Fantastic experience: I’ve been coming here for over a year and a half now , and it was one of the best decisions I’ve made! All instructors and very friendly and always make you feel comfortable. If you’re looking to try one of Zara’s classes, don’t hesitate- you won’t regret it !

Negative experience: Purchased a voucher for my partner to do an aerial taster session. Purchased in September. After multiple attempts to contact and book the day for the session and every effort being ignored and still no session come February we had to get a refund. It’s a shame as this was a birthday present I thought I did well with and my partner would enjoy. If you’re going to run a business. Run it. Don’t ignore people. I am so glad I only got the one taster session and didn’t book ten sessions as I nearly did. Pleased that we got a refund too so I can’t complain about that.

Zara's Aerial Hoop & Pole Fitness

Hello Michael, Firstly I am sorry you have felt the need to write a bad review. I know the lady (your partner) you are referring to Romilly (apology if spelt wrong) the voucher was purchased in September however Romilly enquired to book in November, we had been messaging back and forth Nov, Jan and feb. The times Romilly unfortunately was available which were very limited I unfortunately had no availability as I was asked the 30th Nov or the 14th December daytime. When I am only open on Tuesday daytimes. Soon to be opening more in September. After this was explained she was available from 6-8pm tue or wed evenings. I was shut over Christmas and near the beginning January I explained I had terrible storage issues over December period resulting to messages not coming through (this was also explained to Romilly) I try my hardest to get back to people as efficiently as I can so please understand this was a very stressful time for me and my business. Once this issue was resolved I got a message from her asking for a refund. I apologised and explained about the issue and then came up with several other times and days available after explaining I hadn’t been receiving her messages due to storage problems. I got no reply for a month 10th Jan I sent her a message explaining this, I then chased and messaged her again, on the 7th feb I got a reply from her. she said her phone didn’t notify her of my replies and that she would just like a refund of which I apologised and of course this was paid in straight away. I am truly sorry for this issue and apologise deeply that a lovely present was ruined. I will take your review on board and use this to become better.

Fantastic experience: Simply love these classes, the instructors are friendly & encouraging. They always have a smile on their face too which makes a difference. When I 1st started I could barely lift my body up and now I'm hanging upside down I feel so much better in myself with the added confidence and I feel great being a stronger person. I recommend this place

Fantastic experience: Here is where my heart truly is . I love the atmosphere and the support from everyone in class, a place where the world outside can be tough, but inside this studio we all have eachother. Rows of poles and hanging hoops, what more could you ask for. I feel safe with the instructors when I'm pushing myself to my limits, all round I feel completely comfortable. Thank you for my best experience Definitely one for the new year if your considering. Xxxxx

Negative experience: I am someone who knows about a pole dance/pole fitness from the inside, as I was doing some pole before for quite some time (7+ years with having half-a year break). After moving from London to Southend, I was extremely excited to know that there’s a pole fitness studio there too as that was important for me to continue with my hobby at the new place. Recently I’ve done two classes at Zara’s studio. The first class was a pole fitness PT with a lovely instructor Nichole and a smaller group of intermediate level students, after which I was told the instructor wanted to “pass me” onto the advanced group run by Zara herself. I learned that only because I had to chase for a response about a possibility to join a next class. I was asking to share a timetable with me to see if there’s any good fit at all timewise, which never happened. Instead, I was offered a “choice with no choice” to join an advanced class on late evening on Monday, where the time didn’t really suit but I compromised as this was important for me to re-start with my hobby as I mentioned at the beginning. After having myself booked in (which was not easy as I had to send couple of text messages to be able to book myself in; I felt the level of responsiveness was quite low, although as a client I am not coming for free), I was added to a group chat too where students exchange photo/video materials taken during the class which we were strongly encouraged doing. I hope this is not shared on any public social media as I do not recall signing a consent form to have my pictures posted before I came to the class. I also do not fully understand how the personal data is stored as new students are required to give their contact details. Despite of an uncertain first impression, I thought things will change when I meet Zara in person. We met at a class and said I am willing to come often (perhaps after the Christmas break and some travel planned). I also mentioned I would be ok to arrange/pay for a 1-2-1 PT session. Straight after I walked out of the door, I was brutally removed from the group chat which blocked the opportunity for me communicate/learn about upcoming classes, or book myself in. Someone down the comments line said they felt all this comes down to £££. I do not fully agree (although I do agree with the rest of the feedback) as this client service I faced was shocking! You guys are losing £££ and clients I reckon. It would be much better not come at all than being treated like that! Now I've seen another example of how NOT TO run my own studio. All the best.

