Fantastic experience: Only went to restaurant - food was spectacular

Positive experience: Only used the driving range on a Sunday evening. Very busy, only one bay available, we were surrounded by non golfers; the steelwork was taking a battering. No-one obvious overseeing what was going on, or to assist with problems. A chap did walk through at one point but it was not obvious he worked there. Ball machine and vending machine take cards, couldn't see toilets. Would like to play the course but not sure about using range again.

Fantastic experience: We played the golf course on an away day. The course was in very condition, greens were a little jumpy, but overall a very nice course. The half way house is a nice touch. The food and service in the clubhouse was excellent.

Fantastic experience: Fantastic golf course. In my short time as a member it has been in wonderful condition - even after heavy rain. Long but not too difficult - even for beginners. Staff friendly and welcoming. Some members refuse to let you play through but most are very accommodating.

Fantastic experience: First time I had been here, I found it really clean simple to use we Collectibles the app to track the length and type of shots worked really well. Can’t think of anything bad about this.

Fantastic experience: I had my baby shower recently on 6th May. We used the function room with a capacity of 30 - located by the golf restaurant downstairs. The view we had was beautiful, perfect location for an intimate event. We had an amazing experience from organising and booking the event to the service we experienced on the day. They were able to cater to our needs in terms of food/drink as we had many requirements to consider. The communication with the organising team was swift and very helpful. Hannah was tending to our needs on the day and she was fantastic. Very respectful towards guests and made our hosting very easy! None of our requests on the day were delayed and made things run smoothly. Very pleased with the location and service of the whole team. Thank you!

Fantastic experience: Excellent venue, service and atmosphere. Lovely course in phenomenal condition given the recent weather.

Negative experience: New Driving Range - This review is just for the driving range alone and separate to all other facilities at the club. I visited the newly refurbished driving range after an extended hiatus from golf. The new bays all look great but there is absolutely zero privacy between the bays now. The new tracker screens point away from your bay so you have to keep walking to the rear to read when it’s sunny (although perfect for the bay behind to read and tell you how your getting on). There now seems to be a “warden” monitoring your shots and when I hit an inevitable wayward shot I was given a verbal warning like I did this on purpose. Overall it feels very pretentious and not accommodating for the everyday guy wanting to practice. I will be going to the 3 hammers and stone golf centre from now on.

Fantastic experience: We did some balloons for a Baby Shower. The room was lovely. Very clean and tidy. Perfect for a small family gathering. Helpful staff. I don’t think you would be disappointed.

I didn't want a sweet so I asked if I could have the coffee instead and guess what they couldn't do that Good meal 28 quids worth No Won't visit again

Fantastic experience: Signed up recently with my partner and have to say, it’s the best gym/spa we have been to. We were looking for somewhere we can escape to after a long hard days work, work out/relax and we have found it. Staff are lovely, can’t help you enough, equipment is great for what’s there and the sauna/steam/ice area is well looked after as is the changing rooms.

Fantastic experience: Had a birthday celebration meal, food was delicious and service second to none. The friendly and helpful staff dealt with our party of 20 quickly and efficiently. Would highly recommend for either intimate meal for 2, family meal or celebration group. Didn't stay in the hotel as we are all fairly local.

Positive experience: Good building to have witches markets in, shame about the golfer’s who are all a bit stuck up

Negative experience: The clubhouse and accommodation quite good but expensive the golf course poor featureless.

Fantastic experience: The Chase Golf club as been the venue For the Rotary charity golf day for the past 15 years. The management and staff have supported us for all these years. The golf day is the biggest contribution to our charity funds, enabling us to support local and International charities. This year’s charity event took place on the 26th September. We had good weather, good food and great support. Thanks again for your help and support.

Fantastic experience: Very enjoyable Sunday lunch. Pleasant surroundings, nice food and great service

Positive experience: I played here as part of a society of about 32 players. The course was a good challenge, with plenty of par 5s proving quite a challenge. The course was well drained considering all the rain fall we'd recently had and the greens were running well. The clubhouse is very nice and the food looked great. There's a decent driving range, chipping & putting areas as well as a gym. It appeared to be a very busy place which is great to see for a golf club.

