Fantastic experience: One of the best gyms in Scotland

Negative experience: Used this Gym for years with no issue. Cancelling of the membership is made intentionally difficult. You are unable to cancel at the reception or via the app. Cancelling your direct debit results in continued transactions to accrue in your account, instead of terminating the contract after 1 missed payment. You are then threatened with the debt being passed to a 3rd party recovery agency and told that this may lead to negatively impacting your credit rating. Payments are made prior to the month starting, when cancelling you are told it is a requirement to pay for 1 additional month regardless of intention to use the facilities or not. This is not how I would expect a public health facility to treat its members.

Negative experience: Disgraceful place only intreasted in your money not willing to help you. They told me I have to give them 30 days notice to cancel. So i gave them 30 days notice, they come back with only after the commitment period which is apparently a year so they will take off 13 months payment before you can cancel. Will never and I mean NEVER deal with them again and I DO NOT RECOMMEND THEM UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES

Positive experience: Good gym, non profit but some of the equipment starting to be a bit dated. The cafe is great as is the Sauna and hot pool. Lots of great classes included in your membership

Negative experience: If you need to use the gym before 9 or after 4 dont bother - too busy to use any standard equipment. Too many memberships issued. Didn't take my direct debit out my account and was emailed countless times with threats of taking it to a debt collection agency. Bit ridiculous over £32 and an issue caused by the gym. Cancelled membership and would never recommend.

Negative experience: ATTENTION: IF YOU WERE AT THIS GYM OVER 2 YEARS AGO, I AM LOOKING FOR THE WITNESSES WHO SEEN ME CALLED GAY, A WOMAN SHOUTING IN MY FACE AND A GUY SKIPPING ME ON MACHINES. This gym is taking legal action as I called them what I was called and they covered it up. Please message me as once my trial is finished in February, I am launching counter charges against these individuals and the manager if he obstructs justice. The manager will tell you i started after him, but have evidence through my induction email from 2019 that he lied. I have Schizophrenia and been hospitalized twice, so if you want a clear conscience you will contact me to be my witnesses. if you don't recognize me, I was the guy singing along to metal music. I was told in hospital if anyone harassed me, I was to take legal action if anyone harassed me. If i get charged for doing what they did, they are getting charged too. THE MANAGER TRIED TO SILENCE ME BY DELETING COMMENTS AND CHARGING ME, BUT I WILL NEVER GIVE UP UNTIL THEY ARE EXPOSED. UNTIL THERE IS EQUAL TREATMENT, I WILL FIGHT THEM.

Negative experience: Facilities very good ane some of the staff are excellent.However on one very recently i was ill having panic attacks and an established member of staff who is well in ignored my pleas for support ⁸r and instead carried on using his mobile phone i found his attitude appalling and he should have been severely repremanded he wasnt anything but .To his credit Ewan and the lady owner were supportive as they got me transport for hosopital.But my negative exoerience with the ignirsnt membee ommmmmmmm

Positive experience: Great staff and overall good gym. The two things that serverly let it down is the showers and the ONE water fountain. The showers are small squares with two flappy panels for doors, similar to saloon style doors, giving you about 75% privacy, basically you can lock eyes with the person in the shower in front. The shower floors aren't that nice, stained with yellowness and a wee bit smelly, they should consider tile floors and new doors to give privacy. Also the showers itself is a push button operated one, it's either scolding hot or freezing cold should have temp control and shower tap to stop you having to press the button. There is One water fountain, unless I am missing the other ones. The one water fountain dribbles water after about 2 seconds of pouring, it takes about 15 minutes to fill up my biggish water bottle. Also they should have one at the spa bit to encourage water drinking. Otherwise good equipment and great staff

Positive experience: Excellent gym, everything you could ever need and more. Quality equipment, friendly staff, great cafe and very high quality spa area. Some things let it down massively though. There is only 1 water fountain available throughout the entire which more often than not doesn't work properly. There is no way to replenish your water bottle in the spa section of the gym which can be considerably dangerous after a lengthy sauna session. There is no cold showers available for after use of the sauna there is however a cold water bucket however this isn't really sufficient enough. My critique is harsh but extremely fair. These points could be very easily amended truly making this gym completely faultless.

Fantastic experience: The only gym I’ve gone to and felt at ease and not felt out of place. Lots of facilities to use such as classes spin etc, also a Japanese spa area with a steam room and a sauna. Changing rooms and shower areas are kept clean at all times. The memberships are fantastic for the price especially my one as I am on a student one. This gives me access to everything in the gym the classes and spa area. Would highly recommend.

Negative experience: Be wary of pricing with this company as it is very unclear. Online they offer an annual membership with 2 months free if you pay annually but when you click it this offer does not exist. Then when you have go in to the establishment this is where it also gets more confusing. They then try hard to push the direct debit monthly option on you even though you have requested the annual with 2 months free. Its like when you speak no-one is listening. When we went in we wanted the couples annual rate, which if you check the website again it is not available. So we went tried to get this with our corporate discount of 25%, which clearly states it was available with all annual memberships. Was told it was not available and then was laughed at and was told "haha no-one gets a discount on the couples annual rate". Its was embarrassing as this was in front of the whole gym as they do not take you to a room to discuss your contract or the details of it. No you have to talk loudly over the music that is played in the gym and at the front counter. If you are thinking of getting a membership do not expect to get the corporate discount even though it is clearly stated on the documents you have been supplied.