Zara's Aerial Hoop & Pole Fitness

Hello Aira, I'm sorry to hear you had a frustrating experience, but I really appreciate you bringing this issue to my attention. I truly want you to know you wasn’t brutally removed from the group chat - i had reinstalled my business WhatsApp due to storage issues which it had removed my most recently saved contacts from my WhatsApp. I did try to re add you to the group as you was down to still attend but it wouldn’t let me as you had blocked me on WhatsApp at that point, I had also tried to call you to explain this and normal message of which no luck due to being blocked on them also so I do wonder why you didn’t just simply drop me a message bringing this to my attention sooner so I do hope this reaches you so you understand why. I also want you to know that after attending the Saturday PT that I had booked you in with my instructor Nicola as you mentioned to me at the time you can only do a Saturday due to personal commitments, after explaining to me you can only do a Saturday and asked for a timetable I asked where you was level wise and instead of sending Saturdays timetable I advised the best lesson to join going by the level you advised me (I also explained to you that they are an intermediate level before you joined them) after attending the PT my instructor advised me to pass you onto me as your level was a lot more advance then the PT girls you joined so she simply advised this so you could get the best out of your lesson and money so please know that also. There is more lessons that run in the week however because you messaged me on a Saturday afternoon after the PT you joined and I replied on the Sunday I simply advised if you wanted to join my advance Monday 8:30pm group because it was the nearest lesson running from the Sunday when you messaged me at your level/ability, I also advised on a PT slot I had available so please know this wasn’t the only option you was given to join but simply the nearest class due to run at the time of messaging me, going by your reply saying ‘yes please book me in’ I wasn’t aware this was an issue and that you was looking for a different night to join as this wasn’t brought to my attention. I had given you the option to pay £10 pay as you go also as i knew you couldn’t attend weekly even though my classes are block bookings so you had the freedom to jump into classes. Me and the girls thought you were wonderful and was excited to have you join our Monday class when you could attend so its such a shock and shame to read this review. Even though I have been running my business for 17 years now I will take your comments on board and only thrive to improve. All the best in your pole journey.

Fantastic experience: I've been learning aerial hoop here for about 8 months now. Zara's is a fantastic place with amazing instructors, and such a lovely community of women in there! Not intimidating at all - extremely welcoming! Zara herself is top class...solid instruction, amazing support and encouragement, and really delivers a challenging yet achievable class. Highly recommend giving one of the classes a go if you're considering it!

Negative experience: I have been going to Zaras Aerial Arts Centre for an aerial Hoop class. I would not recommend them for several reasons: There is not enough room. Too many people crammed into a small space. We are constantly kicking each other and banging heads. There is no or little regard to safety either. The instructor can’t handle that many people which puts peoples safety at risk, but also the limited instructions given does not put a lot of confidence in pupils either. They seem more concerned with encouraging us to take photos/videos. Which is just a way of getting content for their social media. I haven’t even finished my course and because i said I was not extending into the next set of sessions, i have been removed from the group chat- so no way of viewing anything or contacting them now! I feel all this comes down to £££. Such a shame!

Fantastic experience: I've had a few private lessons and regret not doing this sooner! The teachers are all wonderful and you feel at ease instantly. Very encouraging and supportive environment, not to mention such a good workout! If you are thinking about doing this, take the plunge! It will be so worth it!