Negative experience: I have never stayed there but I understand the rooms are very good. I recently took part in a charity golf day and I found the catering and bar staff were very unhelpful and boarding on being rude. We were told there would be free tea or coffee half way through the round. When we went in the staff were very off hand and there were no drinks. The event meal was very simple and our table was served some 45 minutes after the first table and there were only 10 table's.We told them our veg was cold but to be honest the staff just ignored us. The sweet was disappointing and again served cold. It's a real shame because the service used to be first class. Be some time before we go back.

Fantastic experience: Attended a good friends wedding here recently. It was an awesome evening and the facilities were excellent.

Positive experience: It was golf invitation day and there was no bar food available until they had served a wedding party in another room. The chef's family then came out ro the golfers area eating a plate of cooked food - it was not on. Not good enough. There was a missed opportunity to provide food for the golfers. Even if it was only snacks. Members were embarrassed at having to take their guests elsewhere for hot food. Lovely venue but they need to get the catering sorted. Rant over.

Fantastic experience: had our wedding here on 10.08.23 and we had the most amazing day. the venue is absolutely beautiful and we had the best beautiful summers day which made it even better. Claire and maisie made everything so stress free for us from beginning to end. we didn't have to do anything at all and any questions I had they got back to us so quickly and were always happy to help. our master of ceremonies on the day was Paul and he was just absolutely amazing, he made sure everything ran smoothly and he was so kind. all the staff at the chase were lovely including Adam the DJ who made sure we all had a great night dancing away, the food was delicious, the rooms were amazing and the venue is just stunning. I could not fault 1 thing here, it was just perfect. would not hesitate to recommend anyone to get married here as there's just no faults whatsoever. everyone at our wedding commented and still talks about how great it was. thank you everyone at the chase for making our day as amazing as it was!!!

Fantastic experience: Held our wedding here on Saturday 15th. As soon as we arrived we were extremely well looked after by Paul, what an incredible man he is. He calmed my nerves and led the wedding exceptionally well. Honestly, he is worth his weight in gold. Everyone commented on what a lovely, helpful person he was. Huge thank you Paul. The venue is incredible for holding a wedding and the views are out of this world. The rooms are spacious, spotless and the bed is amongst one of the most comfortable we have ever slept in. Claire and Maisy were incredibly helpful when booking the wedding and replied fast to any questions and queries I had (almost daily!) The food was delicious, we also ate in the restaurant the evening before the wedding and highly recommend it, food was hot and freshly cooked to our liking. We danced the night away, the resident DJ Adam played any request we had. If you want an exceptional wedding, I would highly recommend this venue. Thanks to all the staff - Especially Paul Mr and Mrs Johnson

Fantastic experience: Attended a wedding and stayed overnight. Staff were friendly and attentive, rooms were very clean and elegantly decorated. Food was of a high standard. No complaints at all.

Fantastic experience: Amazing rooms with great views of the golf course. Main restaurant was closed when we visited but has great reviews. Club house bar and food was great and very resembley priced. Spa and gym included with room cost and this was very nice. I really liked the ice crystals to rub down with after you have steamed or used the sauna. Breakfast included was excellent.

Positive experience: Took my mum for a meal. Service was brilliant and so was the food. We had the steak special which was brilliant value and tastiest meal out for ages.

Positive experience: Great value. Clean well equipped rooms. One divan in 'Aspen' room lumpy. Showers could do with screens. Very quiet, perhaps a reflection of winter time. Limited amenities as middle of the golf course but bar and restaurant good. Good breakfast spoiled by reheated coffee and measly sausage. If you are a golfer, brilliant. As a hotel, very good.

Fantastic experience: What a lovely experience. We didn't stay overnight, we only attended the Woodlands Restaurant.. From the minute we arrived we were very well looked after. There were 8 of us for a family birthday celebration. Natalie was awesome. (To be fair, everyone was awesome, but Natalie was the only one with a name badge ).. She discussed any dietary requirements (we had a couple of strange requests) and checked with the chef to ensure we could be accommodated.... which we were... and some... The food was amazing. High-end without the pretentiousness you can get in some establishments. I would recommend this place to anyone.. it's very grounded, and they don't try to charge you a second mortgage to pay for dinner, yet you feel like you should... 3 courses with drinks was a little over £35 per head.. but felt like it could have been way more.. all of the staff were very pleasant, and actually looked like they enjoyed having you there.. you MUST make the effort to travel to dine at the restaurant..

