Fantastic experience: Been a member for a few months now, highly recommended. Great selection of equipment, the other members are friendly or just keep to themselves which I appreciate when working out. The building is open 24/7 which makes working out possible for everyone. Although it isn't staffed all the time, I have always seen staff there when I visit. I find the staff to be friendly and approachable.

Fantastic experience: I joined this gym for the zumba classes over a year ago and haven't looked back. It's a fun, energetic and welcoming class. A lot of this is down to the instructor Charlie! Also, the timings of the classes fit well with the working week for me, which is really important when choosing a gym.

Fantastic experience: I felt extremely self conscious when I first started the gym, however from day one I felt at home in this gym. The actual gym community is lovely and everyone has a minute or two to spare for a hello. The staff at the gym is amazing. Charlie always has a smile on his face. Takes the time to talk to you and share his knowledge. He’s straight to the point and professional. Phil always has time in his day for you and helped me improve when I first started. The staff is always friendly and supportive. The gym group is truly a great gym with some of the best personal trainers out there. Thank you!

Fantastic experience: Great gym with ample equipment. I regularly attend the fitness classes including Zumba, HITT and fit pump. Instructors are brilliant and keep the classes fun and motivating. Also a great atmosphere with approachable fitness trainers, I don't think I would have made the progress I have without the motivation and guidance from them! I would recommend Zumba to everyone, it's my favourite time of the week! Classes being included in membership also means that it's great value for money.

Charlie, the personal trainer, is incredibly friendly and readily available to assist with any questions or schedule personal training sessions. With a variety of classes tailored for all abilities, the gym is exceptionally welcoming.

Fantastic experience: Charlie is my first and best personal trainer I would ever wish for. It was my first gym experience and I randomly chosen Charlie to be my PT, but he proved my choice was correct. I enjoy a lot training with him.

Damien took me around at first n seems a good lad always very polite and the gym culture here seens pretty good. Crap photo my cameras broke

Fantastic experience: First day, after a longish absence from working out in a gym. There were plenty of parking spaces on arrival, in the gym car park and also in the adjacent public car park. The gym has an excellent atmosphere, is well lit and airy. There are many work stations/machines and free weight areas. All areas of the premises are clean and modern, and the Manager is helpful, professional and knowledgeable. I am very pleased I joined.

Fantastic experience: I recently joined so that I can work on my health and fitness before turning 30 next year, I have been trying to go after work at 3:30 every day, but every time I go in it is full of school children who with some I think have lied about their age on the app, they mess around in the changing rooms so you can't get in to change, they sit on equipment without using it, basically use it as a hang out after school, I had to walk out as soon as I walked on Friday because I couldn't even get changed. The gym should be for people who genuinely want to get fit and work hard, not for running around and treating it like a playground, this should be monitored so much better, the staff that are there just sit on their phones or ignore it

Fantastic experience: Very accesable and kind employees. I prefer this gym as i dont have to talk to anyone and go for the whole day or register for a class and get reslly social for a measly hour. This is the perfect gym for anyone to start their fitness jorney wih no judgement

Fantastic experience: A great gym, simple but what more do you need. Personal trainers if you want/need them, plenty of machines, free weights and equipment. Busy at times and parking is definitely not big enough. Saying that I’d highly recommend The Gym to anyone who wants to use a gym

Negative experience: Appalling customer service. Never any staff available to help. Tried accessing in 3 separate occasions, all unsuccessfully because my pin didn’t work. When trying to contact for help waited over 2 weeks for them to reply saying “you tried the wrong access box” - I tried 3 different ones. Disgusting service.

Fantastic experience: I joined the gym in Newton Abbot over a two ago and it’s become my second home. The staff are always helpful and friendly and most people I have come across are a great bunch. I started working with Charlie Long and he has taken my overall fitness to the next level and beyond. The equipment is well maintained and kept clean and tidy. I have been to a many gyms and cannot rate this one any more highly to new and experienced people wherever they are on their fitness journey.

A special shout to my personal trainer Charlie! I have been with him over a year now and the results speak for themselves. He is calm, patient and will adapt everything to suit your individual needs, couldn’t recommend him highly enough!

Fantastic experience: There's a really nice man working in this gym, I think his name's Damien. Whenever I walk into the gym he gives me a cheeky smile while gently placing his hand on my lower back and softly telling me I'm a good boy... I feel motivation surge throughout my entire body which leads me to workout with extreme focus, placing me into an advantageous state for building those delicious muscles we all desire. For this reason I feel obliged to give the gym 5/5 stars