Fantastic experience: I started with Zara and her team of awsome instructors in 2020 just before covid and once lockdown had been lifted and I could go back. I came in as a total beginner to hoop and attended her beginners group sessions, from there i moved to 1 2 1 sessions with one of her lovely instructors Emma, over the past year I have been taught by all of Zaras team and have managed to gain in body strength, confidence and weight loss. I chose to do 1 2 1 sessions because i get easily distracted in loud and group situations and all the instructors have been patient but also firm. Recently I decided to try pole fitness and have been really enjoying it. Zara and her team are all fun and motivating to learn with and do whatever they can to make the sessions as enjoyable as possible..I love this place and its friendly atmosphere and have even learnt to love the bruises you get too sorry that's unavoidable you will get bruised and ache but you'll still be smiling at the end of each session and seeing your progression makes it all worth it. Thank you ladies you are all great teachers ❤️ This year I decided to give Pole a go, I mean after doing Aerial Hoop how hard could it be right!! WRONG!!!! Honestly you ladies are absolute heroes. So many times ive watched your tutorials and though "yea i could do that easy" nope not even close to easy . To all you pole ladies you make it look so easy and it really isnt, the amount of practise and dedication you all is unreal. ❤️❤️❤️ And a huge thank you to my instructor Nicola shes so patient and persistent even when my body and brain dont want to work ( and i struggle with being co ordinated at the best of times) I dont know how you stay so calm..even i get annoyed with myself.❤️❤️

Fantastic experience: I’ve been at Zara’s Aerial art centre for nearly a year now… was the best decision I made for myself not only do a have some time to myself away from normal life it’s also given me new confidence and I’ve learnt so much. The teachers are so talented and good at what they do and they’re excellent at supporting and pushing you to your full abilities. It’s fun it’s fitness and I will most definitely keep going. Grateful I am attending this place and met/ meeting so many lovely people. Thank you Zara’s Aerial art centre!

Fantastic experience: I have been learning aerial hoop since January 2022 and I have loved every minute of it - the studio is always clean and presentable and I always feel safe with the tutors and on the equipment. Zara is an amazing and experienced tutor who pushes you with encouragement to achieve things you weren't sure you could, but is also patient and recognises things you find challenging and supports you through it to face your fears in an understanding way. Classes are varied and challenging and catered to your current skill level, but also working to develop it each lesson. Zara also offers private classes which are really good value as you get a lot from the hour and work hard, and they give you a chance to push yourself further and learn additional skills. Wish I had started hooping years ago!

Fantastic experience: I have been going here for 7 years, doing one pole and one hoop session a week. When I started I had zero upper body strength. I now have the ability to hang upside with ease and hang from my arms with confidence. The classes push you gently into doing moves and poses that you never thought you'd be able to do whilst surrounded by the most positive energy from the instructors to everyone in the class. I am 44 years old, and thanks to Zara's Aerial Fitness I feel confident that should there ever be a zombie apocalypse, I would be able to wait it out with ease, because I have the ability to climb a pole and go into a cross leg sit or a martini

Fantastic experience: I love Zara's Aerial Hoop classes. I have been going to the classes for over a year. It's great fun to be hanging around in a hoop, creating amazing looking shapes with my body and learning routines. I really wanted to build up my strength, core and overall, and it is a great way to do it. Zara and her teachers are amazing. The instructions are clear, easily understood and executed. The teachers are always observant and encouraging so that we feel safe. Zara is super passionate about her studio and her bubbly, friendly nature makes it a joy to go to class. I have met some great fellow hoopers and this class is the highlight of my week

Fantastic experience: Been going to pole fitness with Zara for 6 years now. Zara has always made everyone feel comfortable when joining new classes. With her positive, upbeat and kind energy, she really is a great teacher. Pole fitness is great way to get yourself out your comfort zone and see what your body is truly capable of! It’s also a great way to have a laugh and make new friends.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been coming here for over 2 years now for both pole and aerial hoop classes and I love it! It’s not just taught me a new skill but helped me to develop my fitness, build my confidence, and I’ve made some friends for life ❤️ I started both as an absolute beginner with 0 upper body strength, and now I’m dangling upside down and throwing myself around twice a week and loving it. I massively recommend Zara to anyone who’s thinking about joining - you won’t regret it!

Fantastic experience: An amazing way to get in shape. Also helps that Zara and all the instructors are amazing at their craft and very supportive and encouraging. They offer a range of classes for different levels and everyone is welcome. Zara goes out of her way to accommodate different schedules by offering group sessions and one on one sessions as well.