Fantastic experience: Such a lovely place in a beautiful location overlooking the golf course. Open to non members. Bar meals are really good, service is excellent and so friendly. Will be back to try the restaurant very soon. Not stayed here yet. Highly recommended.

Fantastic experience: We had our wedding at Chase golf club. We had looked at a few venues before chase golf club and when we arrived here we just knew this would be the perfect venue for us. All of the staff were friendly and the venue itself is modern and set on beautiful grounds. From the moment we booked the wedding their communication was fantastic. No question was stupid and they always replied and helped quickly. myself and the bridesmaids stopped over the night before the wedding and booked a meal in The Woodlands Restaurant. The table was decorated in rose petals and we were given a complimentary shot which was a lovely added touch. The food was incredible. We liked the food so much a family member booked their 60th birthday there. On the actual day of the wedding each and every member of staff worked incredibly hard to ensure the day ran as smoothly as possible. A big shoutout to Claire, Maisy, Paul and Adam the DJ for helping to make our day extra special. Although every member of staff worked incredibly hard but unfortunately didn’t get their names. So many of our guests commented on how our wedding just seemed to run seamlessly and seemed stress free. I believe this is down to the incredibly hard work of the staff. If you’re looking for a beautiful wedding venue with incredible staff this is the wedding venue for you. Thank you so much for helping to make our day extra special.

Fantastic experience: I have only joined the health club (gym) today, but if first impressions are anything to go by then I expect the experience to be worthwhile. The user experience from enquiry to having a tour of the gym was brilliant. Very helpful and friendly staff. Alison was brilliant in answering all my questions and taking the time to ensure my visit was worthwhile and made sure my registration was taken care of. My initial impressions of the health club is that it is clean, well-looked after and the staff take pride in what they do. This is becoming more rare in chain gyms which was my reason for looking elsewhere. The fact that the facilities are adults only is also a nice touch and with the restaurant and spa onsite, no doubt I will be spending more time not only in the gym, but also exploring the other facilities. I will update this review in a few months once I have had a chance to use the health club properly. Fingers crossed it continues to deliver.

Fantastic experience: This place is beyond brilliant - my kids took us here as a birthday meal out and the food was amazing. We have lived in Cheslyn Hay now for four years and can't believe my kids who aren't local found it despite being kinda on our doorstep. We will certainly return now we know the place exists!!

Fantastic experience: We went to the Woodlands Restaurant for a surprise 95th birthday lunch. There were 16 of us. The staff were very good to us all nothing was any trouble. The food was delicious. This was my first time at the restaurant I will certainly be returning very soon.

Fantastic experience: This review is based on the health club :) I have been attending this gym for over a year and have stuck to actually going and at times alone. From the minute you arrive you feel like your part of a community everyone is so friendly and down to earth. All the lady’s on the welcome desk are kind, caring and love a chat and it’s genuine. Micheal who signed me up is the comical value of the place, polite and takes time to talk to you. Like any gym they want to sign you up and get you started on your journey but your not left alone In the actual gym they spend time creating a plan with you and when your in there they personal trainers come along have a chat with you also. Or if you ever need any help or advice they are willing to spend time and have a chat. All the trainers are fab but massive shout out the Ryan and Kirsty for all your help, tips and guidance. This is a gym that I am happy to go to alone, it’s nice having a gym buddy but we can’t always do the same days but going alone never actually feels like your alone with the fab team there.

Positive experience: Woodlands restaurant: Whilst it was nice with pleasant views I did find the reviews to be overhyped as the 'best restaurant in South staffs' ? Not really. Leaving a critical review as they aim high but don't deliver to the standard they seem to think they are at. Triple cooked chips were not - a bit soggy. Bread with a starter should have had oil and balsamic. Egg on gammon was not runny, gammon was not properly trimmed. Custard, whilst proper egg custard was too light. Menu options actually a little pub grubbish, although nicely cooked didn't match the hype. I think this offering can improve.

Fantastic experience: Hotel is superb, the room was nicely furnished and quiet. The staff were friendly, I couldn't fault it. We had a meal at the Woodlands restaurant which was excellent. We shall be staying there again.
