Fantastic experience: This Martial art centre is the heart and soul of Martial arts in this area! I have been training here for over 15 years. This martial art centre not only provided me with amazing martial art training it has also provided me with a family and friends that I could never imagine my life without. It’s a family run business who treats members and staff like their own. The quality of training here is amazing with well trained instructors who deliver the best quality of martial arts to both children and adults. If you’re a beginner or experienced I would definitely recommend coming here to learn!

Fantastic experience: This place has been a gem in the local Twickenham community for over 40 years, run by the wonderful Perry family - Sensei Frank Perry a a total legend (so is his wife Shelley!) and he has been a pioneer for martial arts in the UK for decades. Frank started training at the age of 9 - back in the day when most of us in the UK had not even heard of Karate or Judo or Aikido! He has sons who have grown up in this place and are next Gen Sensei’s with a strong commitment to uphold the quality of coaching - it’s a different level. The respect and attention to the finer details of the art of martial arts is beautiful, a rarity in a modern chaotic world and the gym looks like a scene out of Kill Bill to me, i love it! I train in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu during the morning and lunchtimes with VAI Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and the members always comment on how they are charmed by the character of the place. Long live the Bu’sen! If you have never been inside check it out it’s worth the visit and the best place to find the best quality martial arts and self defense coaching in the area. Fantastic experience: I have been training at Bu'sen for 13 years and the quality of coaching and the staff has always been excellent. The dojo really feels like a Japanese dojo and not just a hall with mats, reflecting the Anglo-Japanese Style of the Judo at Bu'sen. Amazing all around, a brilliant martial arts centre.

Fantastic experience: Hygienic place. Clean matts. Very traditional Japanese decor. Teacher Kiran was patient with me. The dojo took the time to discuss my epilepsy and what to do in case of an attack. Nice place to train. I did a trial in both Juitsu and Karate.

Fantastic experience: The reason we started here was the high regard others viewed them in, the reason we stayed was the inclusive family feel to the club. My kids and I ended up as regulars and we've been going here for judo, jitsu and more recently karate over the last 8 years. It's a fantastic club, whose instructors do their utmost to help and improve their members martial arts skills and more importantly, have fun!

Positive experience: Overpriced

Negative experience: The focus of the club is collecting your monies, not the results. Joining fee, monthly premiums, cost for gradings and belts - not worth it. My kids has attended Bu'sen for a year, and I have an impression the club that is led by a poor management and a huge lack of dedication is only trying to survive for the sake of income.

Fantastic experience: Our family has been part of the Busen club for 8 years. It is a wonderful, family run business. The instructors are best in class and fantastic with kids. They offer judo and karate for kids - great for fitness and super for discipline! I would highly recommend locals visiting and trialling via a free trial class.
