Negative experience: Went to this gym the other week. Paid for my session then tried to sign in to the app which this gym uses to gain entry as it’s in 24/7 operation. As the app that this gym uses is the same app I use for another gym I am member of, i was unable to gain entry into the app due to technical issues; therefore the gym as well. I rang the doorbell and also used the contact number and received no answer. So I left a voicemail and also tried ringing multiple other times across different hours. I completely understand that it’s no one’s fault that I couldn’t gain entry that day, but deliberately not replying to any of my voicemails or even attempting to call back a customer is awful business etiquette. Essentially I have been scammed out of a day pass (£8.00). Wouldn’t recommend this gym and I will not be returning. I just hope the owner sees this and try’s to get in touch.

Fantastic experience: Steel fitness is a one of a kind gym. Not only has the Gym got all top quality high end equipment but it also has a killer atmosphere. If your after a gym to lift weights and get fit this is the gym you need. What tops it off is that the owner is a pro bodybuilder with tons of experience. 100% recommend steel fitness.

If your struggling with anything the amazing staff and members are always willing to help. This is what a gym is supposed to be! A fully equipped space with a community full of members with varying levels of knowledge helping and encouraging each other to be/get better every day.

Fantastic experience: If your looking for a commercial gym that takes 30 mins for each bit of equipment to become free and offers fruity drinks for an extra subscription.. Steel Fitness is not the gym for you.. If your looking for a proper gym where most of the people going have experience and you learn something new every time you go. There is no alternative. The owner of the gym, Chris, also works out there and is always happy to offer advice wherever needed. Fantastic experience: Steel Fitness has been my regular gym for nearly two years. I absolutely love this place, so much great equipment and a fair amount of hard to find equipment that you would never see in most commercial gyms. Good friendly atmosphere, and the gym caters to everyone from those trying out a gym for the first time up to professional lifters. Open 24/7 365 days a year, so you have no limit to the times when you can train.

The operators of the establishment are friendly and always willing to pass on expertise gained not just from books but from practical know how! Open 24/7 is a massive plus and its still better value than the rest of the gyms in the local area!

Positive experience: Visited to look around for membership special offer. gym looks clean and well maintained, small number of classes with good staff to participant ratio, changing rooms spotless. unfortunately I decided not to join for various reasons but am sure this is a good gym to join for the right people. a little surprised by the owner's assertion that I have neber visited though I don't remember seeing him during the visit. felt the 4 stars was reasonable and not unduly harsh.
