined. i did go after work once and walked straight back out because there was not enough equipment available. Staff seem friendly enough but overall i think it's gone down hill since I joined, members seem less inclined to tidy away after themselves with weights regularly left on machines & barbells rather than being re-racked. it only takes a polite ' any chance you could re-rack those weights?' from the staff when they notice, but it goes ignored. My daughter is looking at Total fitness so might see what a family membership there looks like.

Fantastic experience: Amazing gym, always kept clean, very friendly staff especially the management team.
Fantastic experience: Excellent gym, really friendly staff and personal trainers. Ben is always willing to help and is a credit to the gym group, his spin classes are excellent too. The gym is very clean and there is always blue paper towel and spray available to wipe down the equipment. Excellent range of equipment on offer and is regularly checked by the staff - in fact Ben was checking the bikes this morning Been coming to this gym for a number of years and have no plans on leaving. I usually attend between 9.00am and 12.00am and there is a regular group of friendly members that attend during this time.

Fantastic experience: I have been coming to this year for a year and a half now and for someone who suffers from ADHD, autism and anxiety that says a lot because I normally become overwhelmed and leave, it’s a great gym, friendly, clean and a good atmosphere with instructors who are friendly and always willing to help. There is a large range of equipment and classes with a PT for everyone’s needs. They cater well for those with disabilities and make everyone feel welcome. Gym managers Ben and Matt are always there to talk to and offer advice. It’s a great gym.

Fantastic experience: Best gym in the area, great equipment which is looked after too. All that for less than £20 a month! Bargain! I use Reece as my PT 2 to 3 times a week. I recently moved back to the area and needed a PT to help continue getting fitter and stronger after I had a heart attack.

Negative experience: The treadmills are in front of the mirrors, which makes me feel dizzy. There is no lighting in the car park, which makes it unsafe for pedestrians. And creepy men often hang out, so women can’t safely go in the darker evenings. Doesn’t seem like The Gym care about this, or their female staff safety. Good equipment, but all designed for tall men. Members do not respect the gym, don’t put equipment away and leave their rubbish. Lots of classes which are great.

Fantastic experience: Love this gym, started back here 2 weeks ago to focus on weightloss, fitness and strength building after not coming for a good few years and completely giving up on myself. All the staff are really friendly and helpful. If you want results and need an extra push get a PT! Reece started working with me nearly 2 weeks ago and he's been amazing. He's giving me the extra push I need to keep my momentum going with the weightloss, tracking my nutrition, activity and workouts Etc. when I'm not at the gym he checks in to make sure im managing. He's really encouraging me and motivating me, off to a great start EDIT!! I'm still here nearly a year later and I've absolutely fell in love with fitness! If I could give this gym 10 stars I would. I've never been in a more supportive and friendly environment! The staff and the members have given me so much encouragement on my weightloss journey. They're absolutely amazing. I'm still training with reece and it's been the best move I ever made. Hes an amazing, caring, patient and understanding person. He's helped me gain so much confidence and I feel unstoppable. I'm a completely different person mentally and physically and that's all thanks to him. If you're looking for a pt I'd highly reccomend him! I love the vibe in here, it's like a community. I've made alot of friends through training here and everyone supports eachother. There's zero judgement, just people and staff/personal trainers full of encouragement who want to see fellow members reach their goals.

Negative experience: Having visited about 20 gym group locations while travelling, this probably has the best selection of equipment.. however, the members treat it like a dump. There is loaded barbells everywhere, equipment left out left right and centre (only visited late at night) and people shouting (two lads in the changing rooms together shouting “pussy-ole”.. not sure if they were trying to summon a woman? Who knows). Maybe it’s better during the day if the staff make people tidy up and nobody wiping down equipment after use when left sweaty.

Positive experience: The Gym, is local and the classes are really good. Staff are good and encouraging and very friendly. More spin classes would be great! The parking is good, however, lighting for the car parking is necessary and should be a priority.
